Congratuwelldone from Australia, my dude. Really been enjoying the coverage and the simulated 'live' feel of it. Something that I think could be fun in the future, when you're more equipped to do it, maybe have a few after-game casual interviews with the players. Nothing too formal, just a, "How do you feel after that, anything you think you should have done differently, etc" questions, and maybe a highlight of local gaming stores you visit in the process? Anyway, keep up the good work.

I think that is an excellent idea. As for the local gaming stores, did you mean for me to ask the players about their stores, or were you referring to this being something separate from the player interviews?
@@NextGenGamingSC Sorry, separate thing. If you go around to some LGS showdowns for footage, maybe also do a little highlight of the gaming store itself just to support the local business scene, or if you're in a bigger city for a con, maybe do a little highlight of the local gaming stores in the area that support SWU.
Although asking the players about their local store isn't a bad idea either, give them a chance to shout out their usual community.

@@NextGenGamingSC Yep, could definitely be like that. A shot of the storefront outside, and quick glance around at the shop itself and the play area, a quick shot of the staff, a mention of what nights they run SWU, and maybe a link to their website or main social media site. Mostly just spitballing here, haha.

You're one of the best out there. Feel like you should get hired by Asmodee to do commentate on official events and be in their videos. Genuinely curious what you're experience is, feels like you've been commentating for years, and could easily see you doing well in sports or E-gaming.

I would love to do commentary for the official FFG tournaments when they start up. Hopefully that opportunity will present itself!
As for experience, most of it has just been from commentary I have done on TH-cam videos. I have another channel that began a few years ago (Next-Gen Diecast Racing), which was really the starting point for me in terms of commentating. My goal is to make a career out of it, though. it is something I really enjoy doing!

Wanted to say great job with the channel - me and my brother just got a Starter Deck and found playing the game confusing despite having played other card games. Watched one of your videos and it was much clearer. Also enjoying studying the matches you have covered to understand the nature of tempo and relative value of each unit as I look to build my first deck and which style I might enjoy
And you sound like a professional show host / sports commentator - clear and articulate, great tone and intonation... really amazing vocal presentation and easy to listen to while watching the game. It adds to the experience, without being distracting. Maybe you do this professionally, or maybe it's a new skill set, but either way, I hope you realize how naturally talented you are at this. It really comes across.
And Fantasy Flight / LucasFilms / Disney... if you read this, hire this man to be the official commentator on your pro scene for sure

Ideas for videos:
- Deck Tech & Sideboard Guides (helps me figure out the meta / which decks to build / invest in)
- Short Interviews / Podcasts (aka. sideline interviews) with players who succeed in tournaments re: their decision making in deck building, the tempo of the game, matchups, etc.
- Coverage of new cards coming out / spoilers and how they might impact the meta for constructed play and/or drafting
These are some fun ideas, but watching the constructed gameplay and the excellent coverage you do is definitely the main reason I watched.
My favourite channel for Draft/Constructed Magic: the Gathering is Nizzahon Magic. Perhaps check out his channel and some others in the Magic space to get more ideas on the types of coverage that these channels provide: www.youtube.com/@NizzahonMagic

It is awesome to hear that you just started playing the game. It really is a fantastic game with great mechanics. I hope you and your brother continue to enjoy it and find a good local scene to get some organized play in.
As for commentary, I do not currently do this professionally, but that is my goal. It is something I am very passionate about, and I am in the process of trying to take the right steps to move in the direction of making it a full-time career.
I do appreciate all the ideas and will absolutely be checking out that channel, as I will look to improve my coverage of future events.

Videos of deck builds could be cool for sure. I will admit that I am not a very good deck builder myself. It would likely need to be a video where I highlight a certain deck while maybe doing an interview with the creator. Something like that could be interesting. There are already some channels offering some great deck profile videos and interviews.
a idea for content would maybe you pick out certain cards from the new sets give your thoughts on the card and how it might change the meta or just showing your favorite art. maybe deck list discussions. idk what do you think of these ideas?
I think some videos on new cards would be really cool for sure. As for deck list discussions, I am personally not a great deck builder. So if I did anything with specific decks, it would likely need to be interviews with players that did well in a major tournament with a cool deck or something like that. I know there are some other great channels covering Star Wars: Unlimited that are more focused on reviewing new cards, doing deck tech videos and things of that nature. I appreciate you giving me some ideas!
