    Steelers, “there wasn’t a single pick I didn’t like….. B” how does that work? If you like every pick how is it not an a? Lol

      bias is why, read most articles from people and the steelers got an easy A+ this year, easily top 3 if not the best overall draft

      This is kinda weird bud. You know there's also ratings of F, D, and C? Hating would probably be one of those. Liking all the picks is a lot different than thinking it's a perfect draft

      Definitely because there is a difference between liked, and loved man...if the drafts filled with all picks he likes got an A A+, what letter does he give the drafts where he loves a lot of the picks?? But who cares about these absolutely meaningless grades anyways...it's literally meaningless time/content filler. The only draft grades that matter, are the ones a few years down the road. Don't be a day after draft, draft grade simp. You're a better fan of the game than that...right?

      @AtoZSportsFilmRoom  หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      I try to save the A/A- grades for the best 4 or 5 classes. Pittsburgh's 2023 class would be an A for example because I had 1st round grades on their top 3 picks (Jones/Porter/Benton) and a 2nd round grade on Washington. Every year there's only a few classes I actually dislike so if I give everyone an A it kinda waters it down

    Great video. Roman Wilson had the 2nd best 1st Down/TD rate per route run in the class behind Marvin Harrison Jr. and he's in the top handful in Yards Per Route Run. R Wilson managed a 37% dominator rating and 12TD on a run first offense, so his lack of production is a dominant share of a non-passing offense. Since he has good work ethic, good football IQ, good hands, he's reliable in clutch situations, gets open... generally good at everything, he should step into the Diontae Johnson role nicely. I believe in that T Lockett comp, really fits a need and Wilson should be the WR2 on the Steelers instantly. I know some people just think R Wilson is just another guy... but I think he's underrated because of the offense he played with.

      I've been leaving angry rants everywhere because since this team made the playoffs last year with _that_ QB room & receivers, that even if the o-line could use upgrades, doesn't having receivers that get open not help that o-line, reduce pressure on it _AND SCORE_ points getting them off the field faster? So to me, getting only 1 receiver in itself seems like a large lack of foresight.
      The Steelers have No Depth _anywhere_ but LB nor anything much in draft capital due to always winning too high. Even if they were to win it all this season, their stars aren't yet old, but in the long term, they're going to need a rebuild soon & there's little point getting a QB that will have few people to throw to. If he ends up being better than Diontae, fine.
      But I still think they need One More _GOOD_ receiver. *Desperately.* But the rumors about Aiyuk haven't come true. Still, thanks for those facts on Wilson. I'm dyslexic so can't find those myself.

    • @RealYRM
      @RealYRM หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@choosecarefully408 Pickens, Freiermuth, Wilson, Harris, Warren are all decent weapons. The Steelers could also run 2TE sets if a 3rd WR doesn't step up. I agree that they need one more GOOD WR though. But if the line is improved, it opens up QB rushing if Fields gets the job, and it opens up play action passes. The Defense should be good enough that establishing a solid run game could open up a lot of other things. Roman Wilson can block too. You might find he reminds you a little of a prime years Hines Ward at times.

    • @choosecarefully408
      @choosecarefully408 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RealYRM I've managed, coached, trained etc. & learned over the years that my instincts are better than good, they're _really_ good. So I'll add something. Someone made a video on the Steelers last season & just left a page with their entire roster up. They made the point that they had No Depth _before the start_ of the '23 season.
      Last season, ALL their offensive selections were blockers. Every last one. Yet somehow this season they're lacking blockers? Especially _run_ blockers? Yet nothing, absolutely nothing was wrong with their run game last season.
      So even if it's a "needed" upgrade, it's far from the Main Priority. We *know* that they _can survive with the o-line as it was_ because they *already did! AND* since a lot of blockers get better year two they're likely to be _better_ this year if they did nothing, you get me? *After that* you get to "having receivers get open reduces the amount of time to pass. Reducing the amount of time to pass relieves pressure from the o-line" & scoring chances.
      When they announced they were drafting Pickett & Harris, Yinzers whined "who will block for them?" That was two years ago. It feels like they're two years behind in their thinking. The o-line only has to be adequate, not élite for an offense to function, _then_ you build around that, _then if it lags behind_ you go & build it. If you don't have assets to fix everything, you need to *_constantly_** reassess* your priorities.
      Getting run blockers will add something, sure. & new QBs _have the potential to_ improve the passing game by itself _if you change nothing else._
      But because the Steelers are already shallow in receivers the Johnson trade is a bigger factor than ti should be. Heck, I'm no fan of his. But Wilson is a rookie who may or may not replace any amount of his production & Jefferson & Watkins we already know won't. Despite winning the championship, the Chiefs lost at least two regular season games strictly because of their weak receiving corps. The Steelers ain't the Chiefs, y'dig?
      Getting these blockers didn't send them _backwards._ But the likely result _is_ what? Slightly better production in the run game which was already good. So the progress wasn't made on their _weaker points_ where there was more room for it.
      I'm not _really_ ranting, just being thorough. A shorter "they needed WR help" wouldn't explain itself.

      Bro! I've been thinking the same thing. All I see are the other 2 Wilson's all over the place.
      DONT GET ME WRONG they're great from what I've seen as well.
      People have almost dismissed Roman it seemed like for a bit. I didn't understand people wereand still are too caught up in "rumors". Forget a rumor look at the facts/ what's right in front of you 😂
      That's a relief I'm not the only one that saw it. The highlights were enough I was sold.

    Yikes. The Bengals' selections do not fare well under full analysis. So the A- feels out of synch with all that you said. The Browns also seem bad on closer scrutiny. The Ravens did their usual, solidifying the trenches & not even looking at star positions.
    The Steelers got good draft board value, but it all feels wrong to me. It's probably due a lot to my opinion of Arthur Smith, but it feels like more than that. Something feels _really_ off about them this season. Not sure why I feel it.

      I agree on Smith. He failed in Atlanta miserably,but I do believe that this Steeler offense has a lot more in common with the ones he had in Tennessee. If the combination of Harris and Warren can be even close to Henry in production,I think this will be a great draft

      We didn't hire the Head Coach Arthur Smith. We hired him as an OC. When he was an OC....he had 2 back to back top 10 offenses. One year was top 5. Plenty of OCs go to head coach and don't make it...then go back to OC and are fine.

      Someone posted stats showing Burrow is gettin' hit WAY MORE than Andrew Luck did, so getting o-line help was already neglected way too long.
      The Steelers on the other hand seem to be doing the opposite, constantly trying to make up for lacks from previous seasons. This o-line got that QB room to the playoffs. It's adequate. Getting receivers who get open would also help reduce pressure on them.
      But they drafted o-line over receiver.
