Oregon has such beautiful landscapes. I was not aware there was so much volcanic activity in its past, but apparently it was Very active indeed! The Sun River area used to be advertised on TV many years ago as a great place to buy some lots and build a vacation or retirement community. By the looks of it, it was fairly successful with a great airfield, golf course and the river to enjoy.
The note of Brent's Aircraft is amazing, but it might get a bit annoying if he were flying in and out over your house two three times a day lol. I was interested to see that lava flow (I think you said last erupted 7000 years ago had very little growing on it, that is just out of this world! Easy to see why the ranch was called Crooked River Ranch, nice views. Did the other two land or carry on?
hahahaha.... Not when you're flying Low n Slow over the Lava beds.... All you can do is enjoy the ride and the scenery. James is slowly getting the hang of it....
I would say I always try and have an escape route of some sort. At least try and make the outcome a little better if the engine did stop. It's not always a great option, but good to have something in mind. Normally, a road is worth something. Or keep within gliding distance to the edge of the lava bed...
Beautiful job of flying 3 beautiful vintage airplanes out in some magnificent country! You're doing well to stay away from the urban centers. Those decaying cesspools are infested with left-wing liberal progressive loons. The fine folks out in the unspoiled country though, are second to none! Good people! "Keep 'em Flying . . . FBO Life! You need to put that on a T-Shirt. :) Thanks for the continued fun adventures, James.
You're welcome, thanks for continuing to watch!
Nice job on your landing at Sunriver Airport.
Thanks!
Breakfast = coffee + doughnut + Stearman exhaust. Couldn't be better :-)

You're very welcome, thank you for leaving a note!
I love watching you fly that Ercoupe. Makes me want to join the low and slow crowd. You guys are Sky Gypsy’s.
We like that term... :)
Great scenery of your bird and the area.
Thanks for more goodness JG. The clear air and bright angled morning sunshine makes the scenery pop.
Excellent as usual!
Another good one James - - maybe a "Good" one too! Great adventure and as always much enjoyed the fascinating scenery etc.
Great way to start a Saturday!
Is it always in the back of your head while flying to have a place in mind to set her down if you had to?
