While FNaF 3 was initially the game I used to argue for being the best FNaF game, I feel like I agree with you on 2 being the best the series has to offer. I feel like it has everything that makes the series iconic in one neat package. All the animatronics in the game I feel like became iconic to the series in some way, with many of the animatronic designs being appealing to the majority of the fanbase. The withered characters were creepy and their designs were in many ways a step up from FNaF 1, and the Toy characters were very appealing to look at. As you mentioned in this video, the minigames and lore reveals in this game set up so much for the series that I'd argue it was the most important for that reason. Back when this game released, the mysteries it proposed were easily the most interesting the series had to offer, with many of them like the Shadow animatronics never truly being solved. I also feel like content wise this game was phenomenal. The main 6 nights were very challenging on their own, and the custom night giving a reward in the form of a desk plushy for each challenge complete was a great incentive to complete each and every one. While I feel like nowadays FNaF 1 is my favorite game the series has to offer, I will definitely agree that FNaF 2 is the best, and if not the best then at least the most iconic game the series has to offer.
I'll say this: the three first games all have killer elements to them. When it comes to ambience, FNAF 1 is the best IMO. It just builds such an eerie, mysterious environment and pieces to a story that envelops the player in confusion and fear. FNAF 2 has the biggest amount of content and easter-eggs, creating a lot of intrigue for what is going on. FNAF 3 has a "side-quest" that gives the player agency and leads to perhaps the most satisfying ending there is (love FFPS's ending, but 3's just mixes contentment and sorrow so well, from the visuals to the soundtrack and the story being told, of the children's souls who are finally free from their metallic carcasses). FNAF 4 is also really great and has the most terrifying usage of sound and visuals in the series, but these first three just nail it. They're such great games I don't see how one could surpass the other.
I feel bad for any newcomers to the series who weren’t in the late 2014 era of the series. When this game’s trailer dropped, I swear it was like the only thing we could focus on till it released. It was a combination of both new and old, it introduced a massive chunk of important lore, and removed the safety of doors from the player. It was bold, and you can tell Scott had a lot of fun making the game. Easily the best in the series imo.
I personally have some friends who joined the fnaf scene after help wanted dropped and they could never understand why people loved the original 4 games so much
I became a fan in 2018. Although I'd say 2019-mid 2020 was an awesome time to be a FNaF fan, I do wish I could experience what it was like in it's prime.
exactly lol. FNAF now is nowhere near to what it was before, and quite frankly that's not so good in my opinion. as someone who was into the series back when FNAF 1 was out and FNAF 2 was announced, I can say that the first 3 had a certain quality, intrigue and design that the series struggles to keep up with now
I really like FNAF2 because of just how brutally difficult it is. To me, at least, I felt a wave of accomplishment of beating things like Night 6 and the bonus nights.
I kinda found it really easy because I figured out the strategy and then beat it quickly after. Night 6 only took me 20 minutes, and I’m gonna try to beat 10/20 soon. 10/20 is really just rng once you have the strategy down sadly.
I would argue that FNAF2 is even more iconic than the first one just because of its prevalence in meme culture with the introduction of Purple Guy and god knows the explosion of the FNAF ambient noise memes.
Tbh, hallway ambience was the only popular one and many people outside of franchise dont even know that it comes from fnaf, on the other hand, toreador despite being a classic piece is associated with fnaf only on internet, and when it comes to its been so long, fnaf 1 song is more popular despite the meme existing. Fnaf 2 was by no means as influential as fnaf 1, not even in meme culture, and when it comes to memes themselfes, the bite of 87 is probably the most popular one.
FNAF1 - Most Iconic FNAF2 - Most Lore and Difficulty FNAF3 - Most Story Expanding FNAF4 - Most Detailed and Scary FNAF5 (SL) - Most Unique FNAF6 (FFPS) - Most Closure FNAF7 (UCN) - Most Chaos FNAF8 (HW) - Most Revamped FNAF9 (SB) - Most Movement and World Building
Same, FNaF 2 has a special place in my heart for all the fun times we had when everyone was focused on the trailer, thinking it said "Mike is dead" when put on reversed, the trailer's music, the designs of the animatronic, everything was so amazing, I remember going into roblox games just to play it bc I didn't want to pay for FNaF back then, ah.. fun times. Though my favorite is FNaF 4 bc of the ambiance, the story and the way everything looks.
Really tiny nitpick but the puppet coming out of the box isn’t really a hidden secret, it happens when the music box runs out. It serves as a little bit of a buffer to give you a last chance to wind it back up before the puppet escapes. It is still pretty rare though because if the puppet does escape, you probably aren’t able to check the cameras to see it happen
This may be an unpopular opinion, but Sister Location has always been my favorite. FFPS is definitely a close second, story wise, but Sister Location just feels... right? I'm not 100 percent sure why, but it just does.
