Diphylleia Grayi is a masterpiece that makes me both a shawol and jonghyun's fan. SHINee members are exceptional singer and when they become soloist they're astronomical, but Jonghyun is still my favorite SHINee soloist. His level of artistry is just so rare in kpop.
He really does stand out so much in the sea of talented idols. He just has a quality and emotion to his singing that’s so rare to see. I hope you’re able to do the rest of his discography. Every album is a gift!
very late response but don't worry, i'll make sure he gets to all of jjong and the rest of shinee's work eventually :D i make sure he always has at least one shinee and/or shinee soloist album present in his patreon album of the week polls
He was such a remarkably talented man. He stood out to me when i started following Shinee in 2009. They were all amazing, but he had a special glow to me, that probably doesnt make sense, but thats what made me follow everything he did solo. Music lost so much with his passing.
Diphylleia Grayi is that jonghyun song for me. I love his Story op series, all the songs he'd written based on inspiration he got from listening to stories that listeners sent in on his midnight radio show. Please react to Story Op 2!!!
Live performances of Diphylleia grayi and I'm sorry are absolutely stunning amazing speechless emotional and my everything. Maybe tomorrow live version - lovelovelove it, Jonghyun is so soft and full of warmth. I love him so much, i have no words to describe😅💜💜💜
I’ve always been a mood listener. i like songs that evoke emotions in me and I think that’s what makes me love Jonghyun as an artist. Cause all of his songs really are just well written and very well produced. The way his voice, the lyrics, the instruments, melody and just everything blends together… it makes you feel - very close to your emotions. For me, It always feels like a spiritual (not in a religious way but more like self journey) journey listening to Jonghyun’s creations
Thank you for taking the time to react to Jonghyun's solo work - this makes me so happy . I think often reactors often miss the true depth of his musical talents by skipping his full discography. 👏❤️
I discovered Jonghyun two years ago (and through him Shinee), and he completely changed my understanding of what a singer, a musician, an artist can be. At this point I think he owns more of my soul than I do myself. Imo, Diphylleia Grayii is one of his masterpieces. Haunting and otherworldly and unlike anything else. (I've read that he couldn't listen to it if he was sad; he didn't know whether it was the lyrics or the music itself, but it would only make him sadder.)
no one understand how wonderful and amazing 'Diphylleia Grayi' is to me. it's 1 of his masterpieces that i love, love so much no words can express. it's so heart-breaking but at the same time incredibly beautiful, like, eventhough my heart clenches everytime listening to it but i just can't help myself falling deeper for it every single time. every breaths he takes, every notes he hits, the way his voice changes from 1 second to another, the emotions he puts in. Jonghyun was, is and forever will be the greatest artist ever.
Diphylleia Grayi is such an amazing song, and probably his most haunting along with Elevator from Story Op.2. As others mentioned there are many other great songs like Let Me Out from Story Op.2, the "space trilogy" and Cocktail from She Is, and The Only One you Need from Poet/Artist. Of course, there really isn't a bad song in his discography, so entire album reactions are worthwhile. The best quote I've ever heard applied to Jonghyun ... "What is a poet? An unhappy man who hides deep anguish in his heart, but whose lips are so formed that when the sigh and cry pass through them, it sounds like lovely music." - Soren Kierkegaard
*adds to watch later* Jonghyun is such a beautiful artist, singer, soul. He's music means so much to me & I'll have to wait to be in my right space for what i know will be a truly enjoyable reaction. 🖤🥀
Album of the week, of the month, of the year, of the century ❤ All Jjong's albums are hauntingly beautiful! My beloved songs are Diphylleia Grail, Fine, 2:34 and Maybe Tomorrow Only Jonghyun's songs can give me that feeling of cosiness as if i'm listening to my old friend, not a kpop idol 😊
Jonghyun wrote every one of his albums. From the songs to the music to the production of everything. He is the only person from sm that did energy from start to finish.
This album is close to my heart. There are so many songs on it that are very important to me. I miss him so much 😭 The song diphylleia grayi and I'm sorry makes me can't stop crying 😭 I wish you would do a reaction to the song Let Me Out. This is a song about his depression that he had and which made him commit suicide 💔 In this song Jonghyun asked for help but no one did 😭 And that's so sad 😭
Jonghyun wrote skeleton flower to reflect what those with depression suffer in a daily basis. Like the flower that turns transparent when wet. Those with depression hide their emotional scars inside while smiling around and being happy go lucky so it goes unnoticed. And is only seen when the person can no longer bare it as the petals of the flower are seen when dry. Check out his only novel of the same name. There is an English translation of it in the fanfic website archive of our own. A shawol translated it to english. It's actually a romance novel which begins with the main character breaking up and going their separate ways. Jonghyun is also in the book as apart of the story.

💯 with you on this. He's irreplaceable.
Jonghyun comes on the radio, WE TURN THAT MUSIC ALL THE WAY UP

Jonghyun's "she is" is one of my favourite albums of all time!

I clicked on this video so fast. I love when people take interest in Jjong's songs outside of the ones with MVs
