Its because they love human environments so placing it over a tray of Pebbles and then filling with water . This will create a more humid environment for as the water evaporates it will create more humid environment and if you have more than one that also helps to group them and they will be a lot happier! Now when it comes to lighting I've noticed that if you want more flowers you must give it Bright Morning Sun and afternoon shade or medium lights indoors . Now most plants excluding succulents and cacti the brighter the light requirement this means the more water the plant will take because it's taking in all the sun light or light rays that we cant see to create photosynthesis to survive. And what is not taken up by the plant it is evaporated by the heat from light or sun rays. I I think that's an important detail most people tend to forget but I hope it helps thanks for sharing .
They also love ice cubes because they melt slowly rather than soaking all the water at once. I give mine 3-5 good size ice cubes a week (sometimes more depending on how dry the soil is).
I planted mine in coconut fiber like my mom used to do and hers were spectacular while my anthurium's leaves are turning yellow. I keep then in shade and water it once a week.
Donna plz see the post of M Rohan on Facebook where these plants are in small glases of water looking so beautiful. and made me follow on google n youtube. this might help you in experimenting with watet.
@@jillarmstrong1589 Trump grows the biggest and best plants. It’s really unbelievable. Believe me. People are saying it’s like nothing they’ve ever seen before. Bigly.
In early spring, provide no fertiliser and give it a little less water for six weeks to two months. Once the weather becomes warmer and sunnier, give it a little more water and start fertilising. By following this routine, your Anthurium will usually start producing new flowers fairly soon. This info might be helpful. :)
Hi, I purchased exactly the same plant at Lowe's in the red pot, the soil felt wet since I got it 2 weeks passed and still felt wet, I even hot it out of the pot, so I water it some, and now leaves are turning brown/black in random spots on the leave .Help here thanks
The best I can advise is first...let the plant dry out 1 or 2 inches on top before watering again. When you water, on a 4 inch pot for example only water 1/8 to 1/4 cup. Hopefully this will help. Any brown or yellow leaves will be lost. :)
It's weird about your watering tips. I live in a Hawaiian rain forest and these thing grow like weeds in my front yard. It rains pretty much every day here.
Tks for the video Donna. Pls let me know how to get those lovely glossy leaves on the anthurium. My plant is doing ok but leaves are dull. Pls do reply.
My red bloom died and a few of the leaves are turning brown on edges should I cut the dead bloom I do no it overwater ore overwater it has bright light but is not sunburburned. I feed about every two month with miracle grow for indoor plants. Any suggestions? Otherwise healthy does not need repotting and has now bugs well drainer. Please reply
The flowers do die back. I trim them when this happens. I only water mine approximately 1/4 cup water weekly. Any more than that and I believe it's too much. :)
I got mine at our local Sams Club ( I live in central Oklahoma ) about a week ago...$10 so I got a pink AND a red ... right now with Mother's Day you should be able to find one . Good luck
Shamaly Sana yes GOD is great. This came from the nursery with a leaf shine product on it. It's not best for the plant but u can get it at any plant nursery.
Anthuriums are picky about their environment, and issues like soggy soil or insufficient lighting can prevent them from blooming. Encourage your anthurium to bloom by providing lots of indirect sunlight, proper watering, high humidity, and weekly feeding with diluted phosphorus-rich fertilizer. Mine have new leaves. No blooms yet. :)
When you say hello when you say too much water or less water it’s not good how about when you have it in the jar with water all the time what happened it’s in the water
Hi, does anthurium suckers flower? Or do i have to wait for it to become mature enough to bloom? If so, how long does it take for an anthurium sucker to become mature and produce flowers??? Please reply
I have a red anthurium, and one of the red one, turned purple, I don’t how it happened, now I have red and purple beauty. Does anyone know how that happen.
I'm not positive but it appears to be a loss of pigmentation. It could be the beginning stage of the leaf in the process of dropping. That can take a while. 😊
they seam to like cold environment! i have one in my store and is always cold in there and she always has 4 or 5 blooms! and i water it 2 times a week.
It's because the plant is stressed, it naturally inhabits tropical rainforests where it's warm so now it believes it might be dying. This is why it flowers, because it wants to reproduce and pass on its genes before it dies.
I use a moisture meter and it is a game changer for all my houseplants 👍🏻
The Royal Family Ty for sharing. 😊

I just got one for Valentine’s Day, they grow so fast! Thanks for the tips
Anna Morlan with it being winter b sure to water lightly but don't let it get too dry. Lightly watering once a week should b fine.
I mist mine daily . It gets lots of sun and has about six blooms at the moment. I water it twice a week with ice cubes . It’s thriving !
How many ice cubes do you put? Thank you! 🌷
i left mine in the sun and watered it weekly. Leaves are turning brown already.
*do not ever use ice cubes!! Why would you do that?? Why? Do you think plants like cold water? Please don't do this anymore*

Great idea! These plants definitely don't like a lot of water. 😊
I've a lovely Flamingo Flower thriving in my garden by my front door.
Beautiful flowers greet my guests every day of the year!
Wow wonderful

This is one of the easiest plants care for. I only water mine every two weeks.
Mine is not doing well. I think it was President Donald Trump's fault.

Did you water it every 2 weeks in a 4 in pot? And how much water ? Half a bottle (16oz) which mean 8oz ?? Help
I was wondering why my Anthurium was turning yellow and brown when after I watered it. Thanks for the tips.
Give it some coffee grounds
They have leaf bracts whitemay be red yellow orange green being popular follages plants. Which are popular with cut flowers trade.
These r so pretty!
It's all about the soil it's in and whether or not the roots are happy. I would put the plants that aren't doing well into water culture.
Beautiful plant
These r so pretty
I have these...I water alot more than quarter a cup... mine do great....they also like to be misted
All plant leaves turn yellow from overwatering and brown from under watering. These are no different! 🤦♀️
They just need morning sun and water once a week
nice
Nice video... Thanks a lot...
Your plants leaves r so shining, plz tell me some tips
Nice.
Do I need to repot mine because I can see the roots coming out the bottom holes of my 4 inch pot . And it’s blooming very nice right now
I would definitely wait till spring especially with it blooming. That's amazing! :)

What kind of nutrients does it need? Does it like a lot of nitrogen for leaf growth if small?
What do you do for the leave to get that shine thank you
