I know this video is 2 years old but thank you so much for the information!:) I have one of these plants and it's gotten tall/long!! There are little shoots popping up all over the bottom and I wanted to transplant them but wasn't exactly sure how.
Just pop them out with your hand and add them either in water or soil...it's easy.

Add blood and bone meal to all your props of any plant and I can promise you a significantly higher success rate of propagation.
It’ll be small chunks of grey slightly odorous material you just mix in with your dirt.
It’s used for superior roots, I use it in all my props and I have baby offshoots before they’re even 2 months in the pot.
I just propagated a spider plant with this method, three weeks in, it rooted down and gave me a spiderette.
This way you don’t have to worry about fertilization until we’ll after your plant is established and healthy.
Edit: when using the water method, his way is fine, but leaves so much room for rot. Grab a mason jar from your favourite marinade. Make some solid dinner with it.
Eat the dinner
Take the jar, wash it, remove all labelling for best light and observation.
Phillips head screwdriver, right through the pop top in the center, just big enough for the stem. Roll the edges down in the hole, place your stem, watch. Boom. Roots.
If you don’t have a jar, place plastic wrap over the top and secure it with a rubber band. If still too wobbly for your taste, stretch it out and add two to three more cuts of plastic wrap and secure with elastic. It will work much easier for you, and the process of transplanting is much easier and safer for the plant as you have to do virtually no handling whatsoever.
When it comes time to fertilize, go with a general purpose concentrate fertilizer added with water, the plants like this method way more than long release soils.

So my cat accidentally dropped another plant on this plant today so what happened was the mother's stem got lile cut from its bottom half sooo in my panic i decided to cut the 3 pups/branches it had and left the mother to regrow in its pot by digging and plopping it inside so that it can regrow.. so as for the babies for now im going to air dry them overnight and tomorrow ill put them in soil and hopefully they live and become very bushy and big also thanks for this wonderful tutorial! I have 1 in a water prop and the other 2 will go in a soil prop.
