I'm so sorry for this sad time in your life. Losing a parent is a deep loss but to lose your Dad to such a life robbing disease is somehow harder. Not being able to break free from the addiction means he wasn't there a good portion of your life. Robbed you of the moments you could have spent making good memories. I hope you have someone close to help you through your grief 😢

i love all the sharing of memories that really speak to the force behind coldplay. my mother had dementia and her memory was cobwebs and dust and one day she said to me that she liked coldplay. she put their music on and she sang all the words to this song and others. they became a way for us to connect to each other when we couldn't find something to talk about. i'd say, hey lets listen to coldplay and then she'd want to talk about how handsome chris martin was. she was always open to music, didn't limit herself and that's how i found out about coldplay. forever a fan.
