Fantastic! Go for it, it’s such an interesting shrub, I have mine planted in shade now and I look forward to it filling out! All the best with yours 🌿🌿
Ah fantastic! I’m excited about this one, the leaves were just too inviting to pass up, despite the space challenge! It has so much potential. Let me know how yours gets on! Thanks for watching.
@@Toffeenuts34 Of course, you're most welcome. This is the melianthus major. A gorgeous fast growing plant which can be evergreen in a mild winter, but will shoot back up if winter cuts it down. I talk about it at 02:49 on this video: th-cam.com/video/jwqKcnQcAds/w-d-xo.html
You’re so right. The colours in the euphorbia would tie both plants together. I’m tempted to source another one, particularly as the colour will be dependable all year round. Thanks for watching!
I've just been to b&q for a euphorbia miners and they didn't have any. I'm really after it now. Have you seen them for sale anywhere else? I love your videos
Thank you for the lovely feedback! Sorry you've not seen any in B&Q. They're around online, having done a quick google search but they are more expensive than the price I paid. Might be worth checking your local Homebase as they normally stock similar plants to B&Q. I hope you find one, I'll be looking for second!
@@neilheron3223 100% doable. I’ve seen it done well. In essence, I do that on my patio. You can still get the layers using pots: troughs with tall bamboos or grasses at the back, feature plants/trees in front, surrounded in mid-level fillers and then low lying plants/annuals/Colocasia at the front. It’s definitely possible, be creative and have fun. Being able to move pots around is a bonus. All the best with it!
Lovely garden! Trochodendron is on my wish-list - it’s a long list though! I’ve just subscribed and look forward to seeing your garden and your channel develop. (Also, I have a gardening channel too that you might like - check it out! 😉)
Thanks so much for the feedback. Yes the trochodendron is a unique shrub that deserves a spot on that wish list ☺ My list has been long for the last 3 years, I keep chopping away at it. I will check out your channel too. Enjoy the gardening season, lovely to meet you.
Thanks Tropiclaud! Trochodendron Araliodes is probably going to end up in my North Facer after this.

Be careful planting next to t rex disturbing the roots makes it send up more trunks
