- Fuerteventura has over 100 beaches and has some wonderful areas if you wish to explore. We spent the day searching for new fishing marks and decided to fish from a beach. I share what fishing regulations there are in Fuerteventura, the licence you require in the Canary Islands and how I brought my fishing tackle with me on our trip. We catch a monster fish from the beach and then celebrate in the local town our subscriber milestone of 300,000 subscribers at a local steak restaurant.

Congratulations John. I’ve been susbcribed a while and enjoy watching despite living about as far away from the coast as it is possible to be in the uk and not being a fisherman. Watching knowledgable people who are good at what they do is satisfying, be it fishing, welding, cooking, carpentry etc. Your experience skill and knowledge are so apparent, thank you for sharing it.

Huge Congrats on the 300K bro. However, you are saying your content is ' simple and honest' to us viewers it's FAR more than that. Yes we probably all jumped on board to watch you fish. But you took that to another level. You MAKE me want to do what you do, be it coastal foraging, fossil hunting, cooking with Jim, underwater filming, days with the family, out on the boat etc etc. It's all done with such warmth, passion, beautifully edited educational videos and love and respect for the Eco-system. Simple and honest with a genuine knowledge is the best combination, there's so many channels giving bad advice that clearly just in it for money and haven't a clue what they're talking about.

@@TheFishLocker It really means a lot that you reply to nobodies like me. I was born and raised on an island on the Maine coast, but my grandfather came over across the pond from Cornwall as a lad. I served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and came back to the island. We've all had to move off to the mainland because we can't afford to live there no more. Ah, well, it's the way she goes.
