yangyang (the one in the drift car) actually lived and studied in Germany for a while and growing up his childhood dream was to be a race car driver. I’m pretty sure racing go karts and stuff was one of his hobbies before he became an idol
Pls react more WayV and TEN’s solo songs (they are all in English)😊 Actually the story of the MV are quite connected with other songs and other groups in SM 😂 it’s the theory of “Kwangya” similar Marvel theme each group has their own stories and can be collaboration~ WayV is quite special they come from “Cosmo” not Kwangya they all have own skills (TEN who wears yellow jacket) he was introduced as Stanger in this MV. It’s connected with the song as MOON WALK of WayV (Ten was on the spaceship and dropped in Cosmo so originally he is not original Cosmo tribe maybe become he is only one who is THAI🇹🇭 in this group others are 🇨🇳 ) also “Turn Back Time” also mentioned about the story of their skills as well. They are kind of Time Travelers, they like to talk about time and cock symbol or count down 54321 in their MV~ you have to watch more WayV songs and enjoy to interpret their stories, there are so many theories really lol😂

Dance is actually one of the strengths of WayV. Take off video is great but seeing the dance practice to it is much better if you want to see their real skills stripped off of the fancy production. Take off had the best choreo, and TEN, their main dancer, took that choreo to the next level. Personally i prefer rewatching their dance practices to their mvs. You should check out their performance video to Action Figure. One of their best.
I hear you. I personally prefer live performances. I’m a drummer so I love seeing how bands perform and sound live in concert. I don’t care about the studio production sounds. I want to hear and see their raw talent live on stage. And, even the dance is nice to see live as well.
@@TripTipsPodcast I have to tell you though that performance video is not the same as live vocal performance. In kpop, performance video is a sort of an mv with less production and storyline focusing instead on the performance of the full choreography of a song. As far as total live performance is concerned you will get it through fancams of their fanmeetings or concerts. The music labels don't usually release those and sometimes even have the fancams removed due to copyright. Kpop groups do sing live on top of backing track in music shows but sometimes also do lipsync. I guess it depends on which music show they are in or how physically demanding their choreos are.
Technically WayV -- the Mandarin Chinese sub-unit of NCT -- debuted in January 2019 with the Mandarin version of "Regular." (The Korean and English versions of "Regular" were originally released by NCT-127.) But "Take Off," which came out in April 2019, is considered WayV's official debut song because it was their first release that was all theirs. Currently, there are 6 members in WayV. However, in this MV there are 7 members: Ten is also a member of NCT-U and SuperM; Lucas, is a former member of NCT-U/WayV and is also part of SuperM; Winwin is also a member of NCT-U and NCT-127; Kun -- the leader of WayV -- originally debuted as part of NCT-2018; and Yanyang, Xiaojun and Hendrey debuted specifically as members of WayV at the beginning of 2019 when WayV was formed. Because WayV -- which stands for We Are Your Vision in English -- or Weishen V in Chinese -- which means "gods of vision" -- is a sub-unit of NCT, NCT's whole dream concept is also part of WayV's storyline and concept. As with everything NCT does, it all has to do with dreams, dreaming or being in a dream state, etc. Some fans who are into SM group theories have also speculated that NCT's storyline also connects to EXO's and SuperM's storyline. Almost everything from SM Entertainment is connected to SM's Culture Universe, which is all part of a giant drama or movie. It's just another chapter in the story. Since the creation of SuperM, where they are now taking members from each of SM's most popular boy groups -- Baekhyun and Kai from EXO, Taemin from SHINee, Taeyong and Mark from NCT, Ten from WayV and Lucas, former member of WayV -- and creating an Avengers supergroup, I think that was SM's first indication that from now on we need to pay attention, because all of its groups' MVs are somehow connected. If the SuperM Avengers are coming together to help EXO stop the evil Red Force from EXO's storyline, I think the members who are part of SuperM are the liaisons who are helping to connect all the groups together. For example, right after SuperM released their debut "Jopping" MV, WayV came out with with their "Moonwalk" MV, and I think "Moonwalk" is pretty much a continuation of "Jopping's" storyline, and now I think WayV's "Turn Back Time" and "Kick Back" are also part of that story. With NCT's dream concept, they could very easily connect to EXO's other world and other dimension theories. One thing that I find interesting about WayV's "Take Off" MV, is that if you watch "Take Off" with an eye for looking for connections and theories, an argument could be made that the storyline in "Take Off" may have been designed to connect WayV -- and more specifically, Ten and Lucas -- to "SuperM's storyline. "Take Off" came out even before we knew that SM was even considering creating SuperM. But with all that I know about how SM spends years working on creating stories and connecting storylines between MVs and between its groups, it wouldn't surprise me if SM may have been planning ways to draw connections between WayV and SuperM even when the concept for "Take Off" was created. If you notice, there are several "superhero-like" elements in the "Take Off" MV that are similar to SuperM's and EXO's storyline and they could potentially be connected. Not only, because "Take Off" was WayV's debut song, do the lyrics talk about being ready to take off, as in they are ready to be launched onto the scene and become superstars. But I think it is also supposed to be interpreted like they are ready to launch into orbit and join in the fight to help EXO battle the Red Force. For