I don't understand why everyone is getting down on this girl. How can you compare a highschool student to a professional vocalist? Yeah, maybe some parts were flat or slightly off key, but overall, I think she was fine and I give her a lot of credit to get up on stage and belt out a professional masterpiece. Good on her.
For a High School band / orchestra, this is an amazing performance, minor faults and all, well played, well performed, a great cover of my Favourite Band, Matthew Bellamy would be proud , I think...
These kids lived out my dream by playing this in their HIGH SCHOOL BAND! I tried so hard for a piece from the Halo games and never even got that :( This must've been so exciting to play
Thank you. Thank you. Thsnk you. This is my very favorite piece by my vary favorite band. You all deserve a metal for allowing us to experience your performance. Just brilliant.
I'm glad everyone is tearing into my best friend, who was 15 at the time. She was one of like two freshmen in the whole orchestra and probably really scared
The singer has some guts, pretty amazing to me. As for the strings there are tuning issues all throughout overture. Besides that, a wonderful performance.
Of course they needed a girl to cover Matt Bellamy's range! Plus, it took two people to imitate him - one for vocals and one for guitar. Taking everything into account, this is actually not bad! I mean, it's a high school orchestra, and they're fairly well in tune! The conductor has the funky rockstar pointing going on (no way is that cuing.) Probably my biggest disappointment is the vocalist, not so much in her technique, but in the sense that she doesn't feel the music AT ALL. I'm not sure it's her technical stuff, I think she just feels like a sore thumb. Does she listen to Muse?
Hi! I'm the original arranger of this piece for this orchestra and the guitarist in the video. Not only are the vocalist and I huge Muse fans that listened heavily, we both spent hours and hours practicing our parts and refining technique, dynamics, and style to try and capture the feeling of the original piece. I'm sure if you've ever been on stage you know how nerve-wracking it can be, no matter how much you practice. We both felt the music in the moment, but were also extremely nervous and just trying to perform the best we could. I honestly think we killed it in part 1. Part 3 was a bit more of a struggle overall, we weren't even sure it would be performed at first and did not get nearly as much time practicing it. You can tell when the vocalist tried to let me take the melody in part 3 that I definitely dropped the ball completely. We both love Muse and are very passionate about music! I'd just ask next time you see someone go out on stage and belt an incredibly difficult piece, please give them some more grace. :)
So so cool to see! And guys, even if it wasn't perfect, in no way can you compare a high school orchestra to Muse (this is coming from me, a musician myself). Overall it was good, and I'm just happy to see someone performing a piece from one of my favorite bands. Thanks for sharing!
Oooh. I was like "why are people commenting on the vocals so much", then I got to "it's our last chaaaaaaaaaaance". I mean, I couldn't sing any of it, but that was rough.
Not saying the vocalist is bad or anything. Comparing a high school vocalist to Matt Bellamy’s like comparing a high school footballer to Mohammed Salah, she was actually really good on Overture in my opinion! But on Redemption she just needs a bit more emotion, a bit more airiness, and it’d be perfect! Also the drums, ohhh the drums on Redemption!!!!!! They needed to be like the song!!!! The emotion isn’t there without the proper drum part, it just kills the whole atmosphere of the song. Overall, Overture was amazing! But Redemption just didn’t “redeem” itself (ahhh...sorry.)
We had a lot less time overall to practice Redemption, and I (the guitarist) was supposed to sing more during Redemption, which is why some of the vocal is missing. Considering the amount of time we had on that part, it was pretty decent. :)
all good, but overture they played it very fast and the voice did not inton ... Then, Redemption was good until the strings entered they played slow ... I did not like it especially because of the voice that did not intonation
This should be sung by a dude not a girl. Girls voices are too noisy on high notes. I think she doesn’t know the song properly it’s not about her voice it’s the way she’s signing it. It’s she’s learning the song now. Same goes with the Indian pianist is she playing it for the first time ?
Long time Muse fan here; you guys absolutely rocked. Amazing. Well done. Well done indeed. Absolutely brilliant.

Like she’s a great singer, it’s just y’know...KINDA HARD TO SING EXACTLY LIKE MATTHEW FUCKING BELLAMY.
For a High School band / orchestra, this is an amazing performance, minor faults and all, well played, well performed, a great cover of my Favourite Band, Matthew Bellamy would be proud , I think...
People it’s high school haha, who cares if the singer isn’t as talented as Matt Bellamy, almost no one is and once again it’s a HIGH SCHOOL ORCHESTRA
These kids lived out my dream by playing this in their HIGH SCHOOL BAND! I tried so hard for a piece from the Halo games and never even got that :( This must've been so exciting to play
This makes me miss playing the violin!! Love watching orchestras and that girl did a great job! Matt’s vocals are so difficult so kudos to her!
The third part was amazingly good... Fantastic job you lived my dream plating this with an orchestra
Thank you. Thank you. Thsnk you. This is my very favorite piece by my vary favorite band. You all deserve a metal for allowing us to experience your performance. Just brilliant.

Dibbles DiBlasi I’m glad too
It sounds amazing
The singer did amazingly, can’t imagine how hard this is to sing
This is great, best muse cover ever x
Thank you for this moment JMHSPO!
The piano was just... Great piece guys :')
well done! this song is like vocal gymnastics !
Muse are on another level to any other band today
Great guitar tone, man!!
Learnt part 3 on the piano at a young age something I’ll never forget
This is fantastic
Nothing is wrong with the singing, just her pace
I love it sooooo much
is it just me, or the tempo is faster than the original?

great cover!
Genial!

That's a very nice guitar

@@Arcashine y'all did incredible. I'm just jealous of the opportunity you had!
Bravo!
Wonderful! Would you share the arrangement ? ^^
You can find the arrangement here: www.noteflight.com/scores/view/0ff3862fd2812c025dd93cbba325271c11933073
Bravo guys, ignore the naysayers. You guys sounded incredible and the piece sounded as epic as Muse intended it to be!
OMG, nice performance, have a little flaws here and there, but as an amateur already incredible ❤️❤️
Guitar and drums were fucking amazing
really ? the drummer play bad :c
Congrats 👌
That singer fucked it up the whole thing 🤦🏻♂️
No offense but the girl singed with no feelings that was cold.
Honestly the volume is the only thing I can say was off about the singer. She's clearly got skills
I liked it :)
The drums :(
I don't know if it's just the recording but the drums sound bad, not as in the person playing is doing it wrong, but the set they have is awful
Great
The guy on the guitar is fuckin lit
The band should’ve listened to the album at least once before trying to replicate it. Part III especially. Yikes.
X2
less robot, more emotion. great though👍
I would have liked this so much more with maybe a different vocalist... I know this is a high school band, but eegh...
Needs a male vocalist
Samantha Maria I could've been the perfect choice 😭
VEGA4554 O O F
Prince William on the drums!!!
strings are excellent. singing is horrible
all good, but overture they played it very fast and the voice did not inton ... Then, Redemption was good until the strings entered they played slow ... I did not like it especially because of the voice that did not intonation
The orchesta was amazing but no the singer, she's not showed passion in the song, with better singer it could be fenomenal!
dude its a high school performance

it's 12 years old man they did kick her out it's called graduation
ouch
messed
The singing needs work and maybe a male lead
OMG SO OUT OF TUNE
Out of tempo & bad singer = bad cover.
Bruno Javier Farfal Reyes like you could do any better
🤮 the voice ...
50/50
The third part was amazingly good... Fantastic job you lived my dream plating this with an orchestra
