This was the first film I was allowed to go to the movie theatre alone in my childhood - like 8 - 9 years old. My mother was reluctant initially but when I mentioned the title she said that I MUST see this movie imediatelly...So I called my friend Teddy, and we decided to go toghether. I wait for him patiently ( he was in hebrew school in my city sinagogue) and then we crossed the street to the movie theatre. We saw the movie, in total amazement, then we wandered the streets and discussed it over and over. One of most vivid memories of my childhood.
I have seen this movie The Guns of Navarone so many times that I have lost count. Its one of the Best Movies of the 20th Century. A Story of Human Courage, Ingenuity and Perseverance against All Odds No Matter What the Challenges lay ahead. Great Story, Outstanding Actors and Actresses, Very Inspiring Music and Brings Out The Human Spirit of Tenacity against All Odds.
Film sorti en 1961. Dimitri Tiomkin a obtenu le Golden Globe en 1962 pour la meilleure musique de film. Excellente interprétation du City Of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra dirigé par Nic Raine qui nous gratifient régulièrement d'intégralités d’œuvres symphoniques empruntées aux grands classiques du cinéma.