instance, we see Xiaojun suspended in the air with wings a lot like Lucas in WayV's "Turn Back Time" MV and SuperM's "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV. And we also see a lot of WayV's storyline has an otherworldly, futuristic and digital theme, which could now be connected to aespa's storyline. aespa is NCT's sister group, so that usually means there are similarities between the groups and, when it comes to SM, it also means that their storylines are probably connected. I also think the drones you see in "Take Off" are connected to the drones we see in a lot of SM's other group MVs, such as SuperM's "Jopping" and "One (Monster & Infinity)" MVs and EXO Kai's solo debut "Mmmh" MV and his "Film: Kai" teaser video, and even WayV's "Moonwalk" MV, etc. It's all part of SM's SM Culture Universe storyline. "Take Off" is also another part of NCT's dream concept, so what you are seeing in the MV could also be interpreted as different things to do with dreams and dreaming. Real things like the dream of wealth, the dream of fame, the dream of the perfect body (LOL), as well as things that only happen when you are literally dreaming, such as the wings and Ten's glowing eyes, etc. As you may know, the only reason why WayV doesn't have NCT in their name like the other NCT sub-units is because at the time of their debut there was a lot of political issues between Korea and China, and because of that Korean companies were not able to work in China. NCT's Chinese sub-unit has been going to debut for years, but with all the political issues it took SM a long time to find a way to work around all the rules the Chinese government put in place to prevent its native Chinese citizens from working with anyone associated with Korea and preventing anyone who was working with a Korean company from working in China. So in order to circumvent some of China's restrictions, SM found/created a Chinese company that was willing to take on NCT's Chinese sub-unit, but also allow SM to have a say in the group's concept and promotion activities. Part of how they get around the rules is they gave the group a name that distances them from their Korean roots. (That is also why WayV's Chinese fans are called WayZenNi instead of NCTzens and why WayV has their own lightstick design that is different than NCT's.) The company WayV is under is called Label V, which is part of SM, but separate from the Korean branch of the company and it produces songs in Mandarin to keep the Chinese government happy. All the members of WayV also speak Mandarin and have some connection to Chinese heritage, but most of the members are not native mainland Chinese citizens, so this gives them some immunity from the Chinese government. But they are representing China and they are promoting Chinese culture, so the Chinese government kind of turns a blind eye to the fact that they are technically still under a Korean company, as long as they hid any connection to their Korean company while doing promotions in China. As you can see, not only do the WayV members speak, Mandarin, Korean and English, but Ten is from Thailand so he speaks Thai; Lucas is from Hong Kong so he speaks Cantonese and a little Thai because his mom is Thai; Hendery also speaks Cantonese because he is from Macau China; and Yangyang is Taiwanese, but he grew up in Germany so he also speaks German. WayV is a very international group that speaks many languages. So, pretty much all of WayV's songs are in Mandarin with a few English lyrics and words mixed in. (Except when it's an English version, such as "Bad Alive" or their all English version of "Love Talk," or their song "Miracle", or if you happen to pick the Korean version of a couple of their songs. etc.) LOL
LOVE WAYV // They are such a wild group and so diverse in their songs / Kun, with the red hair, has his pilot's license and sky dives , Ten is one of the best dancers in KPOP // Check out Phantom, Bad Alive, Moonwalk, Regular // Check out NCT 127 / MONSTA X / ONEUS / SHINee / EXO / SUPERM and Super Junior. I totally agree that listening to one group or one genre of music is like eating one type of food. There is no way I could live my life so narrowly. I have lived 56 years of life listening to all types of music. I was raised on jazz and R&B in Detroit, my Dad is a jazz trumpeter. Detroit is also the home of house music and EDM. So I went to house and new wave clubs in high school. So much Depeche Mode back in the day.😂 My father took me to my first concert which was Journey in the sixth grade. I have seen so many different artists growing up. David Bowie, The Police, Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna, George Michael and so many more. I love music period. Now here I am a grandmother listening and loving Kpop. 😀 WayV (WeiShen V) - January 17, 2019 - is the 4th subunit of NCT. WayV the first sub-unit of NCT based outside of Korea. WayV is under SM Entertainment’s China-exclusive label, Label V. WayV is currently a fixed unit of six (formerly seven) members, who are either Chinese citizens by birth or have Chinese ancestry. WayV songs are sung in mostly Mandarin. This song is not what you think it is about 😀. The song is about flight/space the freedom that comes from that. This song was written and produced by the A&R (artist repertoire) team at SM. WayV does not write the majority of their songs. The songs are chosen by the A&R at SM. A lot of artists do not contractually have the freedom/nor the skill to write/produce songs. A lot of Kpop groups (not just kpop - NSYNC was no different) songs are chosen/bought by their A&R team. The groups/artist hear a guide/demo of a song and the song is re-recorded as is, or rearranged and the recorded by the group. Some groups like BTS/Stray Kids/Seventeen ex. write and produce the majority of their own songs, but a lot of groups/artists in the east and the west do not. Depends on the contract and the label.
They actually have a lot of rock and grunge in their music! I can remember another title track with rock elements on the spot - Turn back time. I looove all nct units and WayV is not an exception

