Mrs Easton a truly formidable lady and all the 66 families and here we are 49 years on with the 50th anniversary on the horizon ! Respect to all the families then now and always.
Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sun on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning’s hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there; I did not die.
This video tells me that there are many things that are far more important than football games. Let's hope that this dreadful event never happens again Gerard
i was at the game my my brother who has sadly passed away now i gave my scarf to help bind the wounds of the injured like all the decent celic supporters my heart goes out to the famileys of theses people god love and bless them R,I,P
48 years have past since that fateful January afternoon. R.I.P. to the 66 pour souls that went to the football never to return. Always in our hearts. Never to be forgotten. 💔😢 🐻 ❤️⚽️💙 🐻
Whenever I think of the Ibrox Disaster I always think of this lady. She was just being a good mother that day. Her boy was delighted to be at the game. Tragic.
A very moving clip taken from a BBC production from about 10 years ago. God bless all those who lost their lives that day and their family and friends left behind. RIP
Young boys go to watch a football match and don't return home, its just heart wrenching. My father was at the game in the Celtic end and he said he felt helpless at the sight of the tragedy that unfolded that day. Jock Stein was deeply hurt by this disaster and the tasteless way the reporters asked questions regarding the football match sickened him and the entire country. Any Celtic fans who use this terrible tragedy as means to berate opposing supporters are not true Celtic fans they're not even human. God bless the souls of the 66 and bring comfort to their loving families and Friend's.
Sincere condolence from Southern Germany. As a true Celtic fan I sent my deepest sympathy to all the victims and their families, and I'm sure the true Celtic supporters all over the world show respect to those fans who died at Ibrox Park. I feel ashamed for the bastards who laugh about a terrible disaster, just cause it was on the other side of the stadium. What if it would have been YOUR father?
i was away i australia when this happened. it broke my heart to hear the reports as they came in. to the celtic fans who have shown their respect a big thank you. it is only a small part of our great clubs need attention
Any so-called Celtic fans who leave disrespectful comments on sites like this are a disgrace to our great club and are not welcome at Parkhead. This could just as easily have happened to us. This was a tragedy to ALL football fans, religion has nothing to do with it. These boys lost their lives watching a game. It's inconceivable they didn't come home again.
YNWA to the human beings that went to a football match, and never again saw their loved ones. It was unacceptable the way football fans were treated in those days. Lessons, unbelievable, were not learned because Burnden Park saw massive casualties about 40 years before ... Hillsborough saw 96 a few years after. An attitude of control, not safety, has killed hundreds of people. At least today we have stadi that are unlikely to serve up the sort of tragedy that we have endured before. YNWA.
As a lifelong Celtic fan my heart goes out to those who died there that day. My father was at the game and has some horrible remories about the disaster. Anyone who denegrates or disrespects these people should really hang their head. RIP THE 66 ...
An awful tragedy, how anyone can make "jokes"about such a loss of life is beyond me.Ive been to watch Celtic many times but my heart goes out to these poor souls and their loved ones.
On this day we shall remember the sixty-six bears who lost their life on stairway 13. Raise any glass you have high for those who were taken from our "Rangers Family" Lest we Forget,To Absent Friends. R.I.P 66 , We will never forget you
am a celtic fan and for people to laugh and disrespect the innocent rangers fans that died that day are just scum, there were kids that died for fuck sake, how people can insult and make sick jokes about what happened that day is beyond me. r.i.p
@maggiemooney91 I couldn't agree more with you on this, they are a disgrace to Celtic Football Club, I watched the Stairway 13 documentary, that poor woman losing her 13 year old son on a day that should have been a normal day. RIP all that who died and my condolences with the families still. From a Celtic fan.

R.I.P
Simply because Ive delete them you clown ! As for Sam English, his life was ruined thanks to comments from your manager Maley. English is still today Rangers record scorer of league goals, Maley ..."I HOPE it was an accident", Classy eh ?
You know this place is full of eejits. 1 born a min'. What gets to me is the idiots that say. The club should've been jailed. Considering the state of all football stadiums at the time! Ibrox wasn't that bad a stadium. Think about the nick of parkhead! Standing on muddy slope's. You would come out with mud up to your knees. It was an accident pure and simple. A tragic one, but an accident! God bless the 66. Sleep the peacfull sleep.
My dad, brother and uncle were there that day...i was too young.
God bless them all
