    Just made an order, prices were reasonable and had a good variety. Thanks or the suggestion Ted!

    Sometimes I wonder how many catappa trees are being cut down to sell their botanics. I do myself have a biotope.

      Probably zero... the leaves and seed pods are a renewable resource. More will grow on live trees. Hardscape wood... that is a different story.

    Are the new lights aluminum flashing and led strips? When are you putting out the video? Thanks!

      yes.... probably still a month away from videos. We still have the rest of the room to light, and I am changing a few things. Once all the wiring and lights are finalized, I will make the videos.

    Hi Ted, how large of a gap do you leave in your glass tops for 30 gallon breeders?

    • @TedsFishroom
      @TedsFishroom  7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have read that Magnolia leaves can be used like Indian Almond leaves
    for betta fish tanks...is that true? and can Magnolia wood be used in
    tanks as well like driftwood?

    • @TedsFishroom
      @TedsFishroom  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Magnolia is a good tannin leaf so long as it is completely dry. I do not know about wood, but most deciduous woods are safe so long at they are also completely dry. If there are toxins they are likely to be found in the bark or cambium layers. Completely dead and dry wood should not have either.

      @@TedsFishroom Thank you so much! I have removed the bark of some magnolia wood and left it in the sun to dry out, I will do that with the leaves too

    are the pots you use for small fish caves/breeding open on other side? the ceramic ones.

    • @veaperl8795
      @veaperl8795 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The ceramic/ clay ones don't need to be open...it is breathable and made especially for breeding.
