    Well, Pete, I'm a keyboard player that has always managed to find a way to run my gear through guitar pedals, so I'm a sucker for pedal demos - anywhere, anytime! I must say that, hands down, your videos and demos are simply the best. You have fantastic musicianship, sensitivity, command of the instrument and the technology being demonstrated and you put together a mean demo song every time. Well done. VK and the vendors are extremely lucky to have you on board. Kudos on another gem!
    As a side note: I'd love to see pedal manufacturers start to make pedals meant for keyboards that can sit on top, be tweaked in realtime by hand and generally kick ass. Some of us are closet lead guitarists/rhythm guitarists that like to throw down a mad solo on the keys now and again with some screaming distortion, feedback, etc. It would be great if they just added an input switch to existing pedals to accomodate the hot line-level inputs from a keyboard. I'm just sayin'. Keep up the incredible work, Pete!

    That 335 of yours has the best midrange bark ever. It stands out yet it's still somehow smooth. And the Pettyjohn Pettydrive is also the most natural sounding crunch pedal I've ever heard. The A channel's just like a good Plexi. Great stuff Pete. Love your demos. Rock on!

    Hello Pete!! That is a great sounding pedal,and that statement is coming from a person who doesn't use many pedals,aside from the usual echo,and reverb,and of course my Wah.

    i like the intro piece alot!...sounds like old skool Skynyrd meets old skool Chicago....like 'Simple Man' and '25 or 6 to 4' slow cooked together all day in a crock pot. Very lightly seasoned with some Head East just before serving.

    Great demo as always! I think you have the nucleus for a great new CD song there. At 0:59, you DO know that according to the rules of Southern Rock, you're allowed about another 30 seconds... er... minutes... of that riff don't you? Rawwwk!!!

  • @diablilloperdio
    @diablilloperdio 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Pete, stupid question: when you record the pedal demos do you go from pedal out to amp to mic then DAW or do you go straight into DAW or some other way? Thanks for the demo. Cool sounds on this one lots of harmonics on the left channel.

    • @PeteThorn
      @PeteThorn  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sometimes I mic a cab sometimes I go amp-load box-interface- daw and add speaker sim in the daw

      +BRENDON COLEMAN GUITAR,MUSIC & AURAL EXCITEMENT - Well,uh... 6,848 Km or 4,255 miles... at 747 cruising speed, it's about 7.5 hours from Japan. God I wish Australia were a little bit closer to anything besides NZ!! I'm in Texas and would LOVE to visit Oz. I even have relatives there but still don't have the excuse needed to make that lengthy jaunt. Some day though!! ;-) I know you want to see Pete (don't we all) not me... but felt compelled to chime in. Aussie Aussie Aussie!!! PS: From Oz to LA it's another 14+ hours. I guess Oz wouldn't be Oz if it weren't remote!!

      Hi, I used the SL68 for the intro song, and the rest of the demo was the PT100 clean channel. Suhr reactive load and ownhammer greenback IR for speaker simulation.

      @@pettyjohnelectronics can you please tell me about the upgraded chipset of the deluxe PettyDrive (which I have), and compare that to what you did with the Iron&Chime in both the mkl and mkll versions? Thanks!

    • @pettyjohnelectronics
      @pettyjohnelectronics 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kosmicwizard the upgrade on the Pettydrive V1 adds a discrete opamp to the Input and output buffer. This was not possible with the Pettydrive V2 or any of the Foundry V1. The foundry MkII can have this same upgrade.
