I love our in floor heat in our utility room, it's a game changer! And thanks for the tour. All the times I've been at your place and I've only seen the milk house haha
My family is looking to build a new free stall barn. Can you give us a tour of yours, talking about your clear skylight walls and how you like it and what you'd change?
Thank you! Thanks for watching and commenting. We are happy with it and I don't think we would go any higher because adding a step would lose floor space.
Just curious what was the discoloration behind the gea vaccum on demand controller for the vaccum pump? Never seen that before on the wall behind them.
How many times a day does the milking system wash and does the whole system shut down to wash or each robot wash individually? Also do high producing cows naturally go thru and get milked more times a day than a lower producing cow?
@@billsauberlich7337 hello, The whole system washes twice a day. 2 a.m. and 2 p.m. It takes 30 minutes. Both robots shut down for this wash. They need to both shut down to completely wash all the milk lines going to the cooler. And yes, fresher high producing cows tend to go to the robot more often then others. But I do have the cows in 3 groups. High producers being allowed to milk every 5.5 hours and then a group that can go every 6.5 hours and then a group that can go every 9.5 hours. I adjust the groups as to what the cows are milking. Also the robot knows what cow is in what group.

Great idea!! I've been bugging Eddy to give a tour for a while so now that you've asked hopefully we will hop to it 😉
Hey Lauren, you guys have a beautiful operation all around!!
I'm curious, are you happy with the step up in your office or would you go higher?
Thank you! Thanks for watching and commenting. We are happy with it and I don't think we would go any higher because adding a step would lose floor space.
Ok, thanks for response
Hi I was wondering what the dimensions are of your milking barn and how many cows it currently handle
Could you not just caulk in between the white and black pipe to prevent the dirty water from spilling out?
It would be worth a try. It never dries as it blasts out frequently. But maybe I could figure something out.
Do you add peroxide to your milk house water? Could be causing the seeds on the chia to not grow. 🤷🏽♂️even water that is through a water softener.
We do add peroxide and have a softener.
Are you serious John? Lol
Not good for flowers. Guessing grass would be the same
Wow that's so interesting!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

It looks like some oil residue coming off the little fan that’s in that box on the wall. Getting blown up along wall.
You said you milk 65 cows currently. Do you plan to expand? I think 2 robots can handle more? I'm not sure how expansion works in Canada though.
Hello,
Yes, we figure we can handle 110 on the two robots. You can only grow slowly per year in Canada. So we will get there eventually.
