Nice review, Craig and Ryno! The team has been ON IT in regards to talking about a restaurant on a different episode, saying “we should probably do a review” and then jumping on doing it! Be Our Guest, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and now Cowfish! It’s awesome. Thanks so much, guys!
You need to review more city walk restaurants. Glad you did this one. I ate at Boathouse, food is always excellent and service outstanding. I know it’s Disney Springs.
We were at Cowfish on our Universal trip around 3 weeks ago. When you said “meh” in the beginning…that was exactly how we left feeling. Our server was exceptional; however, our food was nothing over spectacular. Maybe we will give it a go again on our next trip. Big Fire and Mythos however were our favorite! Big Fire we ate mid week and ended up cancelling our Friday reservations at Hard Rock and went back to Big Fire for a light dinner (drinks, app and dessert). That bourbon cheese fondue is so good!! We also asked to sub the peppers with more bread.
Out of all the places we ate Cow Fish was by far the biggest disappointment- we were a party of 8 and not 1 person thought it was anything special. Better and cheaper sushi at the local place. We went to the Boat House and that was amazing.
My first experience with Cowfish was back in 2015 - decided to give it a try just based on the creative concept, and everyone in my family loved it. So now we try to get there each time we make a WDW trip, (every couple years). It’s good every time!
Our first visit was May '22. Our food took FOR EV ER. From seating to departure was almost 2.5 hours. Food was good but not worth the wait. We tried again last month and were pleasantly surprised! Quick service and the food was incredible.
I've always been curious about The Cowfish. We actually used to have one at Perimeter Mall here in Atlanta some years ago, but it closed. It's now a P.F. Chang's. LOL I should check it out next time I'm at Universal!
I think they definitely tried to expand too fast but this one seems to have found it’s footing and should be a staple of CityWalk unless a similar restaurant moves in.
I like this restaurant because the food is unusual but good. I remember having some kind of steak tartare for the first time in my whole life and woah! It was amazing. I cannot believe an uncooked steak could taste good and I now understand foodies who rant and rave about beef or steak tartare. I wish The Cowfish would open up a restaurant in Texas. It would draw a decent crowd on weekends and Friday nights.
The menu is so "hit or miss." There are bad things but there are also hidden gems. I once had a steak tartar style sushi shiskebab and it was very good. It made me wish this restaurant had locations out west.
Worst place we tried on city walk. Staff forgot about us, then brought us the wrong order. Didn’t complain as I am not like that, but the food wasn’t good either.
Thanks for this review... I was there in November....the restaurant was not busy it took ages to get my meal.... Service was very slow... In my opinion food not worth the money and would not go back again
See that's what our typical experience was. No matter if it was busy or dead the food took long and wasn't exactly wonderful. This definitely wasn't that.
This was one of the restaurants I was excited about when we went to Universal for the first time....sadly it fell really short....not impressed and was one of the worst meals we had.
Pete might not want to pay for this, but I read a New York Times review of a famous New York Steakhouse (that the reviewer infamously gave 0 stars to) and he clearly went over and over and over again, before writing the review. It would interesting to several of you go and each give it a numeric review (as Pete sometimes does) and average the numbers. If four of you could go and get two aps and 4 burgers etc you could all try each other’s, maybe with a couple of desserts. Also, please don’t forget to ask Pete about a 7 in 7 for the 7 Universal hotels. Imagine how much new Universal business that could draw in for Dream Travel, especially if you reviewed 1-2 restaurants in each hotel. (PS Thoughts on DeSantis threatening to put tolls on roads leading to Disney World, and tax Disney Hotels (which presumably would apply to all Florida hotels)? He really is a b*tch.
Pete likes numbers but the rest of us don’t care for them. It’s all made up and one person might base the numbers on their enjoyment while others base it on the quality. Like with movies. Citizen Kane is a 5 star movie in how it was made but if you don’t like it then you may give it a 1 or 2. Unless everyone chooses the same method, it will never truly work and keeping to the same methodology never works. We aren’t doing 7 in 7’s for Universal. They aren’t thorough and because of the size of the hotels most require more than 19 hours. We are doing reviews as I’ve stated before and if Pete wants to be involved then he will be as it’s his business.

You guys always have the most entertaining and informative food reviews so THANK YOU!

Bigfire is the best restaurant in CityWalk by a mile.
We liked Bigfire as well....Cowfish was bad

Same here! Love this place as well as Toothsomes every time we’re in Orlando

You should do all the restaurants at City Walk and then rank them
Great job as always guys ! Hope Kylie can do more shows too she's great too ! Good to see her that show awhile back !
Great review!! Would love to see you guys review Antojitos or Finnegan’s!
Thank you so much for doing this review guys!! It’s really helped my trip planning
I actually enjoy going here, I live in Charlotte near one of its sister restaurants and I go there when I crave sushi.
Love the other burgushi with the bacon, the crab Rangoon dip is the bomb
Cowfish is the best. They introduced me to sushi, which was phenomenal. But those burgers are legendary!

This is like having a picnic on the expressway, sometimes an extra 10 min wait can payoff. The food made up for it,which isn’t the norm lately.
My punny brain heard "I would feel terrible if I STEERed us completely wrong."
I wanna know where Craig gets all of his dope shirts. But also this is def on my radar now!
RSVLTS.com!

We loved Cowfish. Georgia roll was amazing.

So enjoyable! Thanks guys!
I would love for you to review Bob Marley’s. I love the food and entertainment nightly at 7pm. Thanks for this review.
Great review as always
Do you guys prefer citi walk or disney springs?
We ate at the Cowfish, we loved it
Had to lean forward to see the fish on the appetiser. So thin! If you're hot one simple tip is to take your cap off when you're indoors!
Next time we will zoom in 200 percent to see the fish lol
It's haa·luh·pay·nyow.
❤

Ponzu sauce should not be sweet. FYI.

I'm sure it's just an effect of the lens, but those kids look like they're walking WAY too close to your table. I'm cringing, lol!
Agree. It would have put me on edge sitting there!
Atmosphere looks bad. Is that a fast food restaurant?
Way too loud!
I think the name of the restaurant is derogatory and needs to be changed in 2023. How dare you fat shame an overweight haddock
Fishcow it is.
