    People who glue the whole piece, have never had to remove base that’s been fully glued 😮

    What if you have multiple outside corners in one single run do you lay out the entire length of the wall Mark and cut the first outside corner then go and mark the next outside corner or do you suggest doing a butt joint in between?

    • @Doityourselfwithjoe
      @Doityourselfwithjoe  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Ive done it both ways. I did a practice cut when I didn't have a butt joint.

    We never heat up the base.... I'm thinking its worth the effort. Especially on that cement wall by the door frame. Because that cold wall is definitely going to want to shrink the base (I'm in Canada....shrinking base is an issue. Ha! shrinkage)

    I would assume once glued to the wall there’s no going back, right? What I mean is one cannot remove it without damaging the drywall.

      Depends on how long after the install. If it is with in a day after the install you can usually remove the base but yes, it does pull the paper off.

    How do you do the base for curved wall? Do you have a video on that?

      Rubber base on a curved wall or regular wood base on a curved wall?

    Yo I’m a base master and I would run circles around this guy doing 4 inch cove base
    I can easily do 16 boxes of roll on a regular work hour shift and how I do it is wat faster and better and I don’t use no torch 😂

    Why is every video wrong, base is so easy, he forgot the most important peice of info, so much anxiety

    • @hp2402
      @hp2402 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What’s the most important piece of info?😊

    • @slolojr1
      @slolojr1 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Are you asking about the important piece like rolling the base, making sure it seated so it doesn’t look like straight base and all wavy, making sure the outside corner floor section is still cove and not straight, properly spreading adhesive like the manufacturer recommends, how to make an inside corner so a pencil doesn’t fit in the corner. At the speed and way some videos show, you’d have to charge $3 a Iinear foot just to buy lunch

    • @AA-zq1sx
      @AA-zq1sx ปีที่แล้ว

      @@slolojr1 haven't finished the video, but at least it started on a high note since this is the only YT cove base video that doesn't show the guy cutting base holding it in his hand with a spare thumb directly in the path of razor blade under tension...

    • @slolojr1
      @slolojr1 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good luck on your video. I wasn’t trying to be critical of this guy. I appreciate all the people who actually put info out there that is helpful. Flooring just happens to be what I do and was most critical of my own work. There’s no one perfect way in my book, but only a few ways give really good or correct results. All the little details result in the larger best install. Sadly our trades are in the battle to quicker, dumber, cheaper, and good enough.
