The lynx levelers you are using under your jacks are made in the USA. I have 3 bags of them in our RV and love them. We use them almost every place we camp.
Love my Anderson hitch. Have had it for 6 years now and no issues. Being a 70 year old single female traveling full time, love its light weight. Easy to remove when I need use of my full truck bed. Thanks for all the information. Love buying American made
This is the second camper I’ve used snap pads on, a 5th wheel and now an “A” ! Wouldn’t be without them. I’ve also used X chocks on my TT and 5th wheel for over 4 years with no problems whatsoever!
Been meaning to add to your made in USA list of handy (must have) items for 5th wheel. A large enough ice chest cooler to carry extra ice, sodas, beer, water or use while defrosting freezer. We have a Grizzly, similar to Yeti - and let me say IT saved our truck bed when our hitch was NOT properly locked.. We almost all have dropped the trailer on our beds at one time or another. The cooler prevented damaging ours and only received minor scratches! WHO KNEW!
Love the rhino tote. Right on both sides of the top cap about an inch down the sides it developed several cracks leaking out fluids. I was one week from my warranty expiring and called and sent pictures of the cracks. They shipped me a new tote without hesitation. Great customer service and standing behind their product.
IRVWPC (intelligent rv water pump controller) made in Canada with fast shipping to the US and top notch support. I just installed mine after wanting it for a couple of years. Awesome product. For the bumper pull crowd ProPride 3P hitch. US built and the best customer support you can get. We love ours also!
B & W company has a great warranty for their hitch product. We did need to exchange the base as a crack appeared after we bought our truck with it. They shipped us a replacement with just a phone call. Who does that!
I agree. I believe it is a bit of blame shifting in the frame flex aftermath. It looks like the true results are showing some of these things like Sumo Springs and Gen-Y hitch can help and extend the life of the RV.
The SumoSprings are worth it. I put them on the rear of my F-150 first. I like how it improved the stability & ride when carrying a load. And actually improved handling when unloaded. I put them on my travel trailer the following year. So much better all around. Articles in the trailer are more where I left them. Less trailer body roll as well.
@AllAboutRVs I have had the Gen Y executive installed on my 40' 5th wheel for over 2 years. I love it! Side note: my frame flex was covered with it installed.
Beech Lane wireless RV leveling system is made in America. They also have other products too that are made in America. Not sure if all of there products are. I did buy the leveling kit similar to Anderson lever wedges, from them. And I just purchased auto leveling system, but have not set it yet.
@@AllAboutRVs Love my Tote Tank. Use while mouchdocking and at RV campsites where we have no sewer hookup. So much easier to attach to my truck and go to the dump station every couple of days!
Up in the truck. I like Bulletpoint who manufactures phone, gps, tire pressure dash mount systems. Very solid solution that I highly recommend. Made in USA and they taught veteran support which is very cool.
Just watched. Loved this. We have the BW companion for our 2012 F350 with the flip ball. Great hitch. Thankful we didn't need the pucks. We have the Rhino dump tote. Upgraded to front wheels. Highly recommend that upgrade. We use the Rhino sewer hose. It's my favorite. Really appreciate the highlight for "Made in USA". Camco sometimes feels "generic" but many of their products are worthwhile and glad to hear at least some are still US make
I stopped using my X-chock because the screws fall out. Last trip, three screws failed at once and the unit collapsed. I got T-chocks this time from Stromberg Carlson. The came from the USA and I hope they will be better. X-chocks get a lot of good reviews, but no one seems to have long-term reviews.
One Note of caution on the GenY hitch, suggest you confirm with your RV frame manufacture that the hitch will not void the Warranty. I know at the time I purchased my Reese Gen 2 goose box the GenY hitches were not approved by Lippert.
I hurt my back lifting the B&W 5th wheel hitch. When I switched to the Gen-Y gooseneck neck pinbox. Now I have my bed space back. The Gen-Y is shorter than the TrailAir pinbox that came with the 5th wheel. It was noisy and chucked now I don’t have any of that.I put the Sumo springs on the front of my 2022 F-450 to help with the sway of the truck.
Another very good video J! You're a "national treasure" to RV'ers. Hey, your rig is looking great; how do you get it so polished? Have you done a video on that?
As usual, excellent video. We have a smaller class A gas rig on the Ford F53 chassis. The Sumo springs were the last piece of our suspension upgrade, after shocks , sway bars, traction bars, and steering stabilizer. Sumo springs were a big help. . I believe most if not all the Supersteer products are made in the USA. I know they focus more on the motorized market. Thanks again.
There are several Canadian Companies that make RV Queen Mattresses. Douglas & Endy both make good foam mattresses that are shipped in a box and you just open it, once you've got it inside the trailer. Since we retire this July, we are serious looking at replace or terrible original mattress with one of these two brand. (Not sure if they ship to US.)
As far as I can tell Grand Design is the only manufacturer that doesn’t recommend the Sumo Springs. Could it be because of the frame failure problems they’re having on their bigger rigs?
RE Sumo Springs Jared, yes I believe there is some controversy about them. I 100% believed in them too - felt that they would reduce the harsh bounce the frame of my 5th wheel gets from the road, that it makes total sense that they should help the trailer ride better and last longer. In Dec 23 installed the correct Sumo Springs on my Grand Design Momentum 376 in expectation that they would help reduce the likelihood of us experiencing frame flex/frame failure, by March 24 and and about 5000 miles, I had my trailer in for servicing at an RV service center for something totally unrelated and they noticed and brought to my attention that the frame of my 5th wheel was getting noticeably bent exactly where the Sump Springs come into contact with the frame. I know all the hype around Grand Design's frame issues, and that is why I thought Sumo Springs would be a good investment for my unit, but low and behold, the chassis/frame of my toy hauler could not withstand the stress that Sumo Springs put on it. I'm now going to upgrade to the Roadmaster Slipper Spring + shocks, but I can clearly say Sumo Springs did not work for me (I now have for sale a 4 month old set Sump Springs for triple axle trailer!).
@@AllAboutRVs I wrote that I was now going to upgrade to the Roadmaster Slipper Springs … but “now” hasn’t quite happened yet. 😀 This week I’ve been negotiating with the two sellers of the Roadmaster products that I’ve filtered down to and hope to finalize my order today. After 6 months in U.S. we just crossed back into Canada and the distributors here say the tandem kit is in stock but the 3rd axle kit that I need is 4-6 weeks out - so I might be a bit before I can tell you what I think.
Yes that looked bad. We had them on our last 5th wheel and took it up to Alaska and didn't have damage from the Sumo Springs. I'm going to look into it a bit closer.
Rhino Tote Tank IS great, but why on earth did they put the dump on the wrong side!? If you drag it behind the truck to the dump station the dump its on the wrong side and you have to unhook and wrestle it around! It should be on the “off door side”. I emailed the company asking if there was a purpose and got no response. Makes absolutely no sense at all.
We put the sumo springs on our F 150 and feel they make a difference. The truck sags less and when trucks pass, we dont get moved around like before. And before you keyboard warriors say anything, yes a F 250 would be better
While I respect some people wanting to buy made in the USA. I’d be more interested in a sticker that indicated that workers were paid a live-able wage for their work and the CEO is not getting paid 100 times more than the average worker.
Gen Y hitches turned out to be garbage and didn't work as advertised, so Hensley and Air Safe is all I consider now. There's a reason we use air ride suspension on tractor trailers, but with a pick up, you can build it into the hitch and save your 5th wheel, gooseneck or bumper pull trailer the stress on the neck/frame and all the welds that hold your rig and body together.
All I care about is the highest quality and best design. I don’t care if it’s made by Martians on the dark side of the moon. Some stuff made in America is good. A lot is crap quality. Just look at American automobiles.
Avoid Camco products at all cost. Poor quality, bad designs. Tote tanks leak or wheels break, any kind of hose will burst or leak after a while, electrical cords connectors will short out or melt. RV covers will disintegrate in a mater of weeks.
I guess I'll be the guy that respectfully points out that "Made in the U.S.A" does not guarantee quality just as "Organic" doesn't guarantee good food. Choose wisely. Many fine products come from overseas, such as the device you are reading this comment on.
PS. I have one to add to the list and it is the Hensley BD5 5th wheel hitch. IT IS THE HEAVIEST. It has air bags, shocks and the head tilts forward, reverse, left and right. It supports your frame like a beast. Built in air compressor and coming in at a whopping $4k. I know I lost my mind but when we purchased our dream rv-don't mess around.