Honestly, as a music lover nothing can ve more pleasurable than exploring various kpop groups.. Cuz, in the kpop industry they put the bar so high that its hard to choose any particular group as best or grps to be left out.. They all have some well produced songs and it will be a great loss if they r not checked out.. As an avid listeners i dont want to miss out on them .... Thats the reason why, kpop music industry doing it better than western pop industry.... Except fr some renowned solo artist,,i dont get much gd pop music. To enjoy...
The bts thing is so true. And ig can be said about any mainstream music or artists. Popularity really doesn’t tell anything about talent or discography. Music and talent cannot be ranked by numbers so it's a huge shame when people limit the music they listen to only the more popular groups or whatever genre. I don’t listen to kpop mainly but i have discovered huge amount of great songs from different groups. The groups with the best discography in my opinion are nct, exo and red velvet. Their bsides are gems. But thats mostly just the rnb lover in me talking. Also, this is gonna be controversial. But even as someone who listens to pop a lot. I just can't see the charm with only listening to overly auto tuned pop shit(you know if you know). I'm sorry lol

I became an ARMY in 2015 but also listened to K-POP in general. After all these years I’ve got so bored of BTS (no hate tho😅). I don't feel like you are hating..u just don't feel the hype about them anymore and that's okay. (Even tho that wasn't your main point you were trying to prove) I feel like people nowadays think everyone has to love their faves..or anything they do.. Glad u found groups you are happy with ✌🏼😊
You were once in these "newer fans'" shoes, were you not? You were once in that exact same place, how can you be so dismissive and not more understanding? I don't get it.
Yeah some do..but most prefer listening to just Bts and watch and listen to things just related to them.. because they want them to have most views, win all awards etc..i don't call myself an army but I do appreciate and like some of their songs. Most of my friends are tho and its all about Bts.
(Except when it's an English version, such as "Bad Alive" or their all English version of "Love Talk," or their song "Miracle", or if you happen to pick the Korean version of a couple of their songs. etc.) LOL

