I have 2 Yamaha PSS-790's, I bought the first one in 2008 primarily because I needed a midi controller for
my Roland groovebox and also because I wanted a Yamaha keyboard from the early 90s as I particularly
wanted a keyboard with lofi instruments and drums. I also bought another Yamaha PSS-790 in 2022
because one of the buttons on the original PSS-790 no longer works so the original PSS-790 is kept
as a spare. It sounds similar to many Yamaha PSR keyboards from the early to mid 90s.

Unfortunately not, this one has sampled (AWM) voices

@@yamagrow420 The PSS-580 and 780 was last flagship Portasound with FM voices. From 1990 PSS-590 and 790 introduced AWM for both voices and rhythm. FM anyway still were employed for more basic models.
