Thank you for the video. You went into a lot of depth on your choices and I enjoyed the gameplay footage. I will say looking at your glaive attacks, it seems like the first hit does a lot more damage than the rest of the combo hits, maybe 50% on the first swing. You said you did testing, but that's just my observation from the video. I'm going to try to grind the gear legit since I believe that getting the gear in the first place is a lot of the gameplay for this game. Secondary traits can be farmed by rerolling cheese so that shouldn't be too terrible. Edit: After thinking about it some more, the extra damage might be from the bonus for consuming/draining. It's short enough that by the time you run over to a captain and charge up the swing, you only get the bonus for the first swing.
Exactly. The bonus from consumes lasts roughly 5 seconds (keep in mind, this is extended ~10 secs in Wraith wrath), same as Mask of Undying. The window of time to charge up and hit with multiple Deadly Striker swings is very small and most of the time you won't see it on the follow-up hits. That's why Mask of Undying combos opt for the single charge Mighty Swing instead of Deadly Striker, because the buff is short so it's easier to get a couple Mighty Swings in and they can just re-buff again. 13:30 We have several buffs on top of just consume bonus (all displayed at timestamp here) - most notably the 40% follower buff which is basically always on. Because of all the damage buffs, there's more upside to using Deadly Striker with this build than almost any other build. If you can't justify using it here, you can't justify anywhere - which is why most people say use Mighty Swing instead because Deadly Striker is extremely niche. However, single or double charging Deadly Striker gives this build superior versatility in engaging opponents over single charge spam. When you DO manage to hit the Consume bonus with a follower and full HP into a fast double charge Deadly Striker, you know you've done it because it brings any Captain to low health lightning fast. That's the upside of the build, albeit difficult to pull off. The baseline damage buffs without consume bonus makes it good enough if you can't pull it off, which is most of the time. All that said, you could build this for Mighty Swing and do just fine. Still try to stack damage buffs and quickly follow up with single charge spam. Most people will be used to doing so as most builds use Mighty Swing, and there's nothing wrong with it. It works well. It's just like I said before though, this is THE Deadly Striker build because of the amount of damage buffs you can stack on the follow up hits. You don't have to use it, but there aren't many builds that can use it effectively. I like Deadly Striker, prefer to use it, and regularly pull off the precise window of timing required for consume buffed follow up hits. I found Mighty Swing single charges to be not as fun, and it's not as flexible with positioning because you can move in Deadly Striker but not in Mighty Swing. TL;DR: It's personal preference on Mighty Swing vs Deadly Striker. I think the buffs make a unique case for the DPS potential of Deadly Striker not possible in other builds. But you could build for Mighty Swing and this build is still good. Mighty Swing just works a little better with Mask of the Undying in general. My conquest times were never as good using Mighty Swing vs Deadly Striker, but I'm not a professional and biased.
i got this build but i got gain 3 wrath on kill on the armor and gain 3 wrath per ranged kill on bow i kill like 5 or 6 enemies with bow and i got full wrath again. also my story prestige skill is lvl 100 so i gain 100% more wrath per kill
I'm pinning this for now because I think the bow secondary is most flexible and this is a great option, especially with Drain: Quiver of Souls. Bow in general works really well to get back into Elven Rage when not in it, and it slows down time with focus which helps getting the gold on Conquest. Great idea, thanks for the comment!

@@voicechatty There's endless build potential in Elden Ring. With up to 18 Larval tears (the item mandatory for respeccing) you can respec your character 18 times per run. @IntangirVoluntaryist in Ring Wraith form, your might automatically increase on its own - that's in addition to whatever might you gain from combo hits. Outside of Ring Wraith, the best option is normally to Talon Strike which generates wrath per hit and allows you to skip Might generation entirely. If you do have might inside or outside of Wraith, you use Elven Light (no upgrades) to generate Wrath per hit. Set also has bow secondary for gaining might per critical hit, but that's almost inconsequential to the overall combo. This combo is enabled by the sword: Wrathgiver, the most OP and sought after equipment. You always generate might in Elven Wraith, but Wrathgiver allows you to spend might to gain Wrath during wraith for essentially infinite wrath. That's why I'm always gaining might because Wraith never ends
