In this series I'll be talking about the The Rising Sign/Ascendant // How other people see you // Your shadow side.
Sounds like a lot huh? The Rising sign/ascendant is an angle in your chart and it is how you see the world, your initial approaches to situations, and how others see you when they first meet you. 🌾
The Descendant on the other hand is another angle in your chart that is opposite your ascendant/ rising sign so therefore it's your shadow side. It's what you don't see in yourself that you only discover when someone (a lover) shows it to you! 😈
Therefore it's important to embrace both our rising sign/ascendant AND our descendant (shadow side). 🌷

Cancer Risings have very evocative eyes. Full of emotion, they make you feel something when you look into them (cardinal water). Very soulful.

Whenever I'm not actively making a facial expression people either ask if I'm ok or just straight up tell me I look depressed. I'm very optimistic and am rarely upset but that doesn't seem to be how people see me at first

Spot on. Cancer rising with Libra sun. I have been literally told by everyone they feel so comfortable around me. At the same time I’m moody and cautious of those I meet that might pierce my shell. Perfect analogy using the crab to talk about this!

Im a cancer rising and people definitely enjoy poking at my shell despite my Aries moon. I feel vulnerable and seen wherever I go especially cause my moon is in the tenth house! But its fun because people are intrigued lol
Oh I have those 2 placements as well. In my case, I kind of... hate that I am a very warm man but there's this very direct and energetic angry person inside me. Hope I can make them get along better as I grow.

I'm a Pisces Sun with a Moon in Capricorn and a Cancer Rising. I started learning about astrology for some reason several years and looking at the specifics, it makes a lot of sense when I look at my own life. It's funny how something that seemed so insignificant actually has a lot of weight behind it. Go figure.

I am an Aqua Sun and Aqua Moon and Cancer Rising.
I find everything you've said is to be true. I feel it probably differs in proportion to others with different chart energies. I think as I get older, my Cancer Rising becomes more present in my life. I think it compliments my Aqua energy nicely, I can reach out to many people and nurture the heck out of them lol. As I got older, I think the desire to help people became more important to me, especially when it comes to younger people that I interact with.
A lot of people approach and trust me. I don't judge people, and I sorta see through to the truth of people in a soft compassionate way. Most people say, you seem calm or comfortable. It's a reassuring feeling that I get from people. A lot of sun signs aproach me and feel comfortable with me but I feel my closest friends are Pisces and Aries.
I like to feel secure, and yeah I will feel things out a bit before jumping right in. I might be more so than say an Aries with a Cancer Rising. My Aqua sun and moon probably will make me analyze a situation. Tap Analytics and intuition to decide to move forward. So a lot of observation first. Aries probably would be more willing to leap forward quicker than me perhaps.

@@@TanAstrology I think for me I always look to associate with people that I feel I need to improve upon. Pisces people, I feel more understood and also I find not so alien. I always like to reach out to people and help, and I find from Pisces people I can learn to be more compassionate and understanding of other they have a deep emotional aspect to them. Also, I don't always speak about how I am feeling when I should and I find Pisces people just seem to see what happens below the surface and are there to help.
I have friends of that are Sag in Leos but Aries stand out more for me for these reasons I am about to explain. Aries is not afraid to take action or move forward. They have a strong drive to move forward on all aspects and they encourage you to be your very best. If you feel down they have the ability to motivate you to take action on things. For me, I feel comfortable to be less serious, more playful and more relaxed. Healthwise the are a great motivator to improve your health. I also like planing and putting plans into action with Aries.
I think in some ways maybe my Cancer Rising jumps in. I find both of these signs seem to ask me a lot of questions or look for advice or need help. As they help me in some ways I give back in so many ways. I will usually Look after them and ensure that they in good spirits. If they need a ride somewhere or need someone to talk to I am always there. IF they want to plan something but they don't confident to get everyone together they generally come to me and I help get things moving. Also, I find that they trust me a lot. If something is meant to be kept a secret then my lips are sealed on the matter.
Over all, there is a balance of give and take I guess with those signs. For me anyways. I can equally contribute to help them and they can equally contribute to help me. At the same time I feel comfortable with these signs more so than others.

What if you have 04’ degree cancer in the first house but the rest is literally the same placidus as a Gemini rising ? It’s very confusing because both signs resonate but Gemini rising resonate the most. In fact , in Vedic astrology I am a Gemini rising

Yeah no my descendant isn't Capricorn it's Aquarius. Why is it every video I click on says a different order of the houses. At first my chart says I'm a Leo rising. Great. Cool. Then I realize my houses are matched more towards Cancer. That's cool too since I'm very emotional. Then I watch this and everything is out of whack again. It's hard to wrap my mind around something that has no ground to stand on.

I am all 3 at once sometimes and I do have a resting bitch face 😂 I get told all the time and everyone who meets me says I'm so cute and adorable because I'm short and have big eyes 😂 I am very moody and is very attractive to someone who is very grounded and mature. On point girl! But because I am a Gemini, I dont think I have the cute watery eye look, but my eyes r always watery 😂🤣