Thanks for the excellent explanation and breakdown. We appreciate your comment and your support 👍👍

I looove all nct units and WayV is not an exception

I like all types of music and love to branch out and listen to new things. We don't have to like it all but we should certainly give it all a chance. 😁 Thanks for your reaction and outlook.
100% agree. Thanks for watching!
To enjoy...
Yea I hear you. I love exploring this new KPOP genre though. Im having a great time and get to experience new music every week.
OMG 😱
Sooo freaking tru
Next video Monsta'x love killa MV please 🙏🙏🙏

It’s just them saying they are ready to take off as in launching their dreams and following it.
Hope they take off
WayV in my opinion is by far my favorite subunit of NCT. Unfortunately, so many people sleep on them, even fellow Nctzens. I’m not sure if it’s because their songs are in Mandarin, but they do have lots of songs in Korean and English as well. Thanks for checking them out ❤️

I became an ARMY in 2015 but also listened to K-POP in general. After all these years I’ve got so bored of BTS (no hate tho😅). I always wished them to be successful but now I got tired of all these newer fans talking like BTS is the only group that matters🤦🏻♀️and their music has changed so much. Now I listen to every K-pop group except BTS (maybe only their older songs)😂
Wow you are the first person that’s said this lol🤣
@@TripTipsPodcast it’s just funny how most of my friends who got into BTS like 1 year ago calling me a BTS hater even tho I was an ARMY for like 5 years lol😂
@@MaryJane_MEYou're friends are right! I'm still waiting for the point you were trying to prove by speaking about BTS with such a negative tone. 🤔
I don't feel like you are hating..u just don't feel the hype about them anymore and that's okay. (Even tho that wasn't your main point you were trying to prove)
I feel like people nowadays think everyone has to love their faves..or anything they do..
Glad u found groups you are happy with ✌🏼😊
You were once in these "newer fans'" shoes, were you not? You were once in that exact same place, how can you be so dismissive and not more understanding? I don't get it.
Not all Armies listen to only BTS. For a lot of them it's the only KPOP band they listen to..but they listen to other music. Lol
Yeah some do..but most prefer listening to just Bts and watch and listen to things just related to them.. because they want them to have most views, win all awards etc..i don't call myself an army but I do appreciate and like some of their songs. Most of my friends are tho and its all about Bts.
If you listen to multiple artists then congrats, that's pretty dope and normal actually. Idk how good a group is,listening to only a certain number of songs over and over again gets a bit boring 😅
Ps.
D&J thanks for the lovely reaction 👑👑❤️
Yea people have been saying that. I spoke to soon.
Thanks for your input. Yes agreed. I couldn’t just listen to a few songs over and over it is a bit boring. That’s why we do so many different reactions to different bands in the industry. It spices things up. Thanks for your support💜💜
@@TripTipsPodcast I really respect you both for giving many groups a shot even the ones that don't have multiple million views on their music videos or songs and just discovering nice music you might add to your playlist.
You guys are celebrating music in a way and spending quality time together and im all here for it. 🥰
Im very grateful to you for also posting stuff that you know you prolly won't get too many views for.
I might not watch some content (Bts and Blackpink) but i'll support you and your kpop journey and i hope you will get to know many different groups and find some dope songs you can vibe to while going on trips together or just chillin' as father and son.
Don't worry about hate comments and keep keeping it real .👑
If they want, people will always find smth hurtful in your words and try to call you out on your "ignorance".
Know, mature people won't get offended even if you don't like a song of their favorite group and feel free to say it. We'll be grateful that you at least gave it a shot. Not everyone has the same taste and preference and that is fine.
That's smth i wanted to say for a while now.
Stay blessed kings 🤍

Thank you so much for all your kind words. We appreciate your support 😊
Honestly we just do all these songs for ourselves. We like to discover new genres, bands and songs. It’s what keeps life interesting for us.
As for the haters. We enjoy them. We just have fun with them and enjoy making their lives more miserable than they already are 😂
