I miss the camp. It’s so much fun regardless what level you are at. Just being on the mountain riding around and try some new things in the summer just so unreal and fun.

Any thoughts on the adult camp? I'm really considering going next year since it's the only adult summer snowboarding thing I can find (I live in CO but there aren't any here as far as I can tell). $3500 is a pretty hefty price tag though!

I was gonna roast, but I actually looked up the camp's history and see they were bought from Vans in '05. During the time Van's owned/operated the camp they treated locals so incredibly bad. I personally was evicted twice in Govy because of HCSC. Once, in 2002 they bought the house I was living in (with 6 other locals) and bulldozed it to make a 3 car parking lot and that lame beach volleyball court. (OT hut) The other time, in 2003, my lease on the birdhouse was coming to a close and HCSC got into a bidding war with us for rent. Needless to say 6 snowboard bums couldn't compete. Evicted again. I've hated HCSC ever since. If Tim partnered with them though, I'm sure things are different now aside from a massive amount of entitled kids treating everyone who lives there year round like they are sub-human. I'm glad a positive person like Corey is repping them though and hopefully leading the groms by example of how to treat others.
Yeahhhh, unfortunately with any group of humans when they work really hard to establish something together, it forms a weird sense of entitlement. Its almost like tribalism. But I have spent the past two summers doing my absolute best to shut that shit out, and lead by example to the groms in hopes they understand were ALL out here doing the same exact thing. Having fun, doing what we love... snowboarding,! And we all should be super grateful for that!! FTD!!
High Cascade was by far the most progressive week I've ever had snowboarding, thanks for being such a great coach Casey!