I like fnaf 5 the best because it's so unique, I also love how there's alot less repetition, it's also scary and to me it's really fun. It's also really scary
I can see why, however I personally don't like it too much because it started actually telling us lore. Although it is neat, I miss the days where there were only hints with no actual story, making people forge theories about everything. It's just a personal preference though.
@@cameron9484 i think this is an important thing to note that gets overlooked a lot. The first 3 games (and even 4 to an extent) had essentially two stories going on at the same time: the more direct and personal story of phone guy trying to maintain the integrity of the pizzeria, and the birds-eye view of the history of fazbears and what led to each tragedy. These work so well together because whether you’re casually running through the main game, or looking for every clue to piece the lore together, you’ll be getting enough engaging information. The former acts as a baseline and brings up questions that the latter answers. We know the phone guy knows more than the player but we don’t know how much more, and with the calls happening in real time we can accurately gauge if it feels like information is being kept a secret, or if the situation is something to worry about (i.e. fnaf 2 night 6). The latter seeks to provide new context and closure to whats given to the player in the main game. This is dropped a little in fnaf 4, but SL-onwards ditches that for a much more direct story; still sprinkled with secrets but spread around the main trail rather than away from it.
@@apairofglasses775 Just going off my preferences, I can see why one wouldn't like Sister Location. It has the weakest gameplay of the main titles by far. It's cool that every night offers something different. But the problem is that the game never builds on its gameplay mechanics. You're just whisked from one different style to another. It's like the game is on auto-pilot. If your main focus is the story, you probably won't mind that. But if you want gameplay, Sister Location is too flawed.
fnaf 5 had very forced portal humor which does not fit in a horror game also the game takes in average 30 minutes to complete and has absolutely no replayability 4/10 being very generous
FNaF 2 is one of the best games in the series, absolutely. The amount of new characters, adding to the lore, 8-Bit Minigames, more secrets, among other things. The only thing it lacks is the individuality of each Animstronic; It all comes down to put on your mask and react fast enough - _There's nothing more to do._ The only ones with an interesting mechanic are The Marionnette and Withered Foxy, with Toy Bonnie and BB trying to be distinct.
@@zs1171 Toy Bonnie takes his sweet ass time to actually go away. It's different from all of the others, but not too crazy, as you still have to do the same thing.
It’s hard to disagree with you, you explained your reasons well. FNAF 2 did everything a sequel was supposed to do, it expanded on the original in almost every way and left enough to build on, story-wise. It’s not as scary as the first game but the chaotic nature of it definitely makes it stressful, Jeremy may be the most badass security guard despite having no story relevance.
I think the early FNAF community had something special that no other community will have again, and that was cooperation on a mystery. We didn't know jack shit about what the series meant and we were left connecting random tidbits. Scott contributing to these tidbits with random stuff also made this community bond feel stronger, like we were finishing a puzzle. Now that we know more about the series and the background, that probably isn't coming back any time soon unless Steel Wool goes a different direction.
FNAF 2 honestly completely shaped horror right from its release. So many games have tried to replicate or have taken the building blocks and made other wonderful pieces of content. I always love the way you structure your points of view. Always clear and so put together. Even points that are completely taste based, you get your point out so well that I find myself wondering if maybe I need to change my taste cause you sound right!
FNaF 2 is easily still my favorite in the franchise to this day; it’s the first FNaF game I ever played, and the it’s the game that got me interested in the franchise. This game is so nostalgic to me- I have so many memories. I remember how everyone believed the suit that Afton used was Golden Freddy’s - that obviously changed after the release of FNaF 3, but it’s still nostalgic to remember old headcanons and theories.
My theory about the puppet is that somehow, it was able to enable the children to move around controlling the suits they were trapped in, and that William hid the children in the suits rather than the puppet.
Fantastic video! FNaF 3 is still my top pick, as I think it has the strongest gameplay (for instance: you interact with Springtrap instead of only reacting to him), but it's hard to deny how crucial 2 is as a foundation for all the following games. Before watching, I would have said FNaF 1 was the "keystone" or the most essential entry in the series, but you've laid out a real solid argument for 2 holding that distinction.
Sure you interact with Springtrap but frankly I don't think the gameplay is very strong. For a character as seemingly smart as Springtrap, he's actually very useless. As I always say about it, your biggest enemy in FNAF 3 isn't Springtrap, it's system errors. Remove system errors from the game, and bam you never lose because the maniacal serial killer William Afton is trapped in the corner of Cam 10 being fooled by blatant fake children audio tracks! Well actually that still happens anyways, the system errors only exist to help Springtrap because he on his own isn't capable of doing that
I also defend fnaf 3. I think it has thrilling gameplay and since its hard to find springtrap it often makes you devolve into constantly flickering between cameras. Phantom animatronics both attract springtrap to your office and cause you errors which you have to fix. The audio lure is also interesting. There's even mini games to achieve the good ending for the trilogy and even more lore building.
