Brother, well, i would suggest that GTA 5, & the GTA 6, you can play & download in Your PC, or in the Ps 4, or Ps 5, it you love too,, just play it, ok,, keep in touch,,👉
You might be able to play it on low settings with most of the sliders below 15. It's a very resource consuming game and needs more CPU power than GPU power.
Don't forget that a PC of that price range with about 50 average priced PC games on Steam would cost about $3200, while an Xbox 360 with Xbox Live membership and 50 average priced Xbox 360 games at Gamestop costs about $5400.
Actually Intel has had the performance crown for some time now, since Core 2 architecture to be exact and things haven't changed. Oh and good luck on the Phenom 9950 @ 4GHz, it takes LN2 to get to 4GHz+.
Medium-High Settings with lower draw distance, shadow density, and other should yield playable framerates. Install the patches, update your drivers, and play with the settings are the only advise I can offer.
all the people, listen, my pc got 1gb of ram, 512mb of videocard and the procesador is intel pentium dual 1.80Ghz - 1.80 Ghz. my GTA 4 worked great with the graphics low, but walked fast.
Does anyone research the matter before they post anymore? Why don't you take a step back and search Google for "quad usage GTA IV". The Q9550 gains a 10FPS lead over the E8600 while maintaining a lower clock speed, quad core usage as it's best. Believe me when I say I've played with the settings and resolutions, but everytime I did I couldn't seem to gain anything major over these settings. I recently replaced this rig with a Q9550/GTX 280.
@kingofking532 It will run on low-medium settings , shadows and vsync off . Upgrade your cpu to a triple core a quad core , because unlike other games GTA Iv is a CPU based game. Ram andthe GPU will do just fine. But I will recommend you a 9800GT or a GT 240. Anyone you can run the game on the mentioned specs , but propably on DX9.0 -Clarke
Not all 4 cores of a quad are used in GTA IV... Btw he is right with lowering your resolution, even this card has problems with lag etc on this game, 1280x800 would be better, using medium texture, highest render, water/shadow/ on very high, you could put reflections on medium-high, and try 20-40 vieuwdistance, detail isn't really needed when you got high vieuw distance, you dont see many diff. Vsynch off, shad dens choose ur own control panel, max prerendered Frames 0, rest low, lower if lag
what if arshpreet isnt a real gamer? i have an alienware just for the portability, but i have built my own, in fact i finished not too long ago. and besides, a gamer is someone who appreciates games, cuz in the end of the day, its only about the game. ;P
Can i run this i upgraded my system specs: Intel Pentium D 1.7GHz (2 CPUs) @ 3.40 GHz 4 GB RAM DDR3 2TB Hard Disk ATI Radeon HD 7770 (2GB) Windows 7 7.1 Ultimate Can i run this on this specs?
Pls help. My gta 4 has graphic issue, and it says that my memory insufficient or something?. And its always orange colored. My pc system : Ryzen 3 1200 8gb ddr4 Gtx 1060 3gb Gigabyte b350 (mitx)
The problem is GTA IV is very *shitty* optimised. GTA IV suffers with those new graphic cards , in fact it works better with some old graphic cards ! I dunno how to help, set settings to low and resolution to the lowest .......
Hey man how do i run this game smoothly with zero lag?? If i press any key other than arrow keys, the game freezes for like, half a second. My specs- Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7500 @ 2.93GHz Ram: 2.1 GB OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition (build 7600), 32-bit Video card: ATI Radeon HD 4350 (Microsoft Corporation WDDM 1.1)(1 gb memory) I manage to play, but there are some missions where u hav to tap spacebar repeatedly, and that is a pain! Plz Help!
hey i got a intel core 2 duo t6400 @ 2.00hgz 2.00 gb ram running windows 7 ultimate 32 bit. can i run this game good or do i need to upgrade something??
To be accurate it should be "can cost more". A computer could be built on a very reasonable budget and cost the same as or only slightly more than a console, whilst outperforming the console on every front. Consoles are the bane of the true king of gaming's (computer) existence. Consoles use very outdated hardware so even lower end processors and video cards can offer a better gaming experience. To put it bluntly, consoles aren't even comparable to a computer- totally different levels.
Many reviews prove that GTA IV is VERY* CPU bound. 92% CPU usage on a E8400@4GHz is no joke! The only break you can catch is with more than 2 cores; any Q6600 @ 3GHz+ will blow threw GTA IV with ease. Anything with 2 cores or less and you're just scraping by, CPU bound. Hell you don't even have the GPU power needed for the game so I know sure as hell you aren't playing the game on high settings (unless your draw distance and other settings are near 0)!
I'm going to, but if i have these specs, can i still play the game with a bit lagg? specs: Windows 8 AMD E1-1200 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 1.40 GHz
Well sorry to be the one to break it to you, but GTA IV is more resource hungry than Crysis. I can run Crysis on Very High at 1440x900, but I can hardly break 30FPS in GTA IV with medium settings. It turned out to be a very poorly optimized port so don't expect great frame rates from anything lower than a 9600GT/decent dual core. I don't even get great frame rates myself, but that's because my CPU is holding me back. As it stands though you need more CPU power than GPU power to run this game.
Quite frankly the poster of this video has no idea what he/she is doing. If they would just tone down the resolution to 1280x720 or something similar, they would gain a massive amount of FPS. On this rig I play at high settings at 1280x720: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ at 2.3 GHz GeForce 8600GT 1GB 2 GB RAM Windows XP Sp3 Seriously, you don't need a quad to play this game, you just need to be smart. There's no need to max out your resolution.
it might be a little laggish. try to see if your computer can have the ram upgraded and the hard disk and pick those up and install them. or, if you have the money, pick up an alienware. fantastic gaming computers.
@az09az42 Seriously? If you play at the same visual quality the console offers almost any computer can play it at 30FPS. I have one of the most outdated, and slowest, dual cores you can buy and a video card that can be bought for $50 or less now. You can build a computer that will whoop the pants off of any console for a little over $300 and in the end the computer you build will always be the more capable device.
Guys i need help , I bought new gta 4 today and I installed the both disc but after that I open "GTA 4 EXE" to play it says "The procedure entry point GetVersionExA could not be located in the dynamic link library C:/Windows/SYSTEM32/WMVCore.DLL." Please guys help me I really need it :(
These work fine for me so I see no reason to update. I always hear about people having problems with this or that, yet I don't have any problems. In short, I'm content with the performance and stability of these.

