Halacandra, Magolor’s home planet faced an environmental disaster that awakened the wrathful deity and ravaged the world as penance for the irreversible damage that Magolor’s people has caused to it’s (not their’s, the Master Crown’s) world for the sake of greed and a drive for technological advancement which would explain Magolor’s greedy personality and penchant for industrialism such as with his theme park MagoLand. This would also explain why Magolor wanted the Master Crown from Landia in the first place, not for a simple lust for power but to use the deity’s power against it to avenge his people, only to end up falling to the deity’s influence.
I'm gonna guess this is a head canon as the game says completely otherwise on everything pretty much. Magolor literally reveals in the remake that Halcandra isn't actually his home, he just loves the place.
