I was a resort only girl too until we bought a motorhome! Oh my god, I could live in it, by a lake with a fire, forever! That's how I camp.
Great idea to have separate bedrooms for kids. Love the shutters. I always. hang curtains over my blinds. They bring color to the room and makes it cozy. Just take your time and enjoy raising your kids and making your house a home. The kids will be grown before you know it and enjoy your time with your husband. Life is short. I am definitely not a camper either. Maybe you should get a screen on your patio so you can open the patio doors when the weather is nice and the bugs can't get in. Are you planning on landscaping the backyard. I'm sure Chris knows that getting rid of all that growth will help with the bugs.

Michelle, you are doing a fantastic job turning your house into a home. I like to go camping but in a camper not a tent. I guess that would really be glamping because it has all of the comforts of home.😊

Your home is coming together beautifully.My dad was in the service and my mom would always say get the kitchen, bathroom and beds set up then have fun decorating.We used to camp in a tent now I enjoy cabins😂

Don't obsess over the toys or how they look. Kids grow up so fast. My kids are all gone with kids of their own and I miss the toys and baby books. 😢❤

Yes we camp....not in a tent or sleeping or the ground. Lol we have an antique Motorhome, it has fridge, stove , bathroom and air-conditioning. So we have modern conveniences, but we are out in the provincial parks. So hiking, cycling, and swimming are our entertainment we don't have a TV with us. It's fun. Love your new house!
Definitely more resort for me. But I love going up north to the cabin. Alot of good memories there including where my husband and I got engaged.
I went actual camping with my family once and we almost drowned in our sleep 😅 my husband is an eagle scout and he swore up and down the water wouldn't come up and it did. We camped on the wisconsin river and there's a bunch of sand islands there. We left later in the day and by the time we got the boat in the water it was going to get dark so we picked one of the first islands. It was still wet and I said it seemed like it was underwater earlier and my husband insisted it was fine. In the middle of the night it had rained. We had a pretty big tent (2 adults, 2 kids and our German shepherd) at like 2am our dog was whining and would not lay down. I figured she needed to go potty so I opened the tent to let her out and when I did the river was about two feet away full on current from our tent. We had to all wake up and drag the tent as high up as we could on the island and ended up sleeping on the boat. When the sun came up the tent was in knee deep water. We moved down the way to a different island for the second night and that was actually pretty nice.
Never camping again lol. We live on 8 acres. Mostly woods so we definitely have alllll the pests here too and have our guys come out every three months for maintaining that.
The shutters are perfect, they look so great with the curtain panels.
I have the same, but in the 3” no rod to block the view.

I love camping. We live in the SF bay area and have so many amazing places to camp within a few hours drive like lake tahoe, mammoth, yosemite and even the beach. I grew up camping so that might be why.

I feel the same way you do. The bugs, dirt and the heat; not a fan of camping. And, when I go on vacation, even if it’s a weekend trip. I feel like I am getting away from the daily routine of life, so The last thing I want to do is cook and clean. Have a great day!

My hubby and I are obsessed w/ camping and being by ourselves. We always try to find places to camp away from people. But we don’t go camping in the summer we go in the fall where it’s cool. But we go deep in the woods.

Get a Citronella candle for outside and inside it repels bugs
I love camping out with my sons and granddaughters😊. But I also love going to resorts. I just moved in new home also and we have tons of bugs too. I live in AZ and crickets bring scorpions and spiders are black widows wolf spiders n big ugly tarantulas😱😱I do have bug guy and I call often, come back, awwww. They will calm down after a few years I heard.

Try 1 part rinse aid 1 part dawn dish soap or any dish soap and 1 part white distilled vinegar add warm water shake spray onto glass and buff with a micro fibre cloth it’s also meant to be good on mirrors and fridge doors it’s not it is only a good solution to use on glass from doors windows and shower glass surrounds

I semi glamp, love the lake but only if I am in a full on camper that I could live in! No to being hot and no to all the bugs, so if we are not out on lake then I am cozy in my air conditioned camper bug free for the most part! Sage rug in front is gorgeous. Maybe the fridge seal doesn’t work on glass because that one side is glass.

Girl get soft scrub bathroom cleaner it cleans and shine your tub beautifully or vinegar with dawn soap and water can't go wrong with vinegar

Hubby has some good advice... just take your time everything doesn't need to be done at once especially if you are not sure what you want to do in that area... live with it a bit until you are sure what you want to do and then you won't regret it later everytime you walk past it or notice it lol... you will be more likely to be happy with it knowing you have it looking exactly how you want it too.

I wonder if you put 2 of them rug holders together floor to floor sides ,so carpet would go to carpet . Would it stick better with rug on carpet.
I think is also because the rug on the carpet is a huge rug so it’s hard to keep it in place

I wouldn't mind camping but I hear so many horror stories and I've tent camped before. My first time was horrible!! I didn't know that raccoons growled! I stayed up all night.
