Girlll I know exactly what u mean with hair color....whenever I wear burgundy I always have to wear either a nude gloss or red lipstick to match or else my makeup looks really weird and uncoordinated. Like u gotta match the makeup to the hair and the hair to the outfit, its a whole puzzle girl lol

When I used it it shed ALOT! I love the rod set though and the color! And yes separation is necessary!!! Gorgeous
