They rather act like they understand it, even if they have absolutely no idea. In this case you can guess pretty well what the point they tried to make was, but its not "a thing" to talk like that. Of couse you can say something like that but only to friends that already understand your vibe. If you talk like that to strangers they simply won't bother to ask you to clarify. hope that helped
