Another great video Davey. Some revealing close-ups showing the increasing rate of erosion. Everyone one on the east coast should subscribe to your channel for the latest erosion updates.
The clay tile tells a story. It is draining the park to the cliffs!! It was also dug in at one time which disturbed the natural cohesiveness of the soil. Notice too, what the hard surface sidewalk runoff does to erode the cliff faster than the surrounding area at 0:36. At 1:22 the pipe has pulled apart, dumped its water, and caused the huge fissure that is ready to go - while the pipe to the left has daylighted at a joint. The kitty likely knows rodents are burrowing into the easy pickings, too. Hopefully the wet roads are from rain and not a sprinkler system!! Great stuff, Davey!!!
Davey I think you should send your footage to whoever owns that caravan park. It looks like people can wander right up to the edge not realising that it could shift downwards at any time with them on it, it needs some kind of warning sign or barrier. Also I think they need to move the row of caravans nearest the edge back a few feet. Well done noticing this.
I'm from Hornsea, and I know that one of the councillors is using my footage in a council meeting soon. I imagine she will see this video, so hopefully, they will cordon it off.
I have seen that stretch disappear in meters in a 24 hour period. They don’t tend to move the caravans until theres hardly any distance from the cliff edge. I can remember one close to where the sea defences start that only had about 2 to 3 feet left before it was moved. It was a very last minute move. I haven’t been there for a while but in ten years I only ever saw one sign/small barrier at the end of a road that had gone into the sea. No other barriers or warnings were to be seen. Perhaps they have changed that now but I wouldn’t know. Because on the top there is little evidence of cracks visible in the grass it’s quite deceptive and leads you to believe the land is quite stable and safe but it obviously is not. There is a large population of rabbits and foxes living there & I used to wonder if their burrows could cause subsidence on that park but it looks as if the sea will take away the land way before the animals cause issues.
Really enjoying your videos mate can’t believe what’s happening around here the coastline by you keep up the great work ☘️
Much appreciated, cheers buddy 😊

I imagine the animals plus the caravan site plumbing and disturbance will help with the deterioration of the land..