I can agree with most the opinions on here, I still love to play fnaf 2 when I got some time to kill. Fnaf 4 is my personal favorite because of the atmosphere, characters and mechanics but fnaf 2 is another great game and ranks in my top 3.
The Save Them minigame is such a chilling moment in the series. The "you can't" has such an insidious energy behind it, it reminds you that the killer is pure evil
FNaF 2 holds a special place in my heart. I remember watching the reveal trailer for the game the day it dropped within the hour with my childhood friend at his house. That trailer was so good and is by far my favorite trailer out of all FNaF games. Not only that but the demo released on my 10th birthday, with the full game releasing the day after. I love the audio of the game, especially the ambience noise, the atmosphere is so creepy in an uncanny sense, and the gameplay while a simple concept is much more fleshed out than FNaF 1 and has my favorite gameplay loop.
I 100% agree! I think the thing that is so perfect about the first 3 games was the horrific simplicity. There was no overly confusing lore, but it was confusing enough to get people talking it about. They were perfect and I am so glad I grew up with the original FNAF games.
yes! always agreed. for years now, FNAF2 easily remained my favourite game throughout. sister location definitely blew me away when it came out, but like you said, the replayability is lacking, even watching a gameplay and then playing it yourself suddenly made it feel boring
fnaf 2 is certainly and undeniably my second favourite, however sister location is undoubtedly the my best and my favourite. im aware that it received mixed reviews however in terms of lore, game play and the underrated fifth night its just the most solid and entertaining. that being said i agree with your reasoning for fnaf 2, its such a well made game that combines amazing gameplay with adrenaline. The adrenaline also helps with the satisfaction the player receives at the end and was a very good sequal to the first game
@@Ted_Bell2’s gameplay sucks, it’s mostly rng because toy Bonnie can just kill you whenever he wants to and you can’t do shit, if you don’t know how to do right vent camp then good luck doing 10/20, hell, good luck even knowing that blackouts cancel out foxy’s movement opportunities, it’s so bullshit on so many levels
FNaF2 was always my favorite just from how fun it was to play. So many things you had to keep track of, even though I later learned you don't have to check any camera other than 11 for the music box, there's still the front entrance, the two vents, and the music box, along with different animatronics that have different behaviors, such as wether or not they show up in the vent light or wether or not the mask works with them, etc.
i personally really enjoy fnaf 2 and fnaf 4, they were easily the most hard (fnaf 2) and scary (fnaf 4) fnaf games of all time. the rest are pretty ok to me but lack replay value to me.
I recently downloaded FNAF 2 after not playing it for 4 years. Let me start off by saying that FNAF 2 still has the best lore and secrets in the series. The gameplay is engaging and fun. Keeping watch of not 4, not 8, but 11 animatronics is truly a challenge. I remember not being able to get past night 6 because of how difficult it was
i remember when fnaf came out when i was going into fifth grade. i had no idea it was gonna be as big as it is now. me and my friends were obsessed with playing it on our iphone sixes and ipads lol. fnaf 2 was definitely my favorite when it came out
I don't have much of a perspective, because I got into this series very recently, and I only played 1 and I'm still playing 2 (trying to beat 10/20), but curently I'm really enjoying it, even though 10/20 is infinitely frustrating. Gameplay-wise, it isn't that much different, but FNaF 2 has more things to do with those custom night challanges which I really like. Anf 4/20 was a piece of cake honestly, this feels way more rewarding. So currently it's my favourite. But I still have many games left so it may change in the future
Looking back on the series now I can't help but wish the games ended on the trilogy like Scott Cawthon initially intended. Don't get me wrong, I've been pretty invested in the games that followed and the stories they told, but I can't help but feel like the atmosphere got lost in the details, a missing the forest for the trees sort of deal. It was really starting at Fnaf4 that lighthearted speculation turned into full blown toe counting and insesent 83 vs 87 debates and so on. That's the kind of things this video honestly made me realize, and on a objective level I have to agree that Fnaf 2 is what I think Fnaf is at its core more then any other game. Fnaf 3 is my favorite because of how it built on 2, and because I played the game the day it came out. I worked so hard to beat Night 6, which for me not being a super pro gamer or something was a big deal. So thanks for making this video, I think im gonna make my own now speculating on what Fnaf would be like if it was only 1-3.
I absolutely loved the jump in how many characters there were from fnaf 1 to 2. Like, having 2 sets of the original animatronics and the marionette and bb was crazy to me as a kid. I loved it so much. Still the main reason why it's my favorite fnaf game.
