  • Dad is a multiple world record grower of organic tomatoes and eggplant. Watch as he explains how to grow peppers the right way! Successfully growing peppers is very simple if you follow the steps explained in this episode. This video is packed with valuable organic gardening knowledge and secrets! Unlock the power of organic soil biology! Make the your soil the best it can be by focusing on feeding the soil microbial biology, instead of feeding your plants. The reason this works best is because the soil microbes themselves are what actually feeds your plant's root system through mycorrhizal symbiosis!

      I've tried using biochar in the past and honestly I couldn't tell any difference in my results so I discontinued using, I wouldn't be surprised if it is helpful in poorer soils but mine certainly isn't poor, I have very biologically active soil and that's probably why I didn't notice any benefit. • @GardeningHomesteadingWoodwork
      @GardeningHomesteadingWoodwork  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I've never done a soil test and I've grown more world record tomatoes and eggplant than anyone else has ever grown so I think that is proof of what I'm doing,I've learned in the 50+ yrs of growing how to read the plants health and adjust the amendments accordingly, I'm not trying to brag I'm just stating the facts. You certainly don't have to do what I'm doing and you can certainly grow nice tomatoes another way but I like to grow nutrient dense food knowing that it has all the minerals to keep us well,if your soil doesn't have all the minerals in it neither will your produce! It may seem like a lot of amendments but remember most of it is compost. Have a blessed day!

    If you tally up all the amendments on your list in the description it’s way over $500
    Maybe your idea of not expensive is $500 but for someone with not much of a budget that is a lot.

      That's why we are starting up an online store to sell amendments. We aim to provide better amendments at cheaper prices and in the quantity you need. Of course you can put less quantity on your beds than what we show and still get better results than nothing, that's for sure!

    • @GardeningHomesteadingWoodwork
      @GardeningHomesteadingWoodwork  16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Not sure how you came up with 500.00 for amendments, but I'll assure you that isn't correct! Most of what is put on is compost which cost 2.25 per cubic foot,the rest of the amendments cost about 5.00 so 7.25 to amend 120 square ft I believe is very reasonable.
