Я давно так делала. Только пояс можно из того же пояса сделать, стоит только разрезать его вдоль и использовать его внутреннюю сторону для надставки, совмести швы пояса с боковыми швами брюк. Внутренню часть пояса можно сделать из подкладочной ткани или подобрать подходящую.

А я поступила ещё проще: карманы не удаляла, просто разрезала над карманами пояс, распорола там где карманы крепятся возле пояса. Получившиеся промежутки на поясе восполнила широкой резинкой . В итоге в талии стало свободнее на 6см.