Is it just me, or does GTA IV feel more vibrant and alive than GTA V?
Yeah dude Gta iv is more realistic than v
GTA 4, still the best my friends, than the GTA 5, & GTA 6, in the Pc, games,😄

It's incredible, this game is not boring even when you aren't actually doing anything.

is it hard to control on the pc? cuz im thinking about getting it but idk if ill like the controls for it

You'll just squeeze by at lower settings like mine. You really need a quad core to play the game at decent frame rates.
wich program do you use to record the video?
@az09az42 Its running slow because, I suppose, it has Frame Limiter turned on, as it had in San Andreas. Or your computer can't handle it. (:
Can i run this i upgraded my system specs:
Intel Pentium D 1.7GHz (2 CPUs) @ 3.40 GHz

allright, thanks for the quick reply!

No, always seen that as cheating....
Why even play the game if you are going to let it do most of the aiming for you?
My processor is ok but i tell it in the wrong way
its total speed in not 3.40GHz it is 2CPUs of 3.4GHz
Total is 6.80Ghz is this enough?
i like how he cit the car from the side at the beginning ...ace ^^
true lol you forgot your sunglasses :p

Wew! you can run GTA IV with 1 GB RAM!!! But you mean (x32) or (x86)?
Do you saw that crash at 2:09