For me, my favorite game of the franchise has always switched between fnaf 1 and fnaf 2. I think Fnaf 2 out of the original series of games has the best utilization of gameplay and overall content, with still keeping a simplistic and classic vibe of the original with the visuals and characters, and it's also the first game in the franchise to really put lore at the forefront with the mini games. For me it's the quintessential Fnaf game, but there is a small edge for fnaf 1 for me, I just love the scaled down original and more eerie look and vibe the first game has
I like FNaF 2 for the ambiance, the building being in between sterile and grimey, the contrast of the toys and withers, just the general vibe of late fall early winter, just peak
FNaF 2 and FFPS are my personal favorites. FNaF 2 probably has the best lore in the whole series. It has a very dark atmosphere. FFPS had a lot of replayability in my opinion. The tycoon mode was very entertaining. I would feel so accomplished when I got a badge.
Fnaf 4 will always be my favorite i like how it was more audio based and it set you up for a jumpscare if you fail. I also like the 8 bit cutscenes between every night.
I personally think Pizza Sim is the best. It has almost as much difficulty as FNAF 2. Is easily has the most content (not including Steel Wool games and UCN). It doesn’t have one strategy that works every time like 1 and 2. It has a TON of lore, many endings (including the best in the series imo, until SB ruined it). I understand there’s not nostalgia value, but I feel it takes the best elements of all the previous games, adds to that, and makes it into 1 game.
One thing i noticed is how Pizzeria simulator basically remade the puppet’s death mini game from fnaf two. In my eyes, fnaf 2 sets up the basics of how the puppet gets possessed and pizzeria simulator gives the more niche details of how Charlie died and came back to possess the puppet
I remember how blown away I was when I first saw the FNaF 2 trailer, and the game just releasing earlier then we all thought, The secrets and just everything about this game I loved, no matter how difficult the game was. This will always be the best FNaF Game for me.
My favorite part of the series is the atmosphere. And FNaF1's atmosphere is *PERFECT.* So, I think the original game was the best. FnaF2 comes in at a somewhat close second. All the others are miles behind.
actually given the new information from both FNAF security breach and sister location, it can be safe to assume that fredbear's was not the only restaurant at the time, and wasn't the first. if we remember that FNAF 4 had the fredbear and friends cartoon, as well as sb, we can realize that there may have also been alternative sister locations, which is where the original 4 animatronics may have first originated as well. it's crazy to see how detailed and evolved the lore is now lol
The first game will always be the best to me, so simple yet so scary, its really the game you play for the terrfiing experience more then the memes and lore
Funny that the gameplay only gets a passing mention, because it's one of the main reasons I think FNAF2 is the best. It nails the horror and multitasking so well. You have plenty of easy small tasks and plenty to look for, anticipate and counter, and the horror comes from the fact that it's really hard to keep up with all that. A perfect mix of buildup and surprise scares. I also have a soft spot for Sister Location for its atmosphere and narrative, and FNAF1 and 3 are great too. FNAF4 is the scariest in my opinion, and it has a very strong narrative, but the gameplay is unfortunately so god awful it totally ruined it for me.
The story of FNAF 2 is what makes it the best, it doesn’t outright say it but you see how William Afton (who made his debut) killed his victims and afterwards you realize that it’s in 1987, before 1993 (The first game)
Honestly this video just made me super nostalgic. I was in high school when FNAF 2 came out and I remember getting so invested that I wrote a whole human AU for all the animatronics
Talked about every detail of the game besides the eccentric mechanics, I mean sure the lore was cool but what about having to only use mainly 1 camera or 3 tops for the music box & vent whilst rendering the rest almost useless. What about the visually png scanning mechanic where you have to wear a mask. The only unexpected jumpscare is the one of Foxy’s & even the alarm gives you a warning. This game without its lore would be a crappy boring scary-less game.
Pastra recently made a video on Chaos element for this game. I consider FNaF 2 the best game -Was my first game in FNaF -Bigger restaurant -More characters -Story implications FNaF 2 has so much cool stuff going for it, I can't help but admit the Purple Guy felt so out of place due to not fitting in, but that's just my view. I personally love this game so much and it really is something special to me. This was peak FNaF Great to see you making videos again
I still to this day believe FNAF 4 was one of the most perfectly-made games of all time. Literally had directional sound cues so you could tell who's coming and from where
For me i have always been super attached to the toy animatronics. Particularly Toy Chica, Mangle, The Puppet, and Toy Bonnie. Their designs are just so dang cool and creative! I love how the mystery of the game just was insane leading to its release and also stuff for years afterward. Literally just so fun for gameplay, character designs, the story… just everything omg
FNAF 2 could be worst in my opinion, Fnaf 2 has the worst ambiance, Not even scary animatronics stare at you for 1 second before getting the jumpscare and same unbeatble strategy works on every night!
