This tv show couldn't have ended that way, and Sebastian's performance made me ripple between love and hatred for his character, I love that kind of acting.
Gahhh,This vid leaves me wishing the show could have been allowed to continue. Even knowing how Jack's (Jonathan) story ends. That and wow did all the bible studies I attended skip over David and Jonathan's profound friendship (at least). I would have loved to see this interpretation play out.
I would have hoped that Jack in the show would realize that David was God's chosen to lead as in the bible and he would have been his soldier and dearest friend. Supposedly David wrote that no one ever loved him like Jonathan did, not even a woman. Theirs was a pure and sacrificial love. As comrades. Jonathan died with his father Saul and brothers at the battle of Gilboa and David became king after.
This show has been on my backlog for far too long. I'm curious as to what prompted the vid now (which was amazing as usual)? I'm going to have to move Kings up on my watch list since it only aired for one season. Thank you!
