Your older children are wonderful. My 6 year old grandson is severely autistic and his 10 year old sister is so tolerant and kind. Thank goodness for siblings. You should feel proud, your children are lovely because you are.
Thank you for sharing your experiences and family. Simon is a very observant little boy. I would have not suspected he was on the spectrum. Your old children are very attentive to the younger boys. It seems to come to them so naturally. You/husband are awesome parents. I admire your organic and calming style of parenting. Please keep making these videos for they are so helpful! God Bless you/family.🙏🏼
I have autism too, and I also have to use a walker now because of my balance problems, and certain noises hurts my ears, and I love to make friends with people who have autism like me!!!!!
That is some peaceful music in the background. But honestly Simon looks like he is comfortable in the Carrier. I'd probably be too if I was my age. My mom stopped picking me up when I was eight years old because I was getting too big 😂
I know how upset Simon must’ve felt when had to hike when all he just wanted to watch his movie in the car. I know how he feels. I’m happy he felt better after a long hike.
I love your guys videos. I have level 1 autism and your channel is just really positive. Does Ezra or Simon do any therapy’s? I know you guys do a lot of outdoor things which is pretty much therapy. Can you do a video on what can help when an autistic person is sick? That seems like some of the hardest moments for me.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Ezra and Simon have Occupational and Speech therapy. Those have both helped a lot. And thank you for your ideas for additional videos.
We will put that on our list! This is the closest thing that we have made to that now on another channel that we have... th-cam.com/video/qnueoqLTIek/w-d-xo.html
It must be very hard sometimes going somewhere and then trying to deal with a meltdown do very well. I have autism from my kind of feel bad when I have a meltdown and when my parents get embarrassed about it in public
Well, there are definitely a lot of challenges that come with autism, there are also a lot of blessings. Ezra is by far our happiest child, and isn’t that what everybody really wants?❤
Hi,just wondering how old is simon?I have a son which has exactly same trait as of Simon and he is turning 2 next month still waiting for his psych eval.
He just turned three, but at the time of this movie he was just over two by a little bit. Hoping the best for your little guy. ❤️ keep us posted. Not sure if you saw Simon's video about his evaluation…
Have you tried getting Simon ‘ramen noodlies’ they’re are a colorful fidget toy that looks like ramen and I feel like he’d like it since he loves hair!
I was also interested in birds when I was younger. There’s a whistle that I remember playing with that you fill with water and blow into and then it sounds like a bird chirping. I could play with it for hours if my parents let me.
@@7Aheadfamily I’m not sure. It was a small bird, maybe a finch or a sparrow. I remember that the whistles were small, made of plastic, usually blue or green, and they were shaped like a bird. At the moment I only remember a small number of bird calls (Mourning Dove, Chickadee, Crow, Owl,Parrot, Parakeet, Love Bird) and it wasn’t any of those.
Thank you so much for sharing, and watching our videos! I hope you can go to some of the national parks as well soon! If you need help, deciding which national park to go to, here’s where we rank them all…
I think i know what triggered simons meltdown. The fact that you walked past the car he may have thought that you were going home which made him confused. 💕
I have two lilttle brothers who both have autism(one of them have autism and ADHD)there names are Ryder and ryan and Ryder is 6 and non verbal and Ryan is verbal Ryder has level 3 autism while Ryan just has level one autism but meltdowns are the hardest to handle do you know how to calm kids down??
Thank you so much for sharing and for caring so much for your little brothers with autism. ❤️ here are a few of our videos we have done in that regard. We will do more in the future as well. ❤️ The main thing is figuring out how to redirect Them for the most part. Last night Simmons was having a meltdown about bedtime, and we tried many things, but for some reason when I mentioned reading a book that took his mind off the tantrum and he actually calm down a little bit which was great. 😊
My twins when they have meltdowns they step-up to me 😮 it hurts I have to tell them 2 different ways how that’s how it works and it just hurts it’s confusing, ❤I love them too much people Tell me give them a little bump, no way,,,,,,, ❤too much love too much I’m trying my best to get out of city like and move abut away from the big city 🏙️
If my friend distracted me while he clams me down he will probably be like okay Theo give me her toy he will probably be like her take this he will probably be like oh she is so happy now
We found a safe In the house that I bought in August and there's a safe inside of it the closet I just found it. I want to open it. If you're designing it i'm gonna get my kids the best help they can get
Older kids are great care takers for Ezra and Simon. Psychologist labeled our daughter level 1 as well. What I hear from experts who are posting videos on TH-cam that mild autism or level 1 will be identified only when they get to kindergarten. When kids are evaluated early showing delays around 2 should be labeled moderate to severe. I am confused.
Autistic temper tantrums, also known as meltdowns, can be difficult to manage. Here are some strategies you can try: Stay calm Your child can sense your frustration, so try to remain calm and model the behavior you want them to exhibit. Keep your voice and face neutral, and use slow, calm speech. Create a safe space If possible, guide your child to a safe place, like a corner or the car. Give them space and keep others away, but try to hold them if they might hurt themselves. Reduce triggers Try to remove potential triggers and make the environment quieter by turning down the lights or using noise-cancelling headphones. Use calming strategies Offer your child calming devices like fidget toys, weighted vests, or a favorite stuffed animal. You can also try having them listen to music, drink a cold beverage, or try deep breathing. Don't reason with them Children having a meltdown can't be reasoned with, so don't rely on logic. Instead, you can try teaching them breathing exercises, meditation, or counting. You can also try reassuring them with a simple phrase that provides structure and helps them understand what's expected.
I’m about ninety percent sure that Marie is probably neurotypical. However, there’s a slight chance that she could be on the spectrum and doing a good job of masking. Seeing her almost go off a cliff in this video makes me wonder if she might be on the spectrum because I don’t see any sense of danger in that scene. Also, is she the one who made a joke about jumping off of something in the same video where Ezra was saved by his toddler leash when he almost walked into traffic? I couldn’t quite tell definitively who made that joke but I know that it was not Ezra and it was not Simon. On the off chance that she does happen to be on the autism spectrum she might also have depression. You may not know if she does or not until she becomes a teenager but you might want to read up on the signs of it just to be on the safe side. You may start by reading about depression on the Web MD and Mayo Clinic web sites. Marie usually looks happy but people with depression don’t always look depressed. I hope I am wrong about this but it’s a good idea to keep an eye out for it. If it is there it will probably get worse during the teenage years with all of the changes that happen during that time. I know that autism does not have a look and from what I have read (in online articles, for example) just as some people can mask autism up to a point, some people can mask depression up to a point. I will attempt to make my next post about something more positive.