FNAF 1 is the original, fresh new horror indie game with creative mechanics. Usually you're running around being chased, now you're in a room not being able to move anywhere. It got some interesting lore that kept the players guessing. Gameplay wise, the dilemma between safety and power running out is so thrilling that it kept you on your toes. Had some easter eggs (golden freddy) which had no extended meaning behind it at first, but was brought into the lore really well by Scott FNAF 2 is the one that sticks to my memories the most. Familiar older animatronics with new fresh additions to the gang as well. Scott did a very bold move of removing what was the only safety between us and the animatronics, the doors. But he did put in a few interesting mechanics as well (Freddy mask and the puppet box, the puppet box was like the pirate cove of FNAF 1, gotta keep an eye on it at all times forcing you to look into your cam). The amount of characters are just right, not too little, not to much. It gives more context to the lore as well, purple guy, golden freddy, the five kids and stuff. Tldr; the perfect balance of familiarity, novelty, and lore explanation FNAF 3, not my favorite one. Honestly at this point it feels like Scott was trying to come up with some new mechanics again. It worked, but not as well as the previous 2 imo. Plus don't get me started on the springtrap jumpscare. One of the weakest in the franchise. The hallucinations jumpscares are good tho, but getting repeatedly jumpscare throughout the game kinda defeates the purpose of the actual jumpscare itself maybe. FNAF 4, this one got completely new mechanics, some good ones at that. Relying on audio instead of visual this time. Really cool character designs as well. The atmosphere too, playing as a child in their bedroom instead of a security guard in a night watch is very cool. To me, this one completes the whole lore and story. This is where they should've ended the franchise. Later FNAF games, ngl I didn't follow the latter series of games, but I did see some gameplays online. Sister Location's character designs looks really damn weird. What kid likes those creepy looking animatronics. UCN has too many characters, the vibe is not even creepy anymore, they deliberately put in "cute" things n stuff. Oh and the jumpscares.. Let's just skip those.
Unpopular opinion, Fnaf 2 is just boring gameplay wise, the fnaf 2 mask just feels like a crappy rip-off replacement of doors, and the flashlight is just a little bit bland. Also the fact that almost all of the characters are countered with the hat feels repetitive and overrated
I would argue that pizzeria simulator has just as much cool secrets as the second one and has the best mini games of the series. That along with the unique gameplay having a piece of most of the previous games throughout the nights is also S tier. It ties up the main storyline in such a cool way too
Remember the good days? Remember when FNaF was scary and had a good story? When purple guy didn’t have an official name yet? When all the theorists played around with the lighting on Scott’s trailers to find secrets? When the games weren’t censored so much to appeal to children?
My favorite fnaf game is fnaf 4 idk I just really like the crying child story the nostalgia the sound effects like the bells the design of the animatronics it’s the scariest in my opinion even the small details on it are amazing I just love it so much
I love the gameplay of fnaf 2 so much. It’s quick, snappy, and tense with really small moments to catch your breath before throwing you back into the chaos. All of your actions feel like they connect it’s all just really fluid. I know people hate the amount of luck that the game has but I don’t think it’s that bad, and a fnaf game without any sort of luck factor would be pretty boring. I think fnaf 2 is peak fnaf gameplay besides fnaf vr.
Not that this matters too much, but my theory is that the purple guy in 'save them' is actually Michael trying to save the spirits trapped in the suits and the purple guy in 'foxy go go' is William.
I recently had a chat with a friend detailing why fnaf 2 was my favorite so this is surreal to see but I do have more or less the same view, I love fnaf 2 not only because of the more tense gameplay but with all the secrets content and characters that not only added to the gameplay but story. I feel this is were theories and such really peaked as well as fnaf in general though i do this game nailed the environment more so than the original really feeling like an old fashioned kids eating establishment but that's just me. This may be also a little biased but personally when fnaf is mentioned its the first and second games that come to mind first i remember so much fan content being made around this period honestly fnaf2 embodies everything that made the game and community what it is.
i really think fnaf 2 is not very good. it’s not replayable like id rather replay security breach than fnaf 2 because fnaf 2 is just the same thing for 80 percent of animationics it’s so boring
My favourite easter egg is the Bonnie paper pal and how it actually foreshadowed Springtrap Look at the single button, the crocked ears and the broken looking face compared to Freddy
I love fnaf 2 for the nostalgia, ideas and secrets But fnaf 2 is my second least favourite out of the original 4 games It has one major flaw It's just not scary Too bright, Too chaotic and the toys are just not creepy imo But everything else is great Fnaf 4 is my least favourite It's just so boringg And it took away what made fnaf so unique and put us in a generic spooky house Fnaf 1 is the best You just can't beat it It's the best gameplay wise and the atmosphere is Muah! Chefs kiss Fnaf 3 is my second favourite It feels so personal It's the opposite of fnaf 2 It feels like a true finale to every thing It's just you and the killer The monster who is responsible for this all The fact we only go up against springtrap easily makes springtrap the most scary character He feels more intelligent then the others He's alot more alive
i feel 4 is scary as hell because of the fact we have to monitor 4 locations without the help of a camera. Plus chicka and bonnie breathing is difficult to spot.
