  • I’m on a mission to declutter my “stuff” a section at a time. Buried in abundance and so over it! This is the continuation of decluttering my teacher stuff and my garage. Looking forward to retirement after my next school year. Enjoy my journey!

My husband and I were both teachers and retired together. There was too much school drama. I never realized how tired we were physically and mentally. Now 3 years later, we are getting rid of our "school stuff" by donating it to a school away from here (newbies didn't want it), and we are growing veggies and trying new recipes. We are also looking at travel trailers, selling our home to travel for a while. Enjoy your last year!

Retired teacher here. What age, subject do you teach? I had quite a stash when I retired. I think teachers tend to create and use a lot of stuff.

Hi there, I teach (English Language Learners) K through 5th so you can imagine how many resources I have created for the different grade levels, languages, and multiple schools. Yes, I agree with you, we have an abundance of stuff. I can't believe how much of it I have accumulated over the years. I had a garage sale last summer and one in the Spring of this year to get a head start on this never ending clutter!

@@gatoregidge I have a lot of respect for you. There are so many kiddos and soooo many levels of learning they could be at.

Love your content. What does your TH-cam channel mean??

Thank you so much for your kind words! My channel is just about the adventures in my life and being real. I came up with this name several years ago when I started selling plush on eBay, but life got too busy and I stopped selling. I came up with the name because several of the creative names I came up with were already taken. I combined a plush gator and instead of gadget I invented the word gidge. I put them together with an "e" to create gatoregidge. When I decided to try creating video content I decided to use the word as it was so unique. I like the way it roles off of my tongue. Also, my husband is originally from Florida and he has great childhood stories about gators. Those were my inspirations for the word Gatoregidge. Finally, I am a child at heart as I work with kids all of the time and they teach me so much. They remind me to appreciate the little things in life! Especially nature and everything that is free such as birds chirping, mountains, sky, rain, creatures great and small etc... I am realizing that I do not have to own everything I like and I am slowly working my way to letting go of the "stuff" I no longer use or need.

That is a very creative name. I know you are a teacher. Noble career, and I bet the kiddos loved you. Did I hear you say you were retired or retiring soon?? Thank you for your adventures 😊 😘
