- Kadinelia are a guitar duet from Greece who compose their own tracks incorporating elements from blues, funk, gypsy music and several traditions of the world. The intense rhythmic motifs, the dynamic guitar solos, the exotic vocals and the continuously alternate roles of the two musicians while playing are just some facets of their live performance.

This is a very difficult piece and she is playing it on kimenche, a three string lyra from the Black sea (Pontos). Very dificult !
Sunt un copil român si sunt foarte încântat de aceste melodii balkanice si sper ca acestea sa fie cat mai aslcultate in rândul copiilor. Este pur si simplu arta.

@@mitkostoichev3905 Kemenche is simply a word borrowing from Turkish (ultimately Iranian). It just means fiddle/lyre. For example the Turks would call the Lyra of Crete 'Girit kemenche'. It is true though that κεμεντσες is used by Pontian Greeks as short hand for their particular fiddle.

@@polemidis it's about a girl named Maria that is looking for her brother and is asking the doves if they've seen her brother while flying in the sky and whether he has been enslaved or put in prison. And in response the doves say that he's in prison in Odrin (Edirne) and tell her to come with them to see him. Essentially it's a sad song :) and I really like how Kadinelia performed it ❤️ Hope that helped!

It is not a song it is a piece of heart that takes off your heart.The heart that keeps turning that makes me tired from him.Its the song that gather all loose love in the heart and pour it back on one constrained drop . The bulgarians and greeks of eastern thrace played an other kind of kemence, called "Thracian lyra". The girl you see singing had ancestors from black sea. That's why you see her playing pontus lyra (kemence).😊

Moma Mariyo, Mariyo (in Bulgarian: Мома Марийо, Марийо). It's a traditional song from the northern parts of Pazardzhik province. There's a recording from 1975 of the Bulgarian singer Nadka Karadzhova singing the song. Maybe that's where they learned it from.
