I did not like Fiido D11 at first too... though it's my favorite bike now. :) Basically, you are paying premium for design and build quality. Way better built than the cheap rattling D4s. And everyone picks D11 design over Z20 and especially D4s. It's possible to increase D11 speed up to 30km/h simply by hacking the limit.. and I'm planning to put more powerful controller next season too. It's very easy to connect additional batteries with the battery cable too. I've got one of the first review units with the flaw in the seat tube, received a replacement seat and have two batteries now. :)
I too have the issue with the seat post joint gap. They are sending me a new one, Has the replacement battery post been ok, can you see any visible difference?
It is not possible to unlock Fiido D11 to 30km/h on fully electric mode. No chance, there are many discussion and topics on that. I think someone managed to get 27km/h, but that's the absolute max. for this ebike.
Agreed, i own a D4S paid less money still upgraded mine with spring seatpost (best investment!), Fido mudgards, remote mainswitch (to disable Fido display) , auto rearlight.
Great review sir, made decision making for most people easier. D11 looks the best and clean with the cables going into the frame. But for that amount of money the lack of suspension is a real downer. Makes the M1 look like a better buy for those willing to save their butts from bumps. And the more affordable D4s too is almost nearly spec to spec with the D11.

@@kiskis0611 depends on the tire pressure as well. In general - Fiido use the cheapest suspensions in the market, which are not very effective, especially for off-road conditions. Meanwhile, if you use only on good city roads - there is not much need for suspension system at all. Well, at least in my opinion.

Hi. Actually I have sold my Fiido D11 bike, but as I was testing and riding - there was no issue with the battery itself. I am also around 85kg. It's pretty solid and sturdy from what I have observed. It should not have any impacts due to bumpy roads or what so ever.
Have you tested it yourself to prove it? Just saying, cause P2 is setting for wheel size, so of course on display it will show higher speed, but I haven't seen any video showing real TEST with GPS from mobile. I might try it as well, will let you know later. Cheers ;)

The rated power is the same, but the motor hub size itself is different, meaning it can be capable of more. So in this case Fiido D4s with unlocked speed can reach up 35km/h, meanwhile the max for D11 is 28km/h. Otherwise... Aplease record video how you ride 38km/h and upload to TH-cam.
Nice review! I just subscribed! :) I've been having trouble picking my first bike, my choices are Fiido D4S, D11, and Himo Z20. I'll mainly use it to go to work and also for morning light exercise rides. Although D11 is my top choice as of the moment, I'm still having doubts if the saddle with the battery thing will last long. Do you still prefer D4S if Fiido D11's price is 785 USD with free fenders? That's the cash price here in the Philippines.

More power, better max speed, almost the same weight and size (just +1kg more), not removable battery (no need to worry, if somebody gonna steal it). Of course, 785 USD for Fiido D11 + fenders is not that bad, because in Europe at the moment it's 1000$, so totally different story... At the end of the day - I would still pick D4s for myself. How much D4s costs in Philippines? :)

Lot of problems with the seat clamp failing , check the forums , because this is where the battery wire goes it’s a serious problem as for the Xtec brakes their great for about a year then the seals go and their not repairable
I got 1 question : What is the maximum range (without pedalling) for D4s, D11 and M1 Pro ? Thinking to buy M1 Pro but the problem is : weight, dimensions, and i think I don't need those fat tires, but suspension is very good idea. Hi. If you want a best option which is more lightweight and compact - pick D4s. Suspensions on M1 / M1 Pro are poor to be honest. They do just a little of job, but its very basic level. The problem is that Fiido has a focus on producing budget ebike models so they can't put better quality parts like suspension, brakes, etc.
BIke arrived and worked for 10 mins before the motor packed up ! Not a lot of support from Geek Buying - they sent a new motor with NO instructions on how to instal it which we are still struggling with - I would not buy a FIIDO bike .
Indeed my experience! One difference: I already built in the 2nd new engine… so it runs after 8Month its 3rd engine! The clutch system of the battery post is demaged because you have to tighten it to fix the seatpost in position. Did I mentioned that the 3rd engine immediately switched off after 5km of riding? It looks good, but too cheap! Don‘t buy an D11… my honest experience after 8Month.👎🏼

Well, you should have reason to ride 90km per day (like food delivery or smth like that). For most of people they would be good enough with stock range capabilities. In worst case you can still pedal a bit :))
Fiido's pedal assist is the worst I've ever seen! It's not pedal assist actually, it just detects that you are pedaling (after quite some time actually because it's very slow) and it just gives full power!! no matter what assist gear/mode you 're on.. assist gears/modes only define different cut-off speeds for the motor so it stops when you reach that speed.. just awful!
Pedal assistance kicks in within 1-2 seconds after it detects your pedaling, so not sure if its slow and what do you compare to. And yes, 3 modes are based on speed limits (cut-off if it reaches that speed). But honestly, I dont see anything wrong about it. Usually you choose the speed you want and based on that you will get more/less assistance. Also you have gears for more/less resistance so just play with modes + gears and you can find a sweet spot. Well this applies for me personally and I guess you need different type solution for that. P.S. I think this only the first complain I hear regarding assistance mode on Fiido bikes ^^
@@NiuxTechAfter riding quite a few ebikes with "power mode" controllers (which is actually the standard for PAS) where the motor gives the torque based on what assist level you're on(and not full power on every mode with speed limit like Fiido), I can definitely feel how much worse Fiido's controllers are! And I don't believe there could be anyone who has tried both and prefers the "speed mode" function of Fiido! And pedaling detection is wayyy slower on the Fiidos, totally impossible to start uphill without using the throttle!

A basic "power mode" controller with a generic display and PAS sensors cost about 80-100$ and it has 5 assist levels that control power output of the motor. It's really very standard and cheap stuff! I have no idea why Fiido chose to use this awful controllers, it didn't even cross my mind that they could have this kind of assist system before buying my M1 pro and you can imagine how frustrated I am right now! Now I have to change controller/screen and PAS sensors myself..!!

I owned a Fiido M1 Pro. Love power come from a 500w motor and double suspension.

Its a speed alarm.. some countries have a speed limit for ebike.. and disconnecting that wire did work for mine..

Max speed can be unlocked with same way d4s. But when error pops up. Shut down and open. And the speed goes 38km/h
Even D4s can't go 38km/h... And Fiido D4s has 2x bigger motor, lol.

Maximum range is also very subjective, but you should expect around 30-35km range on full electric mode.
