    Thank you! The last bag I made drove me nuts with no instructions on the placket. Your explanation and demo is easy to follow!

    This is so fantastic! I'm not a fan of pulling the pocket through the front so this is definitely the video I needed!

    Thanks for this video! I was looking for a way to leave an opening on a sewing machine cover for the handle. I did not want to line the cover, this solves the problem!

    Thank you so much for the video Christine, your work is so neat, this technique is so helpful, I’ve always struggled to make the perfect pocket, Your method is the best I’ve ever seen, and it’s so easy. I’m so glad that I found your channel, hope you’ll make more videos in the future, I’m a visual learner, making bags by watching videos is much easier for me.

    I loved this! It is wonderful that you were able to show such closeups. I am such a newbie at this that I have never even heard of a self-threading needle, lol! Been tracking these videos all week on youtube, trying to find the right one. Yours is so perfect, I think I am ready to try this ❤️

      For a #3 zipper I do 1/4” for a #5 I do 3/8”,,, I’m sewing on a juki98tlp

    How do you do this if you are using foam interfacing?

    • @BagsbyBagsofStyle
      @BagsbyBagsofStyle  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      i would do the overlay and pocket first then add the foam stabiliser afterwards,,,,either cutting a hole in the foam to accommodate the pocket lining or leaving the pocket linings between the exterior and the foam....depending on what bag I'm making

      @@BagsbyBagsofStyle You helped me fix a persistent problem in my bags with this method! I was consistently ending up with a wavy zipper on the external zipper pocket. Not wavy side to side like it slipped out of place, but wavy the other way, up and down. It was very strange. (I was using the method from the Lola bag from Swoon.) Phew! I’m finally looking at a nice tight zipper, SO relieved. 😅 Thanks a bunch! 🌸

    What size thread did you use for your work

    • @BagsbyBagsofStyle
      @BagsbyBagsofStyle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m in the uk, I use a standard all purpose polyester sewing thread. If I want a more defined stitch I double the threads through my machine