Anderson hitch. Have used it for the last ten years with NO issues at all. Light weight and simple to set up.
They’re junk. We had one and the weld failed and they didn’t want to warranty it. Tried to claim we were over weight with a GD 31MB

1up bike racks. Best for e-bikes on the back of trailers. Made in Wisconsin

Goodyear Endurance trailer tires awesome and made in USA
"Good" one!

ProPride 3P hitch for bumper pull trailers. The only hitch that completely eliminates trailer sway. Made in Michigan.
I added the genY hitch and ABSOLUTELY love it. Every manufacturer needs to make these standard on their RV’s.
Good to hear.
😂 wiping off the tote tank after hanging it 🍻
Cheers!
Thanks for sharing! Sumo springs are awesome. They supplement the trailer suspension nicely. Don’t know why a manufacturer would recommend against it.

Anderson hitch camper leveler.
Curt Crosswing hitch has been amazing for us. It is also made in America, requires no significant change to the pinbox.

I added Sumo Springs for my tow vehicle. Made all the difference in ride, especially porposing on uneven streets.
My truck has Sumo, my Class A has Sumo, my Van has Sumo springs. For the money? No brainer improves ride quality and stability
Hmmm. That's good to know. I tow a very, very basic Nissan Versa, and it's not exactly the smoothest ride. Where did you get yours?

Goodyear Endurance tires made in Gadsden, Alabama and Fayetteville, North Carolina
"Good" One!
Unfortunately the Gadsden, AL planted closed several years ago. Goodyear has since sold the property to the city. I drive by the site most everyday.
Thanks!
Wow thank you!
I put Sumo Springs on my small class C, and its 100% better.
I just added them to my enclosed motorbike trailer as well.
Nice. We did notice a difference when we put them on our last RV.
Tough Hook Hangers. We use the RHINO hanger from them and it’s great to hang those heavier items. I think they are based out of Montana.
