    Hulk isn’t the strongest in Marvel Champions, but i don’t think he’s the weakest hero in the game. Which heroes are weaker than Hulk in your opinion?

      You’re thinking of Hawkeye aren’t you?? 😂
      I do wish Hulk was “better” and hope he gets help through future cards. He’s also be the only hero I’d love a revised rerelease.

      Groot without question, I think he's the weakest hero in the game. His kit just doesn't flow together at all.

      @@webwarriorfanatic Poor Groot indeed. I think he's in a similar boat as Hulk where you want to play him because the character is fun, but the hero just feels very underpowered. Hulk at least has hero cards that have impact when you can play them. Groot kinda just... exists.

    One of my favorite home rules is making it that when Hulk discards cards from his hand at the end of his turn, he gets that much +ATK until the end of his next turn. Makes it feel like he's charging up for an attack rather than tossing cards for no reason.

    • @webwarriorfanatic
      @webwarriorfanatic  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Very cool. That’s very thematic to Hulk and doesn’t really change much with how he plays but allows some cool aggression combos with the attack stat

    Fantastic review...thank you for doing Hulk...as much of a huge fan of Hulk as I am, I'd have to agree with you on his ranking...it's so funny though because the sheer fandom has me returning to him time and time again, despite the challenges he has with his mechanics...he's by far the most played hero in playthroughs for me....maybe I'm just stubborn and keep wanting to experiment so much with him to prove hes not that bad...:p
    I hope hope HOPE we get some Gamma traited cards as I really want Hulk to shine (and She-Hulk too)...I've also been dreaming of a Grey Hulk - Joe Fixit - as a way to present Hulk in a new and improved way....
    Totally agree with him being great in Aggression...I've had luck with him when I use little to no allies, to stack more events in...I feel that's thematic ("Hulk wants to be alone")...but still, yeah...his economy is tough...looking forward to using Disguise with him!

      Thanks Rey! I completely agree with your sentiments. The fandom also has me returning to him over and over again. Hulk is an awesome hero and I’m excited to see different versions of him get introduced to Marvel Champions!

    I would dearly love to see what the Hulk deck was going to look like before FFG decided to nerf him.
    That said some thwarting on the Bruce side (2T for every resource spent, f’example) would go a long way to making me play him more often. Bruce is a genius after all.
    A great hero launched too early in the cycle.

    • @webwarriorfanatic
      @webwarriorfanatic  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Oh yes buffing the Bruce Banner side would go crazy. Honestly if they kept Hulk the exact same but made major changes to Banner he would be a lot more playable

  • @flaviomast
    @flaviomast 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    With Hulk I would only change the alter ego hand from 5 to 6, and chabge the hero ability to something like the Hulk ally card

    • @webwarriorfanatic
      @webwarriorfanatic  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Yea honestly an increase to his alter-ego hand size just makes sense thematically because Bruce Banner is a scientist with tons of resources

  • @teraxe
    @teraxe 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    I would not give hulk a point for his thwart card. You argue that it is very good if he gets lucky and has the 3 fists to pay for Suboptimal Leap. I would say paying 4 effective resources for 5 threat removal is abysmally bad, and if you end up having to pay 4 ER for 3 threat removal, which I have had to do, yikes that is awful.

    • @webwarriorfanatic
      @webwarriorfanatic  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Actually i was only saying it’s good if you have a Limitless Stamina to pay for it lol. Even with 3 physicals, it’s not good as you stated but 1 card (a triple resource) for 5 threat removal is solid. Obviously there’s the opportunity cost of what else the Limitless Stamina could have payed for and it’s very situational at best… but Suborbital Leap came in clutch a few times against Thanos in my recent playthrough.

    • @teraxe
      @teraxe 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@webwarriorfanatic Coming in clutch is not the same as good, heck Crisis Averted is 3 for 6 that can ignore crisis icons, and i wouldn't even say that is a good card. I wouldn't even put it in a deck.

    • @webwarriorfanatic
      @webwarriorfanatic  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@teraxe That’s fair. I don’t think Hulk’s thwart ability is anywhere near good and can see the case for giving him 0/3 for his threat removal

      @neojaw2192 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@teraxe I tend to always get 3 copies of crisis averted in my justice deck builds, and they always avert crisis (pun intended) 👍

    • @teraxe
      @teraxe 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@neojaw2192 That is so interesting, I have never considered it a good card. My go to Justice thwarting events are Things Like Homeland Intervention, Multi-Tasking, Lay Down the Law, Even the Odds and Overwatch. If I am paying 3 resources to thwart I want something like Professor X, Confuse, remove 3 threat and chump block.

    I think you overevaluated thwart. The combo is good, but way too unlikely to pull of because draw power is weak with Hulk. Other than that, I think your review is mostly fair. And yes, I think Banner should have 6 hand size in alter ego. Thematically, he is genius, so no reason. And mechanically, he has no hand size extender support, unlike Thor.

    • @webwarriorfanatic
      @webwarriorfanatic  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Fair points! I definitely could’ve went the 0 thwart route for Hulk lol and agree that thematically the hand size would have been nice

    Hi WWF. Hulk is the worst designed MC hero imo.
    Giving 1 point for THW to him is ludicrous 😂
    Also, his conomy is 0.5 at best.
    And his REC is nothing impressive. He should have have at least 7, as his healing factor is more powerful than Wolverine's/X-23's.
    What a shame what they did with such beloved character!

      Lol! I actually suborbital leaped 2-3x in my recent Thanos game and it actually came in clutch using a Limitless Strength to pay for it. That being said i agree any other hero’s thwart card is better

  • @rovingmauler7410

    It's not really that Hulk is just weak, it's that his hero doesn't make sense. He should have a kit that makes his base attack increase as the game goes on. Or he should have had a ridiculous base attack like 5 or 6. Or he should have a system like Ironheart, where he gets counters from getting damaged and then levels up and gets angrier and more powerful. It could be balanced by making it harder for him to flip down as he gets more powerful.
    All that being said, Hawkeye is the weakest.

    • @webwarriorfanatic
      @webwarriorfanatic  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Lol! I agree with your Hawkeye sentiment. Also agree that thematically it would make sense for Hulk to have a little more. 3 attack is great because no other hero has 3 base attack, but a lot of other heroes get to 3 with 1 upgrade so it would make sense for Hulk to have at least 4 given his other limitations
