  • I've used this workflow for 1 year now with the same equipment. It can take 15-20 minutes to properly heat up and execute this workflow. I still can't pour latte art well lol.
    Grinder: DF64
    Espresso Machine: Flair 58 LE
    Scale: Acaia Lunar
    Steamer: Bellman Steamer

Swallow disappointment, LoL. Done a lot of that - it's half of the fun... I upgraded the Pro2 (3 years) to the 58+ a month ago and my cold start to cleaned up finish for a 12 oz. latte went from 20 minutes to 18 minutes. Most of the time goes to heating a lot of water (gas burner) - I kick start the Bellman with boiling water and preheat the cup with it, too. I use the water heating time to hand grind (Comandante Red Clix) and steam heat the portafilter/screen.

Thanks for watching! I agree that the longest part of the process is waiting for things to heat up. I'm currently experimenting with the subminimal nanofoamer pro and will probably make a video on that to see if it will replace my bellman steamer.

No problem! You should also check out the subminimal nanofoamer pro to compare

I have the 50SS without a gauge - I run the pressure up to safety release and then reduce the heat to maintain that max pressure during steaming. Now at two years of pretty much daily use, one or two times a day and the Bellman is holding up well. The insert/lid/knob seals are showing wear and age but haven't been a problem yet. I flip the lid seal occasionally and the knob seal showed obvious wear (wearing flat) at a year when I flipped it. I just ordered in replacements a couple of weeks ago to be ready.

I think you got the grounds too fine😂 also maybe do a pre-infusion for a couple of seconds to help improve the flow.

Oh yes, I definitely ground a bit too fine in the video. I find that I perfer longer extractions for the coffees I like to drink or else they turn a bit too sour for my taste. Cheers!

Change the steam tip with single hole 0.8mm, it is a game changer.
