- Where can you go for a small town feel close to Atlanta? With Locally owned shops, restaurants boutiques and two Smithsonian recognized museums, Cartersville is calling you. Head to the Ross Diner, Appalachian Grill, Bridge House, and Ate Track for some great meals all under the Church Street Bridge. Take a little trip to Red Top Mountain State Park to get in touch with nature. And of course, Barnsley Resort is just down the road, perfect for a visit to the ruins and gardens or a relaxing overnight stay.
Great video. We worked and lived in Cartersville for almost 10 years. It was the best place we ever lived. Great weather, beautiful area, wonderful people, plenty to do, outdoor paradise……..Easy to get to the Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico.
We recently visited the Tellus Science Museum and had a lot of fun, but we need to make another trip back to check out Savoy. I did not know that was there and now feel like we have to drive down and check it out! Thanks for sharing!
Cartersville has loads of restaurants for its size. Far more than most cities, per capita.