It was scary. We didn't stay long up there. I was glad we had Ezra on his toddler leash. It really was a beautiful day and view, I just wish we hadn't been bitten to death by so many mosquitoes. I had to edit out quite a bit of video cause the bugs kept running into the camera and you couldn't see anything!
I've been yelling at my kids lately and grand son they just don't like e right now the cookout had been canceled my friend is bring a friend to talk with them and maybe get Ivan to a mental health hospital overnight
Saying this as an autistic person- NEVER post your child's autistic meltdowns. Absolutely humiliating. Really disappointed to see this kind of content on your channel. Just because we might communicate differently doesn't mean we don't understand something :( And being autistic doesn't mean we automatically feel OK with having our most vulnerable moments shared with the world by our loved ones. Please, when one of your children is having a meltdown, don't record them at all. edit: wanted to add, you can still talk about meltdowns, obviously. but footage like this is extremely violating.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts and for watching our videos. I truly appreciate your perspective as an autistic person and your willingness to voice these concerns-it means a lot to me. Our goal has always been to share our journey in a way that helps others feel less alone and works toward normalizing life with autistic children. I can assure you that we’re not doing this for money or views; the time and energy we put into creating these videos are about serving and connecting with others. While we aim to keep things real, we also work hard to focus on the positive and joyful sides of our life. My hope is that by sharing our family’s experiences, we can help reduce stigma and build understanding for others navigating similar challenges. But I also know that this journey is about learning, growing, and improving. ❤️
Well, there are definitely a lot of challenges that come with autism, there are also a lot of blessings. Ezra is by far our happiest child, and isn’t that what everybody really wants?
I am also on the autism spectrum. I’m currently level one but I was level two when I was younger. I did not go to a special school but for more than half of my formal education I was in special education classes in a regular school. After making the transition to regular classes (which members of the school staff were extremely opposed to) when I was in about seventh grade I started to make more progress intellectually and even occasionally made the Honor Roll in High School and College. I eventually graduated with an English degree. After deciding that a career in English is not for me (It’s a long story.) I decided to study IT (Information Technology) in more detail. I am currently studying computer networking and I hope to begin designing computer networks within the next year. In connection with this I am currently studying for a couple of exams in this area. Time will tell what happens from here.

How can we Handle Temper Tantrums?
Great question!❤
Autistic temper tantrums, also known as meltdowns, can be difficult to manage. Here are some strategies you can try:

Use calming strategies
Offer your child calming devices like fidget toys, weighted vests, or a favorite stuffed animal. You can also try having them listen to music, drink a cold beverage, or try deep breathing.
Don't reason with them
Children having a meltdown can't be reasoned with, so don't rely on logic. Instead, you can try teaching them breathing exercises, meditation, or counting. You can also try reassuring them with a simple phrase that provides structure and helps them understand what's expected.
Hope this helps💜
you can start by understanding it's not a temper tantrum. autistic meltdowns are physically painful and overwhelming.
It isn't easy being a parent at all
