You shoot your own foot when you alterat and compare Dr. Nkrumah' work to anyone. No matter what . The Republic of Ghana and independence Movement. He stood on his grounds one on one to liberate Ghana from the slave master. In writing history or writing books, you give credit to who credit is due. Disrespectful manner, psychophants backbiting and smoke talks. Thank you, Nana, Nyame, for schooling the public.

Napo didn't say that the late President Kwame Nkrumah couldn't do anything for Ghana. What Napo is telling us is that although the late Nkrumah did a lot for Ghana yet comparatively the current President Nana Addo has done more than what Nkrumah couldn't do..During the late Nkrumah's regime the population of Ghana was less than 8 million but today Nana Akuffo Addo is currently managing the economy of over 30 million. So comparatively the dependency load on the economic management of President Nana Addo is greater than the regime of the late President Kwame Nkrumah..Kwame Nkrumah started free Education only in the Northern sector of Ghana but today Free Education is free in all parts of Ghana. Nkrumah inherited good economy when the British handed political power to him.with huge sum of money. Nkrumah could have done so many things with such money. Ghana could have been like one those countries like South Corea and Singapore if the money he inherited from the British was wisely put into good use.but Nkrumah squandered all these money for political gains to become an African leader..That money could have built Ghana. The Railways sector has been improved by Nana Addo but Nkrumah did not even add one kilometre railway line to what the British left.Ghana With the Nkrumah's socialist ideological policies were the causes of Ghana's retarded economic growth. Whilst Nkrumah was aware that the Western Countries were developing rapidly with the capital ideologies he was with the socialist block.Today all the socialist countries have.the paths of capitalism even Russia. Today all state enterprises and institutions built by Nkrumah were all collapsed because the state couldn't sustain and manage them .All the Factories built by Nkrumah have been sold out and bought by His own party members the NDC at cheaper prices. Even though the late President Kwame Nkrumah worked for Ghana, comparatively the current President Nana Addo has exceedingly done valuable and greater things and he is worthy of praises

Awo, i applaud your honesty in acknowledging the good works of Dr Nkrumah but there are some exaggerations. I lived through his era but I did not see the free text books, stationery, tables and chairs you talked about. Those freebies were confined to the Northern Revion only. It should be noted that Nkrumah was bestowed with massive resources which were squandered through dinaations and giveaways to other African countries, including Guinea, Mali, Kenya, Ethiopia, etc. All these in the interest of self agrandizement and showmanship.

🙏🏽Truly, of all the leaders of the nation Ghana, and most in Africa and many in the world, Nkrumah stands tallest, biggest, largest among them. He is the "best of all time" (boat) and the "greatest of all time" (goat).
The woman's narrative about Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and his achievements is all very true and factual. It's only that she got some of the names, eras, regimes, places of incidents or events wrong. But that's understandable as she seems not have gone higher in formal education.
Now on the subject of free education, free text books, free stationery, free furniture for schools are all true and factual. Some of us saw it and experienced it. Some of us are very direct (or somehow indirect) beneficiaries of that "free-everything" at the primary and middle school education level.
In the late 1950s and the early 1960s when my elder siblings and I started primary education in govt schools we had everything fee-free; from free text-books to free stationery (pens, pencils, erasers, coloured crayons, sharpners, exercise books, school uniforms, school sandals, school furniture, etc.)
At that time, school tables and chairs from class four upwards used a combo of chair & table built together called "desk" which had storage space for books right beneath the desk-top. School was enjoyable in those days. These free education from primary school even carried on like that after his putsch (violent overthrow) from office in 1966 for a short while or couple of years before all that was finally stopped by the subsequent govts, notably or particularly the NLC (National Liberation Council) administration that removed Nkrumah from power and gave it to Kofi Abrefa Busia's government in September/October 1969 with Mr. Justice Edward Akufo-Addo (father of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo) as the ceremonial president, NOT elected president.
The Accra Experimental Primary School 1 (later or a.k.a. Accra New Town "ANT" 1) where most of my elder siblings and I attended as well as the former President John Mahama also was established by Osagyefo Dr. Nkrumah. Infact many govt Experimental primary schools were established by Nkrumah, but the first one in Accra is where my elder siblings and I abd also John Dramani Mahama attended.
Later John Mahama went to Achimota Primary School at Achimota before proceeding to the North to benefit more from the "free-everything" secondary education also established by Osagyefo Dr. Nkrumah. Even University education under Nkrumah’s regime was largely fee-free before subsequent govts removed all that free, free, free things in education.
Now, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was NOT self-seeking nor doing any showmanship thing neither pursuing self-aggrandizement agenda. The man sought the best for the country Ghana and indeed the best for all Africa, so that Africa could be totally emancipated and then be united to form one nation as the USA, UK, USSR, etc., etc., for he knew these nations were strong and powerful because they were united.
United States of America is a unification or unity of fifty states (or countries), United Kingdom is a unification or unity of four separate states (or countries, i.e. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland). These make up the UK or Great Britain. Then the USSR (Union of Soviet Socialists Republics), a unification or unity of individual republic nations or countries.
So Nkrumah started with the unification of Ghana, Guinea, Mali, then later arranged to bring in Congo to join the union. So he was gradually working it all out for African Unity before the American CIA, Britain and other imperialists and neo-colonialists agents in Ghana as Afrifa, Kotoka, Ankrah, Deku, Harlley, etc., and others abroad conspired/plotted and overthrew him from office which to a far greater and larger extent become the downfall of Ghana and messed up all Africa. Truly, #NND NKRUMAH NEVER DIES. His name, his achievements, his legacy ever lives on unmatched, unequalled, unchallenged, unrivalled and unsurpassed. May God bless our homeland Ghana and make our nation and continent Africa great and strong. Amen.🙏🏽 _Seth_KB_Dwira_