I totally agree. I feel like this game is so overlooked and people really forget how great this game was. First of all the amount of characters were ridiculous. Not only did you have to deal with the withered animatronics from the first game, but you also have to deal with the new sporty Toy animatronics. It kind of adds a competitive element to it too. With countless people I used to know arguing about which animatronics were better. The ogs or the newer flashy ones. This game also had some giant lore dumps with the mini games being added. Also the mechanics make this game so fresh. No doors, vents, the music box, and the mask. You have to constantly utilize those blends of mechanics creating what can be a really stressful experience on some of the harder nights. But all in all 10/10 would highly recommend.
Respectfully disagree since the gameplay itself can be seen very predictable and annoying. However, FNAF 2 had the most interesting secret mini games imo!
Can't agree more! Fnaf 2 had me floored. For me, it's the the peak of the series. I made a gamemode in Minecraft based on Fnaf 2, and have core memories of how much theorizing, animations, songs, art, etc. came out at this time. Fnaf 2 raised the stakes and added great additions without seeming out of place. It's my favorite Fnaf, and if they wanted to capture the magic again, I think looking back at this game would be a great start.
i'm partial to fnaf 4, because i vividly remember trying to play it and being scared shitless. and (contrary to most) i actually like the nightmare designs. they are overblown and silly but that's what makes them great, it's exactly how a child would imagine a scary monster. but fnaf 2 is soooo iconic. so many characters and concept were born from fnaf 2, it truly introduced us to the story behind it all. with great characters and a fun gameplay too
While FNaF 3 was initially the game I used to argue for being the best FNaF game, I feel like I agree with you on 2 being the best the series has to offer.
I agree with this take :)
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Crossover comment moment.
"and the Toy characters were very appealing to look at."
I wonder which one.
I personally have some friends who joined the fnaf scene after help wanted dropped and they could never understand why people loved the original 4 games so much
I started to be a member of the fnaf community in 2017, i really wanted know this game in 2014, but in 2014 i was about as 5 or 6 years old ;-;
I became a fan in 2018. Although I'd say 2019-mid 2020 was an awesome time to be a FNaF fan, I do wish I could experience what it was like in it's prime.
exactly lol. FNAF now is nowhere near to what it was before, and quite frankly that's not so good in my opinion. as someone who was into the series back when FNAF 1 was out and FNAF 2 was announced, I can say that the first 3 had a certain quality, intrigue and design that the series struggles to keep up with now
@@blyat8832 I couldn't say that better
I really like FNAF2 because of just how brutally difficult it is. To me, at least, I felt a wave of accomplishment of beating things like Night 6 and the bonus nights.
yeah I audibly screeched when I completed it. so many failed attempts
I kinda found it really easy because I figured out the strategy and then beat it quickly after. Night 6 only took me 20 minutes, and I’m gonna try to beat 10/20 soon. 10/20 is really just rng once you have the strategy down sadly.
Same way for me
for me fnaf 1 was harder
UCN is still harder
I would argue that FNAF2 is even more iconic than the first one just because of its prevalence in meme culture with the introduction of Purple Guy and god knows the explosion of the FNAF ambient noise memes.
Definitely
the fnaf ambience isnt a meme for me because back then i had it stuck in my head for like a week

@@multieyedkitten A long time ago, I played Fnaf 4 I beat only 3 Nights cause it took a few jumpscares for me to give up
Really tiny nitpick but the puppet coming out of the box isn’t really a hidden secret, it happens when the music box runs out.
I like sister location too, but I really wish Baby was on custom night as an enemy instead of stupid electrobab
Same here it's really good
Agreed, I loved the humor and the futuristic vibe
i really like the character design of sister location, some of it is kind of uncanny valley but it works really well
@@Heebeej the only thing I dont like about fnaf3 is springtraps jumpscare, it's so boring
Never in my life have I heard anyone address Sister Location as just "fnaf 5"
FNaF 2 is one of the best games in the series, absolutely.
The amount of new characters, adding to the lore, 8-Bit Minigames, more secrets, among other things.
The only thing it lacks is the individuality of each Animstronic; It all comes down to put on your mask and react fast enough - _There's nothing more to do._ The only ones with an interesting mechanic are The Marionnette and Withered Foxy, with Toy Bonnie and BB trying to be distinct.

So true.
Yeah I agree
Well actually that still happens anyways, the system errors only exist to help Springtrap because he on his own isn't capable of doing that
Lol no. 3 is too easy. Mini games are more interesting then boring trap playing musical chairs. Game was beaten without using the console.
@@Ted_BellTOO EASY? I STRUGGLE WITH IT.
