I wonder if anyone listens to Morissette and isn't obsessed. Unfortunately some people in the Philippines don't like it. I think they were envious of her extraordinary talent and humble personality. Otherwise, it is impossible for a person who loves music not to love Morissette.
The Philippinens have a different way to America, the singers don't fight each other they help each other, all are very humble and go to church more than once a week like Mori and her husband Dave.

@@wilfredoaying930 I have never seen people fighting for the singers they admire in Turkey. It looks really interesting to me. I love Morissette, but that's why I don't fight anyone. The most beautiful sound in the world in my opinion. There are really talented singers in the Philippines, but Morissette has a special place for me. But I wouldn't break anyone's heart for this, I wouldn't stress myself out either. Why should we fight when we can listen to beautiful voices and be happy?

I have been listening to Morissette almost daily for 5 years, Probably heard her sing over 1000 times (almost entirely live) and I Have Never heard one note off or anything that seemed like it just might not fit. As you said she wears her emotions on her sleeve and she does it every time The best description another coach said of what its like watching her is that she makes these super hard songs seem so effortless that it feels like you are watching a Magic Act.

Perfect. Yes!!! Morissette is the perfect singer for a visual demo to show to your student. Everything is in her from mouth positioning, breathe control, right way to switch from one tone to the other, when to ascend & descend or dynamics & also how to express emotions. 👌❤️

I completely agree on all your comments and compliments to Morissette. She is a role model for everyone who wants to learn good, pure singing. I am guessing that many of us have been inspired by her, those of us who have a knack for singing have improved on singing techniques and skills because of watching her, and the many reactions, reviews and analyses by vocal teachers and coaches like you, who have pointed out and explained various singing techniques used by Mori in her performances. We may not have all her incredible talent, we may never be able to do her squeaks and whistle notes, but at least even in some little ways, there may have been improvements. Please keep on featuring Mori on your channel. There are still a lot for you to see, appreciate, review and enjoy. 🥰

I just got done watching your 1ST time reaction to Dimash SOS (one of my favorite EVER btw), which is what brought me here, and now I'm going to watch the video that I imagine a lot of people thought, "OH NO, she missed the note we wanted her to hear the most!"
I don't know who that artist that you missed their perfect note, so I have to watch the first part of THAT incredible artist. That was an amazing note you had missed. Lol.

From Dimash's extraordinary collection of beautiful songs, his last note on his version of Ave Maria is a perfect note like no other. All of his notes are great and perfect, but this one note touches me the most, and I don't know why. There is some special vibration in it, I swear. It's weird, I don't get it. You might though. Also, his Ave Maria song version doesn't have ANY words. Lol. Yet, THAT version is the most powerful version I've ever heard. It connects.

That particular whistle note made me SEE her as Ariel-she threw me into the animated scene from “The Little Mermaid.” Ursula wants to steal her voice FOR A REASON…😊. Morissette makes me believe that Ariel truly came to life!! Hahahah!!

Hi Rene, Morissette actually stated in an interview that she is moving away from the whistle tone. Partly to stop the Mariah Carey comparisons but mostly to keep from having vocal issues later on in her career (like Mariah). She uses the whistle tone in recordings but no longer live. I saw her live in LA last year and she did not have a whistle tone in any of her songs…including Akin Ka Na Lang.
While Morissette's whistle tones are impressive, as are her powerful belts, I actually enjoy her quieter moments even more. That's when I can appreciate her low register, her dynamic range, and all the colors and timbres in her vocal pallette. It's extraordinary! So much nuance in her performance.
