A rubber grommet for that hole in the bed would be cheap insurance

I installed a switch on the dashboard that operates a 12v solenoid on the spare tank that I can activate when I require fuel in my main tank, never have to turn a cutoff valve or climb in the bed. Not a Dee Zee system but almost identical.

I bought this tank and there's one big problem with it. When it gets down to twenty gallons it will not drain out because the drain plug in the tank sits so high off of the bottom of the tank. So you'll have twenty gallons still left in it that won't drain out. Can I install a electric fuel pump system in this tank so I can get the rest of the fuel out of the bottom of the tank? Can y'all recommend a fuel pump system for my tank Thanks for the video and keep up the good work. Thumbs up on the video.

We recommend GPI pumps for our tanks that are center balanced. If they are off-set, they need an additional support bracket. You can see the GPI pumps we recommend our website and you can search online for sellers or local retailers.

@@DeeZeeMfg I really wished that I knew all that I had to do to this tank before I bought it because now I gotta buy something else for it to make it work. It was bad enough that the mounting tabs came bent closed and the fuel cap crushed when I recieved it so I had to pay a welder locally to weld me new tabs. It's really been a nightmare. Anyway I really appreciate you getting back to me with the info. Thanks and take care.

In the video, when attaching the fuel hose from the tank to the roll-over valve in the filler tube, the large hose clamps are loose and swinging, just as they were earlier in the video. Seems like an editing issue.

Gravity fed connector kits are designed for use with Dee Zee Auxiliary transfer tanks that have been tested to meet DOT regulations. The tank would have a green MET label instead of a white label near the gas cap.

What size hose is this? Is it 3/8 or 3/4?

For a 3/4 drill bit it would be 3/8 hose.

So with this setup fuel is constantly being fed to the factory tank correct? Or does it have a on/off switch to use as needed? If left running will it overflow?

The connection kit is not designed for continuous flow and should be turned off during vehicle operation.