I agree Fnaf 2 is definitely my favorite game of the series! I recently replayed it and it holds up really well
fnaf 2 is certainly and undeniably my second favourite, however sister location is undoubtedly the my best and my favourite. im aware that it received mixed reviews however in terms of lore, game play and the underrated fifth night its just the most solid and entertaining. that being said i agree with your reasoning for fnaf 2, its such a well made game that combines amazing gameplay with adrenaline. The adrenaline also helps with the satisfaction the player receives at the end and was a very good sequal to the first game

I miss being a kid loving fnaf, fnaf 2 has always been my favourite just for the visuals and I think its where the fnaf lore had officially begun
I like the multitasking aspect of fnaf 2. It keeps the gameplay fresh and replay able
don’t forget the post round scenes where you’re watching as the point of view of freddy on stage
FNAF 2 is set in the summer, phone guy says 'Welcome to your new summer job at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.
fnaf 4 ambience is scary
especially the bells they make me so uncomfy
FNaF 2 and FFPS are my personal favorites. FNaF 2 probably has the best lore in the whole series. It has a very dark atmosphere.
FFPS had a lot of replayability in my opinion. The tycoon mode was very entertaining. I would feel so accomplished when I got a badge.
I prefer fnaf 6 tbh
It was a great climax and resolution to the series finishing everything
100% agree, pizza sim incredibly underrated
Pizza sim supremacy, best ending eva
I miss the FNaF community in 2014 because of all the theories people used to come up with
One thing i noticed is how Pizzeria simulator basically remade the puppet’s death mini game from fnaf two.
'this game's purple guy, and the *puppet* " now we could get along
My favorite part of the series is the atmosphere. And FNaF1's atmosphere is *PERFECT.* So, I think the original game was the best.
FnaF2 comes in at a somewhat close second.
All the others are miles behind.
Game review:
Lore and details: ✅
Gameplay and mechanics: ❌
*The Puppet in a nutshell*
actually given the new information from both FNAF security breach and sister location, it can be safe to assume that fredbear's was not the only restaurant at the time, and wasn't the first. if we remember that FNAF 4 had the fredbear and friends cartoon, as well as sb, we can realize that there may have also been alternative sister locations, which is where the original 4 animatronics may have first originated as well.
it's crazy to see how detailed and evolved the lore is now lol
I love the Gameplay of Fnaf two in later nights it’s very fast pace and I really like it good vid
The first game will always be the best to me, so simple yet so scary, its really the game you play for the terrfiing experience more then the memes and lore
*FOR ME I LOVE UCN,SISTER LOCATION,FNAF 3 ,FNAF 6 AND SECURITY BREACH*
This game is what solidified FNAF in our minds and began the story fully.
The story of FNAF 2 is what makes it the best, it doesn’t outright say it but you see how William Afton (who made his debut) killed his victims and afterwards you realize that it’s in 1987, before 1993 (The first game)
Shadow Freddy isn’t rare if all the withered animatronics are outside the room there’s a 1/10 chance
FNAF 2 was my favorite game in the series ever since I became a fan and always will be forever.😍❤️
This game without its lore would be a crappy boring scary-less game.
i remember talking about fnaf 2 in 5th grade a couple months after it came out. i turned 18 this year :’)
Pastra recently made a video on Chaos element for this game.
I consider FNaF 2 the best game
-Was my first game in FNaF
-Bigger restaurant
-More characters
-Story implications
FNaF 2 has so much cool stuff going for it, I can't help but admit the Purple Guy felt so out of place due to not fitting in, but that's just my view. I personally love this game so much and it really is something special to me. This was peak FNaF

I still to this day believe FNAF 4 was one of the most perfectly-made games of all time. Literally had directional sound cues so you could tell who's coming and from where
I still want Fnaf pizzeria simulator tycoon that Scott promised us even tho UCN had won the votes.
7:06 I got the Foxy screen in my last playthru of the game and didnt know it existed, and it scared the fuck out of me lol.
FNAF 2 could be worst in my opinion, Fnaf 2 has the worst ambiance, Not even scary animatronics stare at you for 1 second before getting the jumpscare and same unbeatble strategy works on every night!
Fnaf 1 freaks me out, like i cannot look at it without getting chills
To me I think fnaf 2 is the 2nd best game in the franchise. Only being beaten by fnaf pizzeria simulator.
pizza sim sl and ucn are the. most lore heavy fnafs
@@kdkat2515 true. But ucn doesn’t THAT much lore. It’s really simple. Golden Freddy traps their killer to fight against past animactronics
Had some easter eggs (golden freddy) which had no extended meaning behind it at first, but was brought into the lore really well by Scott
FNAF 2 is the one that sticks to my memories the most. Tldr; the perfect balance of familiarity, novelty, and lore explanation
FNAF 3, not my favorite one.
