      Connor has always put the work in against lesser opponents. He loves beating up bums. It's against quality opposition that he has a problem against. I thought the guy he was sparring with was Brendan Loughnane for a second there but na, it's just some Irish bum that's easy work for Connor. He doesn't like to challenge himself by getting quality opposition into the gym, he just beats up bums to fuel his ego. Did the other fighter even land a single punch? This sparring partner is definitely not adequate to the level of opposition Connor will be facing in the cage. Still though, it's a step up from pensioners in a bar.

    You can clearly see he’s holding back. He doesn’t want to hurt the sparring partners, and is actually respectful of them. Too many people go into those sparring wars which aren’t good for anyone (of course there are times for hard spars).
    That’s why he’s not THAT fast… as with more speed usually comes more power/more chance to hurt someone.
    Not sure about you guys, but I’m hella excited to see him come back! He’s clearly having fun with it and is driven to come back and make it happen!

      Lol! Definitely holding back with those headkicks, a knee stomp/oblique kick and throwing hayemakers vs semi pros and dropping somebody with 16oz gloves on, those headkicks would drop you if you didn't block it. What is it with the cope in all the comments, just say the truth you don't need to lie. Only thing holding him back was the fatigue from rounds of sparring if we're going to be objective.

    • @Disinfo321
      @Disinfo321 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your speed comment was just... moronic. What more do you want from him? Sprinting at the opponent? He was teep kicking, head kicking, body kicking, and throwing his left hand as quick as he could with 16oz gloves on and some fatigue.

    • @MikePerryLegit
      @MikePerryLegit ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Disinfo321 None of these guys are semi pros, you don't get flown out to Dubai for a training camp if you're just some guy. Also the only bad sparring etiquette was the oblique kick he apologised for. The headkicks were clearly pulled (not to mention he has shin pads on) and the only reason your man got dropped was because he threw a naked leg kick and dove into a straight punch with his chin in the air. Compared to the videos of other pros (Strickland, Cerrone...) actually flatlining guys at a local gym this is pretty damn tame.
