This is great, I had a play about with the same concept after seeing Mr. Church's video, but ultimately went with a different tact I have a nine object merge, (tinker, chemist, company tea, coffee, permican, stove, meat and a couple of eggs), one one wall and a three object merge (weapon, armour, perk card) just inside the door. Bed on one shelf, suitcase stash box and some decoration on the other, plus lots of posters and junk lying around. It looks quite cool, I really like it If anyone plays on PlayStation, it's usually outside Foundation next to a Red Rocket Truckstop build
@@Barlofontain nice, yea Mr Church really know his stuff. I didn’t go too crazy in this video but I thought I may as well show how the basics are done and then others can see what they can do on their own. Thanks for checking it out!
I'm new to merging and really appreciated the simplicity and the pace of this tutorial. Great work. I was inspired to load my camper with a weenie wagon, popcorn maker, and two tato gens. I used four eggs. It looks great but the blueprint won't place. I shall try again with 1 egg and a few mats. Thanks for sharing this.
@@GrimIsOnFire hey thanks for watching the video and I appreciate the kind words! I found after posting this video, with some items if you were to blueprint without the egg it may give the “can’t place as an item is floating sign”. In this case you may need an egg under said floating item. Best case scenario is when blueprinting, remove one item at a time but keep the original camper with all the items you want to merge into it. Then when blueprinting, you can make a new blueprint each time to find out which item is the issue, this way you can eliminate the problem item and then add an egg under it thus eliminating the issue. I had issues with the cooking station but after re adding the egg, it was all good.
@@mehtarelingolien if you’re using this camper in your build and only the camper? then I suppose yes. But if you’re making other external structures and expanding your camp, you might still need its uses. What I meant in the video is the flame trap doesn’t make the camper easier to build in as it basically retains its full structure. The egg however allows most if not all items to be fused into the camper (as shown)
It's not "exactly" where it was tho. It sunk down into the cabinet a lot. From the looks of it, about 3 drops worth on the pressure plate. All the details from the bench is basically gone.
I’m not one to be nit picky but in my video I specifically remember saying ’you can get it to be exactly the same if you want it to’ and slightly earlier than that I mention that it’s at the perfect height to phase directly into the cabinets (which it does) The ‘if you want it too’ was me basically hinting that you guys need to experiment with the height with other objects but as you can see in my video, it gets pretty much the same as the survival tent and it functions perfectly.
You could potentially use the Reverse Merge technique, basically you put that egg and whichever item you'd like on top of your C.A.M.P Module and similar to the pressure plate you grab NOT the item itself but the C.A.M.P Module forcing the item to go higher... but have both options available in case you're in need of corrections I believe that's how it works I'm not 1000% certain, but if not, it will be like the pressure plate technique whereby you grab the item instead, but either way that is potentially a viable option worth a giving a go. 👍
@@MrMyzery540 on what item? As shown in the video it does work for the tinkers workbench if done exactly how I did it but (no egg). But when I show the cooking station, I left the egg underneath and it still worked. If your blueprint doesn’t work, try using an egg underneath the item which you suspect is the ‘floating’ one. Blueprinting does indeed work as evident in the video at 6:22.
@lEluSivl using a vendor, got it in place but with or without the egg in the blueprint I still won't let me place it. One egg may be slightly higher cause I used 2 one on each side of camper.
@@MrMyzery540 should only need one egg per item for it to work. I did extensive testing and was able to get my items to work each time. When it said the item was ‘floating’ I just substituted in an egg and it fixed my issue and allowed me to place it anywhere after blueprinting.is there any other items you merged that may be triggering the ‘floating’ message?
@lEluSivl no just 2 eggs and a vendor on each, shoot eggs, place camper, repair, everything's were it should be, hold button to blueprint, save and then once I try to place it then says no support, again could be eggs not same height, I built in the best flat space I could, I can't do it at airport like in your vid cause vendor isn't available in workshops...... maybe you should replicate what I'm doing in a c.a.m.p. setting with vendors and see how it goes.
@@MrMyzery540 ahh I see I see. Just a quick question, what type of vendor are you using? eg. cash register type or the basic ones?
