I guess I don't understand the like sob story in this. You left the relationship, you chose all of this. For what very clearly seems like another relationship. And you can't keep a friendship to save your life. So you're all alone because of your own toxic actions. Which sucks but is your own fault 🤷‍♀️

I once heard that if you're running from your problems or things that bother you, it will definitely come back later. Only then, it'll be worst because it would have built up in the time you've ignored it.
So, please don't run from things or bury yourself in activities/work, because these things will revisit later.

I grew up in a household that didn't go to the doctors even for a cold or check ups. So as an adult I didn't go. But I hit a really rough patch that I couldn't get through. Couldn't get out of bed. Couldn't clean my house. Everything went to trash. But I was also so depressed that the piles around me were too much. But it took a long time to be able to admit that I needed help. I slept for 3 hours just about every night for 3 months. I was exhausted. I'm glad you got the help you needed.

How are you going run a daycare but not have any educational qualifications for it?! 😂 you do realize majority of daycare owners/directors were all once teachers, all have qualifications to be lead teacher incase they need to fill in. With peace and love, are you concerned with how your Beneath the Sheets podcast might deter potential clients for a daycare for very young kids? I’m not saying there’s anything wrong by any means with the subject of your podcast, but also as a mom it’s hard for me to see how someone who would choose to put themselves out there in that way would then be the right fit for being a professional in a setting for very young children. edited to add: still, good luck in whatever endeavors you decide to pursue ❤️

This is 1000% unsolicited advice, but as an educator I strongly urge you to go back to school or gain some practical experience in education before deciding to start a school of your own. One of the biggest issues in education right now is administrators not having any practical experience in teaching or educating children. I think you'd be a kickass educator, and your experience as a parent is going to help tremendously, but the education system right now is a total mess. We need leaders who have experience and know what it's actually like to be in the classroom each day working with kids of all different backgrounds and abilities. This is no shade to you at all. I think it's an incredible venture, but it requires a lot more than personal passion.

I used to become busy with things to keep my anxiety at bay. Unfortunately, this method doesn't work for very long (It lasted 5 years for me), and I've been dealing with it until recently. The way to conquer your anxiety, and this may sound crazy, it's training your mind. I think I finally hit the jackpot at figuring it out by myself, lots of research on reframing negative thoughts. Hopefully, you can get to a point where you can be calm and relaxed while not busy. A time that you can just be you and exist without the itch of crippling anxiety. ❤

One thing that I learned in therapy that I was shocked about was that being busy is a way of avoiding the emotion rather than facing it. It sounds so obvious when worded that way, but when my husband went away for military training I had this headspace of I just needed to get into a routine and be busy and then I would be okay. Through therapy I was able to realise that only worked because I was so good at avoiding my emotions. They made me uncomfortable even though I didn't realise it. My therapist helped me work through understanding the necessity in negative emotions and helping reframe my thoughts around feeling them. Such as "how lucky am I to love someone so much that I can miss them this great" and other similar reframes. Obviously NOT the same as OCD at all, but just wanted to share my experience in case anyone else reading through comments can relate.

Alot of the time adhd is the main problem creating all the other symptoms and especially in Girls its often not detected since it shows up as depression, anxiety and such. But if you are depressed its hard to diagnose adhd so now when you are feeling better is a good time to see if you might have adhd or add. Many people can get off antidepressants when they get adhd meds. But its different for everyone :)

“If you don’t agree with medicine, you havnt struggled enough” lol I felt that. It was a last resort and something I never wanted to depend on but Idk where I would be without it. I felt like I was actually going crazy. Mental illness is so scary.

You realize that there’s people with 0 access to any resources to support their well-being, right? For them it’s absolutely not an option to relieve their struggle medically. They have to resort to healing alone - and you saying that is dismissing their struggle and the validity of their healing.

@@peacefoodlove4life how is that in any way relevant to what either this poster or Kyra has said?? Kyra is talking about beliefs not access! The people you refer to may believe in medication however unfortunately they don’t have access. Not at all the same thing. Jesus, comprehension is not your strong point is it?!

I’m on the exact same medication that you are on but I’m taking 20mg, I’ve been on it for about 4 years now and it has helped me TREMENDOUSLY. Before taking it I was one of those moms that was constantly in and out of the hospital with my baby because I literally always thought something was wrong with him or he was sick and every since taking that medication it’s helped me settle and keep the thoughts of something being wrong with my son at bay!

I understand how you are hesitant to talk about mental health. Though our situations are different. I tried talking to my mom about my struggles and got the "playing victim" lecture. Also how you were thinking about not talking about the medicine. I read people saying the only option is therapy, no drugs. Drugs are treated as a bandaid you can't remove. I think this is a complicated puzzle and people need to stop thinking one size fits all. I feel like therapy didn't help me on the 6 years I saw one. Until I was 18, and after comments my mom made, yeah....

Kyra - i am sorry you're going through such a hard time. I have struggled with the exact same thing ( anxiety, depression and an eating disorder) in high school. for years I fought and it was the most difficult time in life. I went on an antidepressant and have been on it ever since. But now in a great place and no problem with eating. the medication definitely helped and took the edge off. there is light at the end of the tunnel. you will get through this rough patch. I am proud of you getting help by a doctor. you are for sure not alone and i can totally relate and sympathizes with you. i hope you have more of a support system. I will be praying for you and you are in my thoughts. thank you very much for sharing and i know you are helping others by doing so. you're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and loved more than you will ever know. I love you and love watching your videos. you got this! lots of love to you!

I know you probably won't ever read this but if meds help that is awesome but make sure you keep taking them because it does effects your brain chemistry. And I feel you have trauma that need to be addressed with a counselor, no one has that much anxiety and depression without some type of trauma in there life. And have you ever had your hormones checked at a clinic for that because being imbalanced can have a major effect on the way you feel. Deficient in vitamin D, and B12 look into it.

I hope one day you will realise how much God loves you. We didn't just happen... God created us and given us a way to get close to Him. You are never alone. God hears our prayers and knows what's in our hearts and mind. It's not about being religious it's about having a personal relationship with Jesus. No need to sign up to a church. Just call upon him. Ask for God to reveal himself in your life and you will know if he really does exist.

You are definitely flourishing and you’re still so young it will get better. Those babies also miss you more than you know so you’re not alone. Keep going and I hope you get your dream job sooner than you think!

Tried for years with therapist and psychiatrist and still struggled, until finally I found a good group therapy that worked wonders and we had classes that taught us awesome coping tools and I gained a stronger relationship with Jesus which did wonders for giving me peace and joy, my husband struggled also because of the wrong meds, but he is on a good combination of two meds that has been working for years now......I will pray for you Kyra because I know all too well the dark place we can get to as a human.
