what beats me is why the undercover bosses always dish out money at the end of the show to a few employees. when a company succeeds it is usually a team effort, so what bosses should do when they go back to corporate is review pay and benefits policies for the reward to go to all deserving employees and not just those who were on the show. because if you do sthg to one employee the rest will demand the same..you are setting a precedent which will not be sustainable.. I saw one show one employee got USD 250.000, to take care of her housing problem though it was a really kind gesture BUT would the boss do the same for all other employees with a similar problem?

That bakery really needs to upgrade. I dunno if its still standard in the US, but as a german industrial mechanic their sorting and packaging equipment looks like from the 80s or something, literally has to stop the whole line because the whole thing relies on a human for its row sorting to even work properly, the least you could do is automate that with directional air nozzles pushing unruly buns into the rows.

You probably understand how expensive upgrading the machinery would be then. If it's working, why change it? The problem was when someone incompetent tried to run it, not the employees!

@@jessicataylor7174 I could tell you how much it would propably cost in germany, no idea how much US companies charge for it. Light beam or computer based imaging sorting systems are a fairly common refit, and one of the cheapest considering their various advantages lead to a quick return of your investment. So "if its working, why change it?" is a way of thinking a business shouldnt follow, rather "how can i improve my production and reduce my cost? how much would an upgrade improve my production? When would the investment be aprox. returned? How much would it improve my netto gain per year after that? etc." Its always a lot more complicated that just leave a running system.

I worked at a bum factory during a summer job.. long time ago.. it was intense.. and even more so as they didn't have AC. I was a student at the time, apparently they put bets to see how long each student comes in will last. Apparently, the turnover rate is high and 2 students who came after me, 1 lasted 2 days, and the other 1 day. I lasted the whole 3 months of summer. Got a good reference afterward.

It's only a few seconds to throw the trash away or if you are doing it efficiently you don't even waste a single second as you are gonna pass a trash can on your way out, so I really don't think that even a CEO could be in such a rush that he wouldn't have time for that.. it's all about manners which you seem to be lacking aswell.

It obviously isn’t part if their jobs, thats why there are bins placed around the restaurant for you to put your rubbish in, furthermore even if there jobs were to clean up after you ( which they aren’t) it is polite to clean up after yourself and help other human beings. And if you need to resort to racism to win an argument online even though everyone knows in real life you would be too much of a pussy to say anything you just look like a 10 year old

American producers will be able to take the soul out of every TV format.
This was such a cool interesting format. But in the US it is overly scripted, in many scenes, they try to act like there is no many cameras and mikes on them, the cover story is shit, and every episode looks completely the same.
The producers are so scared to find a normal business with normal people so they just create episode after episode that looks the same. Good worker, bad worker, touching stories.