UCN is a strategy game, it's not supposed to be scary at all
Unpopular opinion, Fnaf 2 is just boring gameplay wise, the fnaf 2 mask just feels like a crappy rip-off replacement of doors, and the flashlight is just a little bit bland. Also the fact that almost all of the characters are countered with the hat feels repetitive and overrated
Ture
I would argue that pizzeria simulator has just as much cool secrets as the second one and has the best mini games of the series. That along with the unique gameplay having a piece of most of the previous games throughout the nights is also S tier. It ties up the main storyline in such a cool way too
Remember the good days? Remember when FNaF was scary and had a good story? When purple guy didn’t have an official name yet? When all the theorists played around with the lighting on Scott’s trailers to find secrets? When the games weren’t censored so much to appeal to children?
What are your thoughts on the franchise 2 years later?
Yooo, welcome back man!!! Glad to see you’re back to uploading!
Fnaf 2 has a boring and repetitive gameplay loop due to the low mechanical depth and diversity
FINALLY someone who agrees with me. But, every game has a repetitive gameplay tho... except for Fnaf SL and FFPS
My favorite fnaf game is fnaf 4 idk I just really like the crying child story the nostalgia the sound effects like the bells the design of the animatronics it’s the scariest in my opinion even the small details on it are amazing I just love it so much
fnaf 1 2 and 6 are my favorite
I love the gameplay of fnaf 2 so much. It’s quick, snappy, and tense with really small moments to catch your breath before throwing you back into the chaos. All of your actions feel like they connect it’s all just really fluid. I know people hate the amount of luck that the game has but I don’t think it’s that bad, and a fnaf game without any sort of luck factor would be pretty boring. I think fnaf 2 is peak fnaf gameplay besides fnaf vr.
Sister Location has no RNG, by far the best and balanced custom night
Not that this matters too much, but my theory is that the purple guy in 'save them' is actually Michael trying to save the spirits trapped in the suits and the purple guy in 'foxy go go' is William.
It’s not Michael that was confirmed willaim years ago
@@imagine040 I know I just thought it was interesting how it worked out
I recently had a chat with a friend detailing why fnaf 2 was my favorite so this is surreal to see but I do have more or less the same view, I love fnaf 2 not only because of the more tense gameplay but with all the secrets content and characters that not only added to the gameplay but story.
The puppet peering out of the box looks so realistic, it freaks me out😭
That’s a funny way to spell Pizzeria Sim
My favourite easter egg is the Bonnie paper pal and how it actually foreshadowed Springtrap
Look at the single button, the crocked ears and the broken looking face compared to Freddy
I love fnaf 2 for the nostalgia, ideas and secrets
But fnaf 2 is my second least favourite out of the original 4 games
It has one major flaw
It's just not scary
Too bright, Too chaotic and the toys are just not creepy imo
But everything else is great
Fnaf 4 is my least favourite
It's just so boringg
And it took away what made fnaf so unique and put us in a generic spooky house
Fnaf 1 is the best
You just can't beat it
It's the best gameplay wise and the atmosphere is Muah! Chefs kiss
Fnaf 3 is my second favourite
It feels so personal
It's the opposite of fnaf 2
It feels like a true finale to every thing
It's just you and the killer
The monster who is responsible for this all
The fact we only go up against springtrap easily makes springtrap the most scary character
He feels more intelligent then the others
He's alot more alive
i feel 4 is scary as hell because of the fact we have to monitor 4 locations without the help of a camera. Plus chicka and bonnie breathing is difficult to spot.

...let's see if it's bait.
Yeah FNAF 2 is the best of the series hands down. There is just so much to enjoy about it and I think you hit everything.
5:32 Shadow Bonnie spawn rate is 1 in 10,000.

Respectfully disagree since the gameplay itself can be seen very predictable and annoying. However, FNAF 2 had the most interesting secret mini games imo!
My favorite is fnaf 4❤ it has really good story and it’s like unique game
no
FNaF World gang
scott isnt giving us enough information, lets give him a controlled shock to motivate him
i like FNAF 2 cuz toy chica is hot
same
The old fanf 2 song was something else’s 🥺
For me it's still April 1st so I was expecting this to be a joke lmao
Can't agree more! Fnaf 2 had me floored. For me, it's the the peak of the series. I made a gamemode in Minecraft based on Fnaf 2, and have core memories of how much theorizing, animations, songs, art, etc. came out at this time. Fnaf 2 raised the stakes and added great additions without seeming out of place. It's my favorite Fnaf, and if they wanted to capture the magic again, I think looking back at this game would be a great start.
FNAF 2 is so horribly overrated its wild
i love winding the music box
Fnaf 3 better
Nah
i'm partial to fnaf 4, because i vividly remember trying to play it and being scared shitless. and (contrary to most) i actually like the nightmare designs. they are overblown and silly but that's what makes them great, it's exactly how a child would imagine a scary monster. but fnaf 2 is soooo iconic. so many characters and concept were born from fnaf 2, it truly introduced us to the story behind it all. with great characters and a fun gameplay too
