    This vehicle came in not starting the customer was told he needs injectors but for my experience it did not sound like injectors to me so always check multiple things before you start replacing very expensive items on your car
    It's always a good idea especially on a diesel vehicle when you are having problems starting or running the vehicle to check the diesel filter diesel filters can cause a lot of problems on diesel vehicles
    Water in diesel is very Common especially when you don't replace the fuel filter regular

    Merci beaucoup, j'ai pu faire repartir un pathfinder avec le même système de porte filtre à gasoil suite au changement de filtre. La tuyauterie s'était mise à l'air lorsque j'ai retiré l'ancien filtre et la petite pompe ne suffisait pas à amorcer / purger. J'ai branché une petite pompe poire à la sortie d'air comme dans la vidéo mais ça n'a pas suffit, il a fallu que j'en fasse de même à la sortie gasoil située à l'avant au niveau de la flèche. Une fois que le gasoil était sorti par ces deux orifices, j'ai rebranché la tuyauterie. La pompe du porte filtre est enfin devenue active et on ressentait qu'elle pompait réellement (ce qu'elle n'avait fait avant). J'ai pu enfin purger et réseau et le mettre en pression. Le moteur est parti au deuxième coup de démarreur. Essai le lendemain matin pour vérification du maintien de pression. Démarrage avec 1°C dehors. Lancement immédiat du moteur. Merci encore

      Christopher Lawton yes mate that's where we always test everything and be 100% sure no point just throwing a part cannon at it but I wouldn't have like to see his face when near the Mechanic put four new injectors and he still told him he has a problem lol

    Nice video mate. Cracking job. I get so frustrated at work when we're not given any time to diagnose diesels properly and the boss for some reason always takes over from the start. It's almost as if bosses don't let u diagnose cars anymore, I'm fed up with it. Might get my own unit again and start again self employed once I got a bit of work coming in

    • @bodgitandleggitgarage
      @bodgitandleggitgarage  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      British-mechanic it's just for fun really if you get very big you can make money but it certainly does cost a lot to do my camera equipment a loan with over 3000 then the added time of making the video also editing it getting Internet all that sort of stuff it does cost a lot once you start making them if you do you will certainly appreciate all the TH-camrs time that goes into it it's one of them things where you have to experience it just to realise it's like having a job or on its own also answering comments dealing with people also dealing with all the dick heads you get as well

    • @bodgitandleggitgarage
      @bodgitandleggitgarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi mate it's impossible to say it could be something serious like an injector or burning oil but it also could be absolutely nothing just a bit of excess Diesel as your cranking it will have to be checked out and diagnose properly impossible to guess

    Last time I saw that, someone thought it would be fun to pee in the tank of a Transit parked road side, It had started as normal next morning then gradually began mis-firing till it would hardly run.
    It was towed back to us, I checked it was actually injecting but what I found was not diesel.
    After a tank clean, filter change and fuel lines blown through it was a pig to start and was blowing white smoke / steam from the exhaust but gradually cleared till it was back to it's old self.
    Fuel pumps and injectors don't like water at all, fortunately if you are quick and get it out before rusting starts you can usually save them.

    • @bodgitandleggitgarage

    would this fault affect anything else? diesel having a lubricant property? If you wrong fuel with unleaded, it normally hurts the fuel pump, granted you would have to drive it after putting the wrong fuel in but it happens, it must do purely on the bias of how many wrong fueling companies are out there.

    • @bodgitandleggitgarage

      Technically no but when one starts giving a problem it's only a matter of time when the others do I realise it comes down to money but in the perfect world you would replace all for once and get the pump reconditioned
