Great shop and people how care thank you
I took my son here before Xmas and it is amazing. We live in Portsmouth so its a trek and a half!!! The guy that is doing the tour was brilliant with my son who is 3. He got him a stool so he could look at the working layout properly and gave us some great advice also. We bought some bits and bobs and a great second hand Hornby coach that my son loves on his layout. Its a really really great shop with great people and even better stock!!!
Looks great. Very well laid out and well organised. If I'm down in Wales soon, I'll be sure to visit👍

Hi Matt,
Great video, my regular store, always come away with hands full of goodies. Peter will order stuff in for you as well. Too much to see, whenever I go there I forget what I went in for because I get distracted by the vast choice. I'll have one of those and one of these and, oh, got to have one of them. Unfortunately, Peter's only too happy to indulge you and positively encourages you to spend, by pointing out anything you missed. Don't forget you need one of those aswell.

Love the shop i met them at the Fareham exhibition last year and made a visit last year to the shop. I met Peter the other other week very welcoming and had great advice and recommendations for what i needed. I would highly recommend the shop a d quality service the provide cheers quys
What a great store, looks like I will be paying a visit there, even it it's a 4 hrs round trip. Will combine with a day in Cardiff. Need to leave the wife in Cardiff 😉

The best shop ever i travel from Ireland to shop there . much better than shopping on line.
I miss shops like these in Australia. So few of them. Such a variety and well stocked. My ideal hobby shop. I could spend ages in places like that. Clint

Gosh what a lovely shop, well not really, it’s more like a super store!I wish we had something like this in Kent, really miss the just walk in browse and feel the products, and I know for a fact wouldn’t be leaving empty handed! and supporting places like this. 🤓

As others have said, a great shop and always a great welcome. I only found it by accident after making an order of track from an online retailer to build my then 2 yr old his first layout for Xmas and having some parts missing. Cue a panic trip down there on a Saturday afternoon. I now call in there whenever I'm in Cardiff, even the work van may or may not have visited the carpark! I've only bought a couple of new items there, but often buy a used loco or rolling stock for my son, he loves looking through the drawers to find something. If your lucky there may be an old Citroen outside that Peter is always happy to talk about. I look forward to all these lockdowns ending and the shop going back to its proper layout.

My local model shop and the best,Peter and Adrian have been on the ball with RaIlway modelling for years,so you will be in good hands if you visit them .Advice and guidance given with a smile and experience.

The best model retailer in Wales goes without saying. Excellent clips Peter; maybe next time open the cabinet doors to avoid too much reflection.

I've been there a couple of days ago what a Coincidence
plus I am a BIG fan of thomas the tank engine so the hornby is also nice to see there
I bought class 43 decoders and a sound fitted Hornby class 66 late one afternoon last week at what I thought were very reasonable prices. Being only my second ever visit I thought that the shop and the atmosphere were great. But I personally think that the website needs looking at because, in my opinion, it doesn't reflect how good a shop it really is..................Oh yeah, I should have mentioned that I only went there for the decoders.
Nice model shop, so many of my favourites have recently disappeared. How's the layout de-construction going?
It is a great shop, even though I don't model UK outline. Good for scenics and track (even Kato unitrack). I only ever have one gripe, whenever I go in for poly cement he seems to be out of stock lol
Did you end up buying anything from the shop and if so are you going to do a video showing what you brought.

Ho my Matthew when I wonder on how I was watching the old Jubbile Road which now sadly closed I did not amagine on what was in that shop and I can only think on when you step into the shop and realised I wish I had a bigger area to run my layout with not so many locomotives. James Joseph JJ Dyer

Alfie's Videos Penarth Road Cardiff about 2miles South West of CDF central, 10 minute walk from Grangetown station (on the Barry line) very much worth a visit.
People do not realise how hard it is to earn a living out of a retail shop now. It is virtually a constant struggle to turn a profit especially when potential purchasers always want the lowest price.
